• 1548 - Jamie and Dan are both fine, Jamie a little beaten up but getting around fine. His R1 though is quite damaged and his crew will have plenty of work to do this evening. Both of them went down around the same time with what looked like front end loses, perhaps both trying a new front tyre that turned out wasn't at the correct temperature or suited to the conditions
• 1526 - Provisional Superbike Grid - Jamie on his own but the rest down to 16th place are incredibly close

• 1524 - Jamie is on his own out in front but the rest of the field at incredibly close, the closest I can remember, less than a second covers 2nd o 15th!  Moriwaki up to seventh, riders on their last lap of the session now...
• 1523 - Bryan Staring the big mover in the restarted session, from nowhere we just promoted himself up to third quickest!  A 32.798 puts him only a hundredth of a second behind his team-mate, but still neither of them within a second of Jamie...  Etheridge up to fifth!
• 1520 - A lot of the top riders were swearing loudly when they returned to pitlane, obviously the red flag had come out when they were on a good lap. Riders heading back out of pitlane now for the remaining few minutes of the session
• 1518 - We believe both Jamie and Dan could both be down, at different parts of the circuit, but we also believe both are not seriously hurt
• 1511 - Giles and Coxhell both went out and improved their time, Shawn a 32.8 and Coxhell 32.9.  Now the red flag is out with a little under five minutes remaining
• 1507 - With just under 10 minutes to run the state of affairs is as follows

• 1505 - Some riders are still getting used to riding a Superbike, like Bryan Staring, while some others that have been very successful before are still getting their heads back up to speed. Craig Coxhell finding the Australian Superbike very different to the FIM or Superstock spec bikes he has been riding in recent seasons 
• 1455 - Jamie has just lowered the mark to 31.773 before returning to pitlane
• 1453 - Superbike Final Qualifying underway now, conditions are fine and warm with only a slight breeze however the wind seems to be up and down and changing direction all the time also which could cause the riders a few problems

• 1439 - Moller down a turn nine but up unhurt. Leigh-Smith crosses the line to take the win, Galvin second, Scott third then it was Gross, Rigoli, Thompson, Dunn, Metcher, Wilkinson, Burke, Sutherland and the very young Jackson Leigh-Smith in 12th
• 1436 - Leigh-Smith now leads on track, Moller close behind and then it is Galvin, Scott, Gross, Metcher, Rigoli and Thompson
• 1434 - Moller leads by a full second over Leigh-Smith but the gap is narrowing, Galvin more than a second further back. Wonder if Leigh-Smith knows Moller has a ten second penalty and thus he would actually be leading the race...
• 1430 - Rhys Moller has been given a jump start penalty though so there goes his possible race win out of the window!
• 1429 - Moller in the lead now from Galvin and Leigh-Smith

• 1337 - Kruck is ahead of Cartwright... It will be a drag race to the line for second place between these two... McMartin will be the winner
• 1335 - McMartin has escaped now, the battle for the remaining podium positions though is a cracker with Cartwright, Kruck, Charlton and Roe all in contention
• 1333 - McMartin in the lead now and enjoying a 2.4 second buffer over Cartwright who in turn is under attack from Kruck, Charlton and Roe
• 1330 - Cartwright in front now, Charlton must have made a mistake as he has slipped to fourth. McMartin closing on Cartwright... Roly Kruck running third, only 1.5 seconds cover the top four
• 1329 - First Nakedbike / Pro Twin race of the season underway now. Defending Champion Jon Cartwright has jumped ship to Benelli this year from the dominant Yamaha and has been showing good early form.  Yamaha instantly responded by putting Scott Charlton on the spare bike left over from Simon Rattenbury's 2006 season and Charlton has been setting the pace in the qualifying sessions and at the end of lap one only 0.024 of a second separates Charlton and Rattenbury!
• 1313 - Ben Henry takes the clear win by 3.5 seconds over Darren Sciberras with Charles Hern rounding out the podium. Provisional Results
