• 1452 - Track temp this afternoon is 40c, down from 50c in the morning session.  Gilesy was running a rear tyre that had over 40 laps on it this morning. With around half the field on Dunlops new tyres are being used sparingly as it is not a never ending supply, even for the factory boys. Jamie has put in a 32.7 so far in this session, Dan 33.3, Charlton 33.6, Johnson 33.6, Moriwaki 33.7, Allerton 34.0, Holland 34.2, Giles 34.2
• 1441 - Superbikes up next for their final practice session. A little breeze has got up and I think the track temperature would be cooler than this morning. A wide band of showers are out to the west at the moment but I don't think they will trouble us in this session

• 1409 - O'Halloran just knocked Crowe down to third by a slender 3 thousandths of a second
• 1406 - Crowe is chipping away at improving his time bit by bit, down to 34.46 now but still nowhere near Jamie
• 1356 - Jamie down to 33.5 now, Crowe next best on 34.8.  Very overcast and dim here now, still a little warm and sultry and very little breeze, but lots of low cloud around

• 1310 - Ben Henry on the top of the charts now with a 40.09
• 1302- Some good news was released today that suggest the Federal Government is considering an extra injection of 19 million dollars in to road funding...  While that sounds so generous in fact it only means that out of the 38 cent a litre fuel excise we all pay 12 cents is reinvested in the road system, still far from what should be invested, but a lot better than the current pitiful 7 cents of that 38 cents that goes back to roads

• 1242 - Krusty and Dan have both improved slightly but not enough to promote themselves further up the leaderboard, 34.13 to Dan and 34.49 to the Krustaceous one
• 1241 - Sources report that John Hopkins' crash during testing yesterday at Qatar has left him with broken bones in both his wrists and feet. Here's hoping for a quick recovery
• 1240 - G'day to Azza and Mel watching proceedings from their Californian pad.  I am going to have to try some of your sausages Azza, I hear they are pretty good  :->
• 1238 - Giles up to third quickest, 34.12 just ahead of Dan's 34.16 and Maxwell's 34.17
• 1237 - Johnson down to 33.4
• 1235 - Fergusson improves to fifth quickest and fastest Honda, 1m34.56. But then got pushed back to sixth when Maxwell put in a 34.17
• 1233 - Dan has improved to a 34.1, but then Shannon went through with a 33.8.
• 1231 - Track conditions are quite warm, not too much breeze around.
• 1228 - With more than 15 minutes still remaining in the session most of the quick riders have put in seven or eight laps. Jamie still on top with that 32.1, Johnson next 34.1 then it is Dan Stauffer 34.5, Shawn Giles 34.5, Holland 34.7, Fergusson 34.9, Charlton 35.0, Maxwell 35.1
• 1223 - Jamie down to 32.1 now, the next best is two seconds a lap slower at 34.1 and that is Shannon Johnson on the Kawasaki. Dan Stauffer 34.5, Holland 34.7, Charlton 35.0, Maxwell 35.1, Giles 35.5, Staring 35.5
