- 1641 - Jamie starts with a
complete clean sweep of both Superbike and Supersport. The
others are going to have find something between here and
Winton if they are going to make a game of it this year...
Dan second in a fantastic return to form. Krusty third with
the DVS Honda squad which no doubt has some doubters eating
their words...
- 1640 - Last lap now and
Jamie leads by 2.2 seconds, Krusty still third but not
completely safe from Allerton as the Allect Racing Honda has
closed up considerably on him over this last couple of
laps...
- 1638 - Two laps to run
now, Jamie leads by 1.4 seconds but Dan doesn't look to have
given up the chase. I believe that currently the race order
in the tyre battle sees Dunlop filling the top six
positions...
- 1636 - Jamie leads Dan by
1.24 seconds with three laps to run, Krusty a further 6.2
seconds adrift but with a 3.4 second buffer over the gaggle
battling over fifth position headed by Allerton
- 1634 - Gilesy's demise
hands Krusty third position and he has a clear buffer over
fourth placed Allerton. It looks as though Yamaha will
leave this round with positions 1 and 2 in the series with
Honda satellite riders Allerton and Fergusson in third and
fourth... But four laps still to run and anything could
happen yet!
- 1633 - Gilesy down!
No points from race two for Shawn! A nightmare start to the
season. He is up and obviously fine but what a disastrous
start to the season for Shawn. And then a lap later Bugden
rolls to a stop to add insult to injury for Suzuki
supporters
- 1632 - Dan Stauffer has
got through on Giles now and immediately pulled away,
suspect Giles may have some problems
- 1631 - Jamie the only man
in the 32s on that last lap and leads now by 1.3 seconds
over Giles who in turn has a couple of tenths on Dan
Stauffer. Fergusson still 1.6 seconds further back in fourth
place but with a clear buffer over that hectic battle for
fifth which is currently being fronted by Allerton with
Charlton nipping at his heels. James Spence down
- 1630 - A big pack battling
over fifth spot with Allerton, Coxhell, Charlton, Moriwaki
and Bugden all in the mix. Holland seems to be losing
a little pace, that injured shoulder may be causing him some
problems at the end of this long day
- 1629 - Jamie responds to
the challenge... The gap back out to 9-tenths of a second
now, Dan still with Gilesy also.
- 1628 - Gilesy creeping a
little closer to Jamie now and has gained a bike length or
two on Dan... Krusty a further second behind then it is a
further three seconds back to Coxhell and Allerton
- 1627 - I must have put a
curse on Jamie.. That last lap he must have lost some time
somewhere as Gilesy pulls some time back on him, the gap
only 8-tenths, and Giles is not coming on his own... Dan
Stauffer is banging fairings with the Suzuki man as they try
to close the gap to Jamie. Krusty into the 32s now also
- 1626 - Krusty has been a
quiet achiever.... Dan is right on Gilesy now but Krusty is
up to fourth now. On current form though nobody is
going to touch Jamie, he put in a 32.2 on lap two.
- 1625 - Bryan Staring down
on the exit of turn one and goes all the way to the tyre
barrier but he is up and okay
- 1624 - Gilesy through on
Bryan on the run to turn nine, immediately starts to pull
away, the three-time champ wanting to prevent Jamie becoming
a two-time champ!
- 1623 - Jamie has the
hammer down to try and pull away, Giles looking for a way
past Staring. Dan Stauffer attacking Russell Holland, these
tussles really giving Jamie the chance to get away...
- 1622 - Jamie into the lead
now between turns 9 and 10, Staring second and holds Gilesy
off down the main straight to maintain second place early on
lap two
- 1621 - Staring again gets
a ripper start to lead the field early on, Jamie second,
Shawn third, Holland fourth...
- 1620 - We are getting
ready for a race start in this final Superbike encounter...
