Superpole was out next where the winners from the Pro Open heats and semis go against the clock for a single lap to decide who gets the first gate pick. Jay Marmont first out and looked good but the timers failed to register a time for the reigning champion. Troy Dorron was next out and looking aggressive, and taking a very different approach to record a fantastic 30.18 lap. Hibberd up next with a 31.1 while the decision was made to send Jay Marmont out last for another lap due to the timing failure for his run. Cheyne Boyd had to have his run though and again doing things a little bit differently but to great effect to be the first man under the 30 second barrier, an amazing 29.64! Could Jay respond? He did just that, a blistering 29.54 to get first pick at the gate in the Pro Open main. And on that form it would be a brave man to bet against yet another Motorex KTM 1-2 in the Pro Open main.
