• 0854 - Corpe gets the win with an awesome 1m45.940 on the final lap to beat Stack to the flag by 0.015 of a second, a great tussle between the two riders who were the class of the field in this bout.  Stuart Loly took third place a huge 13 seconds behind, that is a huge gulf in what was only a five lap race. The final lap between Corpe and Stack was a cracker with both men lapping considerably faster than they had all weekend, a 45.950 to Corpe and a 46.04 to Stack.  Be nice if Robbie could be in that mix later in the day if he can get his Suzuki back up and running
• 0852 - Another 46 from Ralph Stack to go into the lead, a 46.921 to the Suzuki man as he continues to enjoy a close tussle with the Kawasaki mounted Karl Corpe
• 0850 - The leading duo already have more than five seconds on Loly who in turn has 8 seconds over Jason Patterson so the field really starting to spread out. It looks as though the Phillis crew failed to get their machine up and running for this opening bout but hopefully they can get Robbie on track this afternoon
• 0849 - Corpe and Stack still going hammer and tong up front, Stack just dipped into the 46s with a 1m46.946, the fastest lap of the weekend thus far for these Forgotten Era machines.
• 0846 - Okay up and running again in this first race of the weekend and it is Karl Corpe the early leader from Ralph Stack and the pair quickly pulling away from Stuart Loly. This trio already out on their own and pulling away hand over fist from fourth placed Jason Patterson
• 0837 - The race has been reduced to five laps and they will get another warm up lap before things kick off again
• 0832 - No sooner had the race got underway before the red flag came out for an incident
• 0828 - Quite a few of the Historic bikes experienced some problems yesterday including one of the favourites. Some valves kissed the pistons in Robbie Phillis' machine which has seen the crew working furiously in an effort to rebuild the engine and very shortly we will find out how they went with that mission...
