Nicky Hayden completed the second day of the three-day tests at Sepang, Malaysia today. The 22-year-old enjoyed a full days riding in prefect conditions at the sweeping circuit on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur.

The 2003 MotoGP Rookie of the Year is there testing with other Honda MotoGP teams. Alex Barros, announced yesterday (Tuesday) as Haydens team mate for 2004, will join the Repsol Honda Team in Sepang in the February tests.

“That felt much better than yesterday. Faster, more laps, great weather. We’re on last years bike but are testing new engine parts. HRC are working real hard and are makin’ real good steps in the right direction. We’ve been testing new Michelin tyres as well and are really pleased with the results. In all, today was really positive. It’s just great to get back on the bike after the break and I’m really fired up for the tests over the comin’ months and the season ahead.”

Day one: 2m04.8 57 laps
Day two: 2m03.7 84 laps
