World Supersport 2004 - Round 1 - Valencia - Saturday Qualifying

Muggas set the pace in this afternoon’s final qualifying of the 1st round of the 2004 World Supersport Championship and took his 8th pole position in his World Supersport Career.

Although the cold temperature and terrible winds Muggeridge was only one tenth off the best ever qualifying lap from 2002 and this on race tyres.

Muggas comments: “The wind was a bit more consistent today and therefore easier to judge, we could actually tell which corners will be really windy. Unlike yesterday, where it was like Russian Roulette. We also found some better settings for the colder conditions and the bike is working like a treat, thanks to the great job of my mechanics. I’m really happy to start the first race of the season from pole position, especially after all the work we have done through winter down here in Spain.”

The front row of tomorrows 23 lap race will be completed by Karl’s team mate Broc Parkes, Yamaha Italia rider Fabien Foret, and on 4th place of the grid we find another CBR 600 RR rider witch Sebastien Charpentier.
