- 1641 - Jamie starts with a
complete clean sweep of both Superbike and Supersport. The
others are going to have find something between here and
Winton if they are going to make a game of it this year...
Dan second in a fantastic return to form. Krusty third with
the DVS Honda squad which no doubt has some doubters eating
their words...
- 1640 - Last lap now and
Jamie leads by 2.2 seconds, Krusty still third but not
completely safe from Allerton as the Allect Racing Honda has
closed up considerably on him over this last couple of
laps...
- 1638 - Two laps to run
now, Jamie leads by 1.4 seconds but Dan doesn't look to have
given up the chase. I believe that currently the race order
in the tyre battle sees Dunlop filling the top six
positions...
- 1636 - Jamie leads Dan by
1.24 seconds with three laps to run, Krusty a further 6.2
seconds adrift but with a 3.4 second buffer over the gaggle
battling over fifth position headed by Allerton
- 1634 - Gilesy's demise
hands Krusty third position and he has a clear buffer over
fourth placed Allerton. It looks as though Yamaha will
leave this round with positions 1 and 2 in the series with
Honda satellite riders Allerton and Fergusson in third and
fourth... But four laps still to run and anything could
happen yet!
- 1633 - Gilesy down!
No points from race two for Shawn! A nightmare start to the
season. He is up and obviously fine but what a disastrous
start to the season for Shawn. And then a lap later Bugden
rolls to a stop to add insult to injury for Suzuki
supporters
- 1632 - Dan Stauffer has
got through on Giles now and immediately pulled away,
suspect Giles may have some problems
- 1631 - Jamie the only man
in the 32s on that last lap and leads now by 1.3 seconds
over Giles who in turn has a couple of tenths on Dan
Stauffer. Fergusson still 1.6 seconds further back in fourth
place but with a clear buffer over that hectic battle for
fifth which is currently being fronted by Allerton with
Charlton nipping at his heels. James Spence down
- 1630 - A big pack battling
over fifth spot with Allerton, Coxhell, Charlton, Moriwaki
and Bugden all in the mix. Holland seems to be losing
a little pace, that injured shoulder may be causing him some
problems at the end of this long day
- 1629 - Jamie responds to
the challenge... The gap back out to 9-tenths of a second
now, Dan still with Gilesy also.
- 1628 - Gilesy creeping a
little closer to Jamie now and has gained a bike length or
two on Dan... Krusty a further second behind then it is a
further three seconds back to Coxhell and Allerton
- 1627 - I must have put a
curse on Jamie.. That last lap he must have lost some time
somewhere as Gilesy pulls some time back on him, the gap
only 8-tenths, and Giles is not coming on his own... Dan
Stauffer is banging fairings with the Suzuki man as they try
to close the gap to Jamie. Krusty into the 32s now also
- 1626 - Krusty has been a
quiet achiever.... Dan is right on Gilesy now but Krusty is
up to fourth now. On current form though nobody is
going to touch Jamie, he put in a 32.2 on lap two.
- 1625 - Bryan Staring down
on the exit of turn one and goes all the way to the tyre
barrier but he is up and okay
- 1624 - Gilesy through on
Bryan on the run to turn nine, immediately starts to pull
away, the three-time champ wanting to prevent Jamie becoming
a two-time champ!
- 1623 - Jamie has the
hammer down to try and pull away, Giles looking for a way
past Staring. Dan Stauffer attacking Russell Holland, these
tussles really giving Jamie the chance to get away...
- 1622 - Jamie into the lead
now between turns 9 and 10, Staring second and holds Gilesy
off down the main straight to maintain second place early on
lap two
- 1621 - Staring again gets
a ripper start to lead the field early on, Jamie second,
Shawn third, Holland fourth...
- 1620 - We are getting
ready for a race start in this final Superbike encounter...

- 1602 - Leigh-Smith gets
the lead through turn ten, Moller in the slipstream for the
drag to the line but Leigh-Smith gets it.... Gross takes
third, followed by Galvin, Rigoli, Metcher, Thompson, Scott,
Jackson Leigh-Smith in 9th and Ben Burke rounds out the top
ten
- 1600 - The two just
swapped places again, and then again... Gross is
leading the tight battle over the final spot on the
podium...
- 1559 - Moller now in front
of Leigh-Smith
- 1557 - A heady battle for
the final spot on the podium being waged between Galvin,
Gross and Rigoli with the trio running nose to tail down the
straight with three laps to run
- 1556 - Leigh-Smith and
Moller have broken away a little now to fight for the win
between themselves
- 1555 - 125 Race Three

- 1541 - Jason tried hard
but Jamie kept it together and brought it home again for
another win. A dominant performance from the Yamaha
men and Jeremy Crowe braving it with some nasty hand
injuries to score some good points despite struggling for
fitness. Encouraging form for Holland on the new CBR600RR, a
lot more expected to come from that machine as the season
progresses...
- 1540 - Jason O'Halloran
has a sniff.... The gap to Jamie down to 7-tenths as they
get the last lap board but Jamie will respond....
- 1539 - Greedy just saved a
near major highside in his quest to run down Waters and keep
Holland at bay...
- 1537 - Jamie's quickest
lap thus far in this race was a 34.27, O'Halloran a 34.33,
Crowe 34.57 and Holland the only other man to crack a 34
with a 34.64. That is a very encouraging little statistic
for the Honda men
- 1536 - O'Halloran has the
gap to Jamie down to just under a second now and enjoys a
two second buffer over Crowe. Holland right on Greedy
now
- 1535 - Holland through on
Staring now, has a bit of ground to claw back on Greedy and
Waters to mount a challenge for fourth
- 1534 - The CBR600RRs rode
by Staring and Holland still have plenty of room for
development, running standard headers here this weekend and
remarkably stock, they should have some more go fast bits
before Winton
- 1533 - Something flapping
around on Staring's bike near the throttle, perhaps
something come adrift on his gloves but it is waving about
in the breeze. Holland looking for a way past so he can put
a challenge on Waters and Greedy
- 1531 - Holland right on
the tail of Staring now and tailing that second pack...
Jamie leads O'Halloran by 1.2 seconds who in turn has
managed to stretch a gap of 7-tenths over Crowe. The
second pack is a further seven seconds down on that leading
trio
- 1530 - Luckless Zac Davies
has had to retire again with some sort of drama after
showing some encouraging speed. Better luck for Winton!
- 1529 - Holland up to
seventh now, he has picked up his pace now and might even
catch Staring, Greedy and Waters, he has plenty of time to
do it, I might wager on him getting up to fourth place
by race end if he hasn't toasted his tyres in making his
progress through the pack
- 1527 - Jamie maintaining
his lead at a little over 1.5 seconds while O'Halloran and
Crowe continue their tussle over second place. Waters
leading that second pack from Greedy, Staring and Henderson
- 1526 - Holland has worked
his way up to ninth place from that back of the grid start
- 1525 - Staring has worked
his way closer to that second pack of Greedy, Waters and
Davies but the top three are way ahead now
- 1523 - Waters through on
Davies now. Jamie leads his team-mates by 1.5 seconds
already
- 1522 - Jamie breaking away
from Jason and Jeremy already then it is Davies, Greedy,
Waters, Henderson and Staring
- 1521 - Supersport men away
now, Yamaha 1-2-3 as per normal, Jason, Jamie, Jeremy the
three Js on the three Yamahas up front
- 1520 - Russell Holland
didn't make it out for the formation lap and was put to the
back of the grid for the final Supersport bout

- 1500 - Race was declared
at five of seven laps down so the race has been declared and
half points awarded. That will be a relief to Cartwright as
it means his failure to score points will not hurt as much
as it would have if the podium finishers had scored full
points in that race
- 1458 - McMartin sneaking
away now and looks certain for the win, second place still
to be sorted out though between Kruck and Charlton. Red flag
is out so it will go back to the last lap and the race
declared so I think McMartin will be declared the winner but
not sure who will get the nod for second place
- 1457 - McMartin to the
lead at turn nine and yellow flags around turn 11 and 12 so
the big bikes will have to bide their time before they can
blast past again, and that is a telling fact as this time
McMartin maintains the lead down the main straight. Kruck
goes through on Charlton down the main straight
- 1456 - McMartin briefly
sneaked ahead but the big bike just blew past him down the
main straight and the order again goes back to Charlton,
Kruck, McMartin. But again McMartin up to second up
the inside at turn four
- 1455 - McMartin through on
Kruck up the inside at turn four and immediately stalking
Charlton
- 1453 - McMartin up to
third around the outside of the Benelli at turn eight on his
'little' 749 Ducati. The Benelli goes down, Cartwright
down at turn 12 so the battle for the lead down to three men
left standing now. Charlton, Kruck and McMartin the
protagonists
- 1451 - Charlton away well
in the final Nakedbike / Pro Twin encounter but no luck for
Roe on lap two as the Aprilia man went down. Up front the
battle quickly established itself as four way affair between
Charlton, Kruck, McMartin and Cartwright

- 1439 - The positions
remain the same around the back of the circuit... Cowie
trying hard but almost highsided out of nine which has given
Henry a sniff for second place.... Around turn 11 and 12
they come.... Carr is going to do it..... Carr gets
it, Cowie second, Henry third
- 1438 - Last lap board
comes out this time around and the top three positions still
up for grabs, Carr, Cowie and Henry will battle for the win
all the way to the line
- 1437 - Cowie all over Carr
now and challenging at every turn
- 1436 - Cowie moves past
Henry for second place, the top three breaking away a little
from Reid now with Carr still leading the way
- 1435 - Sciberras got in
too deep while trying to chase down the leading quartet and
ran off into the dirt and goes to the back of the field
- 1434 - Henry right on
Cowie and looking for a way through on the race leader to
make it 3 from 3 this weekend. This year Henry proving he
can do it on a four cylinder in the same fashion he did it
on the 749R Ducati last year
- 1432 - The top four
running tight now, nothing between them now with Carr
leading the way from Henry, Cowie and Reid. Sciberras
trying to chase them down but has around two seconds to make
up if he is going to challenge
- 1431 - Henry up to second
place, Cowie then also through on Reid to take third place.
Carr has a handy buffer and it will be interesting to see if
Henry can chase him down.
- 1429 - Sciberras got an
average start but is working his way forward, up to around
seventh by the closing stages of the opening lap. Reid
touches the dirt on the run onto the main straight which
cost him a few tenths which allows Cowie and Henry to
challenged. Carr leading by a full second by the end of the
first lap, Reid and Henry tussling over second place with
Cowie also in that hunt
- 1428 - Brayden Carr gets
away well in the last Superstock bout from Reid and Henry as
the whole field safely negotiate the first turns in the
opening lap
- 1426 -
Full results from
Superbike Race One - Superstock Race Three will be
underway shortly
- 1415 - Well the official
word is in and Jamie has it by 1.66 seconds on combined time
over Dan who takes second by 4 seconds over Staring then it
is Allerton, Johnson, Fergusson, Charlton, Giles, Maxwell,
Etheridge, Holland, Fraser, Coxhell, Roe, Gobert, Odendaal,
Gurowski, Higgins, Sidwell, Battista, Bugden
- 1402 - Well I have had
time to take stock now... From that race we can deduce
that Gilesy has again smashed too many mirrors or walked
under too many ladders again in the off season... Dan
has a much better handle on the R1 this year and considers
it safe to push, a huge relief after his frustrating year
last year. And Bryan Staring should have made the move
to Superbike a season or two ago... If Shannon gets away
really well he might be chance in the second race...
Allerton is really enjoying his time back on Dunlops... The
timing system has had a bit of a meltdown I suspect so the
official results might still be a little time away. I
suspect some rejigging of the schedule will also be
considered around now as we are a long way behind time
- 1351 - Timing has gone a
bit awry here but I feel safe to call it as Jamie, Dan and
Bryan as the 1-2-3 finishers
- 1349 - Jamie crosses the
line first with Allerton next, followed by Johnson, Dan,
Staring and Giles but on combined time I believe it will be
Jamie from Dan and Bryan Staring rounding out the podium
- 1348 - Bryan's mistake
under brakes has allowed Gilesy to catch on to his tail, I
still think Bryan's podium is safe on combined time...
- 1347 - Allerton still
keeping his nose ahead of Johnson, Dan and Bryan while Jamie
is ahead on his own and safe from attack. Bryan tries a huge
move on Dan up the inside at turn two and nearly took both
of them out with his Fireblade slithering every which way
but up on the way into the corner...
- 1346 - On track it is
Jamie, Allerton, Johnson, Dan, Bryan, Giles but on combined
time I believe it will be Jamie, Dan and Staring in the
podium positions.... Last lap board out shortly...
- 1345 - Jamie is getting
away but on the track Allerton, Johnson, Dan Stauffer and
Staring all nose to tail now. Gilesy not far behind that
pack but well down on combined time.
- 1344 - Jamie getting away
from Allerton, Dan tries a huge move up the inside of
Johnson between turns 11 and 12 but Johnson gives no
quarter! That is the widest Kawasaki on the face of the
planet!
- 1343 - Dan Stauffer having
trouble getting past a very wide ZX-10R piloted by Shannon
Johnson, Staring looking on from just behind that duo.
- 1341 - Dan through on
Staring to take fourth place on track, Jamie leading,
Allerton chasing in second place, Johnson in third and being
hounded by Dan and Bryan.
- 1340 - Dan Stauffer did
not get away well, but Jamie takes his position at the front
but not for long as Shannon Johnson quickly shot to the
front! Allerton in third. Another big off! One
or two Suzukis. One of them is Bugden on the exit of
eight, trying to get his bike back up. Jamie is in the
lead now, Allerton up to second place on the track, Staring
in fourth, Dan right behind him, Staring needs to get a few
seconds in front of Dan to try and take second on combined
time
- 1336 - Riders on their
warm up lap again now, of course all have to start on their
same rubber etc. and none have been allowed back into
pitlane for any changes
- 1334 - Riders getting very
hot on the grid before the restart. I don't think they will
be waiting too long before we get on to a warm up lap and
the restart for the final six laps. We are a long way behind
schedule here at the moment, more than an hour already and
we haven't managed to finish the first Superbike race yet
- 1330 - Russell Holland
benefits from that red flag, he had run off the track and
lost a lot of position but as the order goes back to the lap
previous he will maintain his position
- 1324 - Jamie responds, the
gap back out to 7-tenths. Staring in third place, a
rider is down, conscious but hurt and his bike in a
dangerous position.... There it is, red flag is out.
Race will be run on combined times to make things
interesting. So I believe Jamie will start the second
leg of this now two part race with a 7-tenth of a second
advantage over Dan Stauffer, who in turn has around three
seconds on Staring who in turn has three seconds on Allerton
and Fergusson
- 1323 - Dan has the gap
down to 4-tenths now...
- 1321 - Allerton frying
some Dunlop onto the main straight this time around in his
quest to stay ahead of Krusty, that battle for fifth is now
a battle for fourth after Shawn's mishap. Dan has
pulled a tenth back on Jamie, the gap down to 6-tenths of a
second, Staring a further 1.2 seconds down and running by
himself now, he has more than four seconds on Allerton and
Fergusson. 7 laps to run...
- 1320 - Gilesy runs off the
circuit but remains upright but rejoins the circuit well
down the field, not sure if he just went in too deep at turn
two or whether he got a little shunt. Jamie getting
away, he now leads by 7-tenths from his brother
- 1319 - Dan Stauffer up to
second place now, made his move between turn four and five.
Fergusson charging through that second pack and shaping up
to challenge Allerton for fifth place. The top four covered
by only 7-tenths of a second then it is a further three
seconds back to Allerton in fifth
- 1318 - Adam Fergusson
makes a forceful move up the inside of Holland to move up
the order in that pack. Staring still keeping Dan
Stauffer and Shawn Giles at bay but having to work very hard
for it, starting to run wide a little and I don't think it
will be long before Dan and Shawn put a move on him.
The Honda not slow though! Dan could not slipstream
past him on the straight and he came onto the straight not
far behind the WA youngster
- 1317 - Allerton leads the
large second pack, Holland, Coxhell, Fergusson, Johnson,
Bugden and Etheridge all in that battle while the top four
break away
- 1316 - Still Jamie, Bryan
not letting go but very sideways under brakes, no slipper
clutch on the Fireblades and that doesn't make it easy for
the Honda boys. Dan Stauffer through on Gilesy for
third, fantastic to see Dan back in the hunt for good
results!
- 1315 - Jamie to the lead,
the top four in very close formation. Gilesy sideways into
turn nine
- 1314 - Still Staring early
on lap two, Jamie right behind, then it is Shawn and Dan. A
few bike lengths further back to Holland and Allerton
- 1313 - This is Staring's
first season on a Superbike and to be leading the field
around the first lap will have the Honda crew shouting until
they are hoarse!
- 1312 - Bryan Staring gets
the best run through turn one to take the lead at turn two,
Jamie in behind and a Suzuki, can't tell yet whether it is
Shawn or Craig
- 1311 - Grid nearly fully
formed now...
- 1308 - Superbikes on their
warm up lap now
- 1302 - Superbikes up next.
There could be some surprises... Krusty's good
qualifying lap was wrecked by the red flag caused by the
Stauffer brothers both crashing and a few other riders also
lost their run because of that red flag in the dying
minutes. Coxhell came from nowhere and was pleased to get a
good lap in after struggling to get up to speed earlier in
the weekend as he reprograms his brain to suit the
Production Superbike specification GSX-R1000. Allerton could
throw up a surprise. Russell Holland and Bryan Staring
generated some good pace on the Fireblades to start on the
front row but of course nobody got anywhere near Jamie's
1m31.7. Jamie has gone down twice this weekend though
and no doubt that will be playing on his mind. Dan Stauffer
has shown encouraging form and yesterday was searching for a
better shock set-up and was confident that if they could
nail that he would be right up the front. Shannon Etheridge
the surprise package of qualifying with a second row start,
he will not be accustomed to playing with the big factory
boys up front but could be an outside chance. Michael Fraser
also showing stunning pace to qualify in front of some much
more fancied riders but of course when the flag drops, the
bullshit stops and we will see the real pecking order sort
itself out

- 1128 - Jamie takes first
blood for 2007, Jason second, Jeremy Crowe third to keep the
Yamaha 1-2-3 form going into this new season. The fresh new
CBR600RRs are proving to have good speed despite being in
only the initial stages of development with Staring taking
fourth followed home by Waters, Greedy, Henderson, Jones,
Holland and Kelly rounds out the top ten
- 1127 - Jamie is going to
do it...
- 1126 - As they get the
last lap board the gap between Jamie and Jason down to 0.682
so Jason will have to put in a cracker if he is to challenge
late on this last lap...
- 1125 - Jamie and Jason ran
near identical times on that lap the gap now 0.690 of a
second with two laps to run
- 1124 - Henderson and Jones
now at the head of that battle for seventh place
- 1123 - The gap down to
only 7-tenths now...
- 1121 - That battle over
seventh place still going on in earnest and providing the
best action for the spectators
- 1119 - Jamie and Jason ran
nearly identical times on that last lap so the gap is
maintaining at 1.4 seconds now...
- 1118 - With seven laps to
run the state of affairs is
1 1 Jamie STAUFFER Yamaha R6

- 1116 - Jason O'Halloran
really putting in a big effort to chase down Jamie, the gap
had grown but Jason has it back down to 1.6 seconds now,
will be interesting to see if Jamie responds as there is
still plenty of laps for Jason to close him down
- 1115 - A busy gaggle of
riders tussling over seventh place with Kelly, Henderson,
Jones, Holland and Johnson the protagonists
- 1114 - Staring ahead of
Greedy to take fourth place but he has a big job ahead of
him if he is going to chase down any of the Yamaha men for a
podium
- 1113 - Zac Davies slips
out of the race but is up unhurt
- 1112 - Jamie getting away
now, he leads by 1.4 seconds and in turn O'Halloran has a
full second buffer over Crowe to complete the Yamaha 1-2-3.
Greedy coming under attack from Staring with the Honda men
running fourth and fifth
- 1111 - Waters on the spare
bike in sixth place and fending off challenges from Zac
Davies
- 1110 - Crowe attacking
Greedy, now he goes through so Crowe up to third.
O'Halloran trying to hang on to Jamie and getting well out
of shape in his efforts to do so
- 1109 - Jamie leading the
way from O'Halloran, Greedy and Crowe, Staring not far
behind also as they come around turn nine but Jamie starting
to escape already
- 1108 - And they're off!
The Yamaha men away well, Judd Greedy got away well and in
to third place at turn two
- 1105 - Supersport men on
their warm up lap now
- 1052 - Supersport up next,

to race this year, the Superbikes will be on track for their
first bout around lunchtime

Provisional Results
from Nakedbike / Pro Twins Race 2
- 1043 - McMartin takes the
win, Charlton just holds on to second from Kruck, Cartwright
fourth, Roe fifth. Closest top five in this class for some
time I reckon, hopefully a sign of things to come for the
season
- 1041 - The Benelli
overpowering its rear tyre onto the main straight. Charlton
through on Kruck after Kruck had a sizeable rear end
breakaway out of turn one, so Charlton up to second, 2-3-4-5
still to be decided as that group have really closed up
- 1040 - Paul Roe going well
and not too far behind Cartwright who in turn is still
within striking distance forward to Charlton and Kruck
- 1039 - Charlton has crept
away from Cartwright now and is attacking Kruck, McMartin
has clear air out in front though
- 1036 - McMartin sneaking
away but Charlton and Cartwright having a ding dong battle
over third place while Kruck has a small buffer over that
pair and holding down second place
- 1034 - Scott Charlton got
away well in the Nakedbike / Pro Twins race for the morning
but Roland Kruck soon shot into the lead before then Craig
McMartin made his way past both of them to take the lead and
Jon Cartwright in the mix up front also
