A new look British Sidecar Championship is to be launched in 2004 with a double-header race schedule and 13-round calendar, all alongside the British Superbike series.

The Sidecar championship brings with it Britainšs best teams and innovative livery design for the spectacular three-wheel machines as they follow the corporate image of motorcycle manufacturers.

Title sponsor of the championship will be leading regional airline Eastern Airways and the series also boasts a range of support from established companies, from both inside and outside the motorcycle industry.

"The sidecar class has always been spectacular and an exciting show for fans but quite often gone unnoticed. The livery changes will change that," believes Eastern Airways Managing Director Richard Lake.

He continues: "I'm pleased we can support the return of Sidecar racing to the top level of British motorcycle sport after a break of more than 10 years. And, judging by the level of enthusiasm so far, I'm convinced we're in for an exceptional 2004 championship."

The Eastern Airways British Sidecar Championship offers a healthy entry with qualifying numbers already over-subscribed.

Final championship details are subject to contract with British Superbike Championship organisers, MCRCB Events.
