- 1720 - Blake Leigh-Smith
the winner from Glenn Scott by 3.3 seconds. Galvin a
further 7 seconds down in third and Jackson Leigh-Smith put
a huge move on Brent Rigoli at the penultimate turn to steal
fourth place, Metcher sixth, Wilkinson seventh, Burke
eighth, Inkster ninth, Sutherland tenth.
- 1715 - A 28.38 to Blake
Leigh-Smith that time around to break away from Glen Scott.
Galvin and Rigoli being chased hard by young Jackson
Leigh-Smith
- 1713 - Glenn Scott riding
like a demon in this last 125 race... Blake Leigh-Smith
smokes him on the straights but Scott is going absolutely
berserk in the tight sections to take it right up to the
more fancied young Queenslander... Both boys running 29s....
Blake Leigh-Smith trying to do everything he can to get as
far away from Glenn Scott as possible...
- 1704 - Josh Houwen just
completed his domination of the FX Cup events. Fox second in
that one from Greentree, McClue, Knox, McKenzie, Ward,
Moulton, Olson, Stafford, Durling, Mills, Starkey, Shields,
Frost, Gerdsen, Wootton

from Superbike Race Four for the weekend

- Giles 2.92
- D Stauffer 7.23
- Allerton 7.28
- Staring 7.89

- Charlton 15.95
- Bugden 15.96
- Holland 20.30

- Roe 32.8
- Fraser 32.9
- Fergusson 36.77 (after ten
second penalty)
- Battista 65.51
- 1642 - It's Jamie's....
Allerton pushes underneath Staring... Whoah that was
fierce.... Jamie gets the win... Coxhell a great return to
form for second place, Giles third to put two Suzukis on the
podium. Dan Stauffer holds onto fourth and Allerton
steals fifth from Staring, Johnson seventh, Maxwell eighth,
Charlton ninth, Bugden tenth, Holland 11th, Gobert 12th,
Fergusson 13th but will be pushed back further due to a jump
start penalty... Jamie wins the meeting and I believe
Coxhell will take second place overall for the Sunday round
- 1641 - The gap now 1.48
seconds... Last lap though, it will be too much unless Jamie
gets held up by a lapped rider... A huge battle over
fourth unfolding on this last lap with Dan Staffer, Bryan
Staring, Glenn Allerton and Shannon Johnson nose to tail for
this last three kilometres...
- 1640 - Two laps to go...
The gap now... 1.68 seconds... Craig has a sniff but I don't
think he will do it.... Allerton and Johnson have
closed on Dan Stauffer and Bryan Staring who have been
continuing their tussle over fourth place... This could be
one exciting final lap...
- 1638 - Three laps to run
and the gap now is.....1.972.... So the gap has remained
about constant... A 23.0 to both men... Staring still
looking to steal fourth place from Dan Stauffer.
Maxwell must have made a mistake as he has lost seventh
place to Johnson who has now closed on Allerton to a
little.... Jamie just got baulked by a backmarker...
Will it affect the gap.... We will know shortly....
- 1637 - Coxhell catching
Jamie again now... The gap under two seconds now.... Staring
all over Dan Stauffer... Giles looks safe in third though...
- 1636 - Bryan Staring
starting to threaten Dan Stauffer now... Glenn
Allerton has been engaged in a fierce tussle with Wayne
Maxwell over sixth position
- 1635 - Jamie has the
hammer down now, a 22.383 to Coxhell's 22.736, the gap 2.5
seconds. Craig has 1.5 seconds over Giles though who
in turn has 1.4 seconds over Dan Stauffer so at this stage
of the game it is looking likely that we will have two
Suzuki men on the podium in this one...
- 1633 - Jamie replies this
time with a 22.46 to Craig's 22.64 to stretch his buffer
back out to 2.22 seconds...
- 1632 - Jamie's reply....
Giles a second behind Coxhell and now with a full second
over Dan Stauffer who is being caught by a huge gaggle of
riders that includes Staring, Maxwell, Allerton and Johnson,
those four covered by only a second...
- 1631 - Anthony Gobert's
Kawasaki starting to puff plenty of smoke...... The top 10
covered by only 8 seconds.... Anthony Gobert might get a
black flag before his engine really does let go in a big
way...
- 1630 - Coxhell has pulled
away from Giles now, just how much has he clawed back on
Jamie... The gap was 2.584 seconds... Now it is 2.247.... He
is reeling him in a little now... There is 9 laps to run...
- 1629 - Coxhell through on
Giles again, Giles come back up the inside but this
time allows Craig to have a run... Now let's see what
Coxhell can do.... Was Gilesy holding him up? We are
about to find out...
- 1628 - Allerton coming on
strong too, just behind Staring, then it is Maxwell who is
also running well
- 1627 - Shannon Johnson
just ran across the grass and lost a heap of positions...
Jamie cracking out 22s, he leads by 1.8 seconds now,
Coxhell still right behind Giles, Dan there also... Bryan
Staring not much further back...
- 1626 - Holland was running
fifth position but just lost a heap of positions and will be
pushed back to nearly tenth...
- 1625 - A 22.864 to Jamie
this time.. Leads by 1.37 seconds over Giles, Coxhell trying
to get past his teammate.. Dan right on their tail and
watching from a safe distance and ready to pounce should
they make a mistake or trip each other up....
- 1624 - To add insult to
injury Adam Fergusson's pain from running on at turn one has
been amplified by a ten second jump start penalty, currently
in 13th place behind Anthony Gobert...
- 1623 - Shannon Johnson in
seventh position but the fastest man on the track! A 23.549
to the Kawasaki man as he hounds Staring. Coxhell
through on Giles... They swap back again... This has allowed
Jamie to get away a little... 22.723 to Jamie.
- 1622 - Jamie takes the
lead into turn one, thought it might all end in tears as
Giles did not want to give up that position... He is going
to put it on the line in this one...
- 1621 - Jamie all over
Giles, Coxhell right up the Yamaha's clacker in a supporting
role, Dan in fourth so it is
Suzuki-Yamaha-Suzuki-Yamaha-Honda-Honda-Kawasaki
- 1620 - Still Giles from
Jamie, Coxhell still ahead of Dan, Holland, Staring,
Johnson, Charlton, Allerton, Maxwell, Gobert
- 1619 - Shawn Giles and
Jamie Stauffer away well, Shawn with his nose in front when
they come out the other side, Coxhell third, Dan Stauffer
fourth. Krusty ran in too deep at turn one and is well
down the back of the field...

Cup race up next
- 1539 - O'Halloran takes a
convincing win with a 23.862 on the final lap. He wins
by 2.87 seconds over Crowe who in turn had 1.7 on Waters,
Jamie Stauffer fourth then it was Holland, Staring, Seaton,
Jones, Smith, Johnson, Maxwell, Greedy, Kelly, Davies, Hay,
Andrews, Casella, Goldsmith. A new lap record to Jason
O'Halloran, a 1m23.465
- 1538 - Last lap board now
and O'Halloran leads by 2.7 seconds, Waters 8-tenths further
behind, Stauffer seven seconds behind the Suzuki man who in
turn has two seconds on Holland, Staring in sixth, Jones
seventh, Seaton eighth
- 1536 - Waters has been
badly held up by a backmarker now, that will make second
place safe for Crowe... The Suzuki man certainly fared worst
in the traffic that lap around...
- 1534 - O'Halloran has
backed it off a little now, three laps to run, the leaders
all having backmarkers to contest with now...
- 1532 - Famous last words..
Just as I said the Suzuki is hooking up better it again
starts to grip and slip as Waters puts the power down...
O'Halloran has run away with it now however, he leads by 3.2
seconds and still continues to crack out 23s while the
others have drifted back into the 24s. Jamie doesn't look as
though he is going to be able to get into a position to
challenge for a podium in this one
- 1530 - O'Halloran leads by
2.3 seconds now, Waters trying to get Crowe but even when he
gets on the power earlier than the Yamaha man he can't match
it when upright, it really looks to be handling beautifully
now however, hooking up much better than this morning and
yesterday
- 1529 - A 23 to all the top
three, Crowe looks to have a power advantage over Waters, if
the Suzuki man is going to make that second place his he is
going to have to put it all on the line and force his way
through as it certainly looks as though he won't be getting
an invitation!
- 1528 - Waters is on Crowe
but Winton not an easy circuit to pass on, this will help
Jason, he leads now by 1.7 seconds, the top trio still
cracking out 23 after 23
- 1527 - Waters right on
Crowe now! Jamie can't match them here today! A lot of
racing under his belt though and a tiring weekend with two
rounds across both the Supersport and Superbike classes
perhaps taking its toll on the double champ.
- 1526 - Jason under the lap
record yet again, now a 23.465 to make his lead now a full
second, a 23.875 to Crowe but a brilliant 23.483 to Waters,
the Suzuki man might yet make the lap record his!
- 1525 - Jason sets a new
lap record again, a 23.630, Crowe again right with him
and put in a 23.635, only 5-thousandths between them!!!
Incredible stuff... Waters and Jamie also on this mornings
lap record pace, a 23.878 to Waters on that last lap and a
23.838 to Jamie, this quartet head and shoulders above the
rest this afternoon...
- 1524 - Crowe slowly
pulling away from Waters now, only 6-tenths between them but
he has Jamie Stauffer 1.4 seconds behind him and eager to
make it another Yamaha 1-2-3
- 1523 - Jamie is through on
Holland now, Crowe really trying to chase down O'Halloran
and just put in a 23.770 to nearly beat the lap record that
Jason set on the lap before...
- 1521 - There it is, Jason
sets a new lap record, 23.735 to the youngster, he now leads
by 0.750 of a second, Waters not far behind Crowe and nearly
a full second further back is Holland who is being hassled
by Jamie Stauffer
- 1520 - O'Halloran leads by
half a second over Crowe, same gap back to third placed
Waters. O'Halloran only a tenth off the lap record...
New rubber in this one so they might crack out a new
record...
- 1519 - 23.9 to O'Halloran
that time around, he leads by 0.452 now from Crowe who has a
bike length or two on Waters, similar gaps to Holland and
then Stauffer.
- 1518 - 7-tenths of a
second cover the top four..
- 1517 - O'Halloran to the
lead now after putting in a 24.25, Waters right on Crowe and
trying to challenge for third...
- 1516 - A few changes as
been made to the suspension of the Suzuki for this race so
Waters might be able to stick with the Yamaha men this time
around... Crowe leads from O'Halloran still, Waters third,
Holland fourth then it was Jamie Stauffer, Staring, Seaton
and Sam Smith
- 1515 - Supersports away
now and it Crowe in the lead from O'Halloran, Waters and
Holland.
- 1503 - Supersport up next
- 1500 - McMartin wins on
the track but will get third after that penalty, Charlton
the winner, Cartwright second, Kruck fourth, Roe fifth,
Odendaal sixth
- 1459 - Ten second jump
start penalty to McMartin! So even though he will get
the flag first Charlton will get the win, Cartwright second
but even with the penalty McMartin will still get third
- 1458 - Last lap board now
and McMartin leads Charlton by 1.4 seconds who in turn has
6-tenths on Cartwright. First Forgotten Era is Karl
Corpe, I fear Robbie Phillis' machine problem from this
morning may have been terminal...
- 1456 - Cartwright closes
on Charlton, Scotty may be carrying some injury from that
nasty get off in Superbike earlier in the day... McMartin
getting away..
- 1455 - Only half a second
covers the leading duo, Cartwright struggling to try and
stay in touch.. Kruck a further ten seconds behind in fourth
- 1453 - McMartin to the
lead!
- 1451 - McMartin and
Cartwright tussling hard over second place
- 1450 - Final
Naked/Twin/Forgotten Era bout underway now and Scott
Charlton got the holeshot once again
- 1441 - Hern takes the win
by 1.32 seconds over Henry and Carr gets third, Riddle
fourth followed by Cowie, Nicholson, Darby, Bonthorne,
Yates, Roche, Reid, Durie, Keevers, Scott, Wootton,
Middleton, Adam, Chapman, Madigan, Griffin, Anset, Harding
- 1439 - Last lap board out
now, Hern looking safe for the win, Henry has to make up
1.36 seconds on the final lap and he isn't going to do that
unless Hern makes a big mistake, third place far from
decided however with Carr, Cowie and Riddle all in that hunt
- 1437 - Hern the clear
leader now, Henry finally got Carr and is trying to chase
Hern down but the Yamaha man has a 1.4 second lead with two
laps to run
- 1435 - Hern into the lead
at the esses, Henry challenging Carr now, Cowie still in the
hunt also
- 1433 - Hern up to second
and challenging Carr, Henry up to third ahead of Cowie
- 1431 - Carr into the lead
now from Cowie, Hern in third and Henry in fourth then a bit
further back is Riddle in fifth
- 1430 - Tim Cowie the early
leading in the final Superstock race of the weekend from
Brayden Carr

- 1359 - Dan gets baulked by
a backmarker, that will decide it, think it might have been
Jamie's anyway but Dan was robbed of his chance of taking it
to him all the way to the flag, it will be another
Yamaha 1-2 though and Coxhell will get third unless Giles or
Allerton can spring a last turn surprise on him....
- 1358 - Jamie and Dan
negotiating backmarkers now but without incident thus far..
Coxhell in third place nearly seven seconds down with a
small buffer over Giles and Allerton.... Last lap now...
- 1357 - Jamie has managed
to pull a couple of bike lengths on Dan now.. Can Dan come
back at him...Two laps to run...
- 1356 - Fergusson ahead of
Bugden for ninth place, Gobert then gets Bugden to
move up to tenth...
- 1355 - Dan made a small
error under brakes on the penultimate corner with three laps
to run and it allowed Jamie to get the run on him, the two
swap positions, and then again, and then again, Jamie in
front now, Dan not giving up... Anybody would think this is
last lap desperation but there are three to run!!!
- 1353 - Maxwell through on
Staring to take seventh place, Bugden has lost touch with
that pair but still has a useful buffer over Fergusson who
in turn is in danger of being closed down by Anthony Gobert
- 1352 - Coxhell running
third, Giles right behind him as is Allerton, Johnson
closing in on that trio also to turn it into a quartet...
- 1350 - Staring has got
Bugden, Maxwell through also.. So Staring up seventh... Dan
had gone back to the lead and managed to stay there for
nearly a complete lap in a major tussle, the Yamaha camp
will be biting their nails in fear that the brothers end up
taking each other out....
- 1349 - Eight laps to run
Jamie right on Dan's tail.. They have slackened their pace a
little to high 22s but they are the only men running that
pace. Jamie in front now, Jamie to the lead. Staring
rubbing fairings with Bugden over sixth...
- 1348 - Some good tussles
unfolding all the way down the field, Jamie versus
Dan, Giles v Coxhell v Allerton, Johnson on his own
but then another tussle with Bugden v Staring v Maxwell
- 1347 - The Yamaha men are
in their own race out in front and will not be challenged...
The final podium spot is shaping up as a battle of titanic
proportions with Giles, Coxhell and Allerton running nose to
tail.
- 1346 - Krusty just ran on
but will regain the track without losing too much position
- 1345 - Reckon yesterdays
lap record might be about to be toppled....
- 1344 - Dan has managed to
break the two of Jamie now.... But Jamie responds on the
next lap with a 22.300 to prevent his brother escaping,
2-tenths the difference... Coxhell and Allerton right on
Giles now and battle about to commence
- 1343 - Stauffer and
Stauffer continuing to pull away, Coxhell and Allerton
closing on third placed Giles.
- 1342 - Johnson gets
Holland, the Kawasaki man into sixth place now. Bugden in
eighth, Staring ninth, Fergusson 10th and having a huge
tussle with Wayne Maxwell
- 1341 - Shannon Johnson
looking for a way past Russell Holland who is running sixth.
Jamie right on Dan's tail as the two men crack out high 22s.
Giles now 1.1 seconds behind the Yamaha duo and Coxhell half
a second further behind, Allerton fifth
- 1340 - Dan and Jamie nose
to tail, rider into the airfence...Not sure who... Gurowski
I think, hopefully that can be cleared and we don't have to
have another red flag
- 1339 - Jamie up to
third... Dan pushes his way past Gilesy in an aggressive but
fair move, he pushed Gilesy wide which allowed Jamie to go
through also as Shawn was forced to pick his Suzuki up off
the race line... Coxhell takes fourth place off Holland,
Allerton in that mix also..
- 1338 - Ready for a restart
now...Away they go!! Gilesy shoots off the line well once
again and leads the field through turn one with Holland
followed by the Stauffer brothers then it's Coxhell, Staring
and the two Kawasaki men followed by Adam Fergusson. Dan
through on Jamie in the tight back section and immediately
closes on the back of Holland and Giles. They cross the
stripe and Giles leads from Hollad, Dan Stauffer, Jamie
Stauffer, Coxhell, Allerton, Staring, Johnson, Maxwell and
Fergusson rounds out the top ten. Dan takes second place on
Holland in the same place as he took Jamie on the opening
lap.
- 1324 - Giles, Holland, Dan
Stauffer third, Scott Charlton down at turn one, red flag.
Looks as though Charlton might be stuck under the bike...
Red Flag is out. Racesafe is there, Charlton crawling
out from under the bike now...
- 1323 - Dan Stauffer nearly
t-boned Holland while trying to make a move but pulled out
at the last second saving disaster, Jamie through on
Coxhell. Maximum aggression already... Staring ran off the
circuit and is rejoining at the back of the field....
- 1322 - Superbikes are
away! Shawn Giles leads Russell Holland through turn
one, Dan Stauffer third then it is Coxhell, Jamie Stauffer
and a Kawasaki
- 1252 - FX Cup next and
then the Superbikes!
- 1246 - Houwen takes a
clear win, Greentree second, Fox third, McClue fourth then
it was Knox, Ward, McKenzie, Durling, Moulton, Stafford,
Mills, Shields, Olson, Frost, Gerdsen and Wootton.
Starkey crashed out with two laps to run
- 1244 - Houwen in a
different race, leads by 6.2 seconds over Greentree who is
tussling over second place with Ewan McClue and Jack Fox.
- 1237 - Josh Houwen doing
the running in this FZ Cup race once again.. Leads Jack Fox
by two seconds already, McClue in third ahead of Greentree,
Knox, Ward, McKenzie, Moulton, Mills, Durling, Olson,
Stafford, Shields, Frost, Gerdsen, Starkey and Ken Wootton

- 1200 - 125s up next.
Both Jamie and Jason were on used tyres in that Supersport
bout so expect the lap record to go again this afternoon
when they have new Dunlops slotter in the rear. Jamie's tyre
was in better condition that Jamie's at the end of the race.
All riders running the new Ohlins TTX shocks they used for
the first time in the World Superbike support races and now
really starting to get them dialled in. Josh Waters
looks to be struggling with the rear of the Suzuki, the
Honda looks fairly well balanced but the boys on their
Pirellis aren't in a position yet to really take it to the
Yamaha boys over the race distance but if Waters can get his
spring/shock sorted I think he might be able to spring (sic)
a surprise on them if things go his way, he is certainly a
demon off the line!
- 1145 - Supersport Points -
O'Halloran now leads the Supersport Championship on 115
points to Jamie on 111, Crowe 88, Waters 83, Staring 82,
Holland 73
- 1143 - Supersport Race
Results (Provisional)
- O'Halloran
- Stauffer 0.176
- Crowe 0.717
- Staring 1.499
- Waters 2.338
- Holland 18.58
- Seaton 22.36
- Smith 29.41
- Kelly 31.67
- Trounson 31.95
- Greedy 32.34
- Jones 34.09
- Maxwell 44.71
- Davies 53.187
- Hay 54.78
- Andrews 54.98
- 1142 - The winning machine
will be a Yamaha, that at least is settled.... And it
will be Jason.... Yes Jason has done it, Jamie up his pipe
but can't do it, Crowe third, Staring fourth, Waters
fifth.
- 1141 - Jason up the inside
at Jamie on the penultimate corner of the penultimate
lap.... Jason the leader as they start the final lap...
Crowe less than a second behind them and with a couple of
bike lengths on Staring now who in turn has a couple of bike
lengths on Waters....
- 1139 - Crowe and Staring
closing on the leading duo now... Three laps to run and this
could be a hell of a finale...
- 1138 - Waters coming back
up to Staring and Crowe now...
- 1137 - Yellow flag at the
sweeper so no passing to be done there... Jamie and Jason
nose to tail and 1.7 seconds ahead of Crowe who in turn has
Staring right up his clacker...
- 1136 - Waters starting to
lose touch a little now on Staring and Crowe
- 1135 - The trio fighting
over third now lapping marginally quicker than the leading
duo but they are two seconds behind the leading duo with six
laps to run
- 1132 - Staring nearly
parked it under Crowe then but had to pull out of the move
or they were both going to end up on their leathers... Jamie
and Jason still nose to tail.... Holland challenging
Seaton for sixth place but they are a fair way behind the
triumvirate tussling over third place...
- 1129 - O'Halloran right on
Jamie's tail, a 23.975 on that last lap to Jason, Jamie a
tenth or so slower... Nothing separates that duo...
Crowe, Staring and Waters haggling hard over third...
Shaping up for an exciting last couple of laps but we still
are not near that.... Nine laps still to run at this stage
as we approach the halfway point...
- 1128 - O'Halloran staying
with Jamie though and it's not over yet... Seaton starting
to lose touch a little with Crowe, Waters and Staring...
Holland a couple of seconds further behind with 8 seconds
over eighth placed Sam Smith, the Kiwi taking a liking to
the tight Winton circuit
- 1126 - Jamie into the 23s
now, a 23.908 and Jamie is in the lead now. He backs
up that 23.9 with a 23.843 and the leading duo now have 1.5
seconds on Crowe who has Staring, Waters and Seaton right on
his tail now...11 laps to run... New lap record to
Jamie that 23.843
- 1125 - I missed O'Halloran
getting the better of Crowe but he has, O'Halloran the race
leader, Jamie Stauffer up to second place now and hassling
O'Halloran, Crowe in third place and falling back into
the clutches of Staring, Waters and Seaton...
- 1124 - Jamie Stauffer
passes Staring, right on O'Halloran and Crowe now... Waters
hassling Staring now, Seaton right behind them and running
strong
- 1123 - O'Halloran back
under Staring at the penultimate turn and their tussle
playing into the hands of Crowe but nothing separates the
top four, well less than half a second anyway, the order
Crowe, O'Halloran, Staring and Stauffer, Waters a few bike
lengths further behind in fifth, Seaton strong just behind
him. Jamie Stauffer quickest man on the track and
looking to go forward...
- 1122 - Staring looking
more aggressive today, a bit like we saw him at the World
Superbike support races while he was a bit soft yesterday...
- 1121 - Bryan Staring puts
a block pass on O'Halloran as the WA man parked his Honda
underneath the Yamaha in the tight right hander after the
old start-finish line...
- 1120 - Crowe gets the
holeshot again this time around and leads them through turn
one, O'Halloran second, Staring third, Josh Waters fourth
and then it is Jamie Stauffer in fifth ahead of Seaton,
Maxwell and Holland
- 1116 - Riders off on
another warm up lap now... Shannon Johnson was in pitlane
and hoping to head out on the warm up lap but he has not
been allowed out of pitlane
- 1109 - Wayne Maxwell is
running back across the paddock to try and get back to
pitlane, not the perfect way to have your morning run, he
fell or had a machine problem around the back of the circuit
and is trying to get back in time to get on a spare machine
- 1108 - Riders came round
and formed up on the grid but Shannon Johnson returned to
pitlane and entered his pit garage, a problem with his
machine perhaps
- 1106 - Crowe leads them
away but a couple of riders down at the esses, hopefully it
can be cleared... No.... Red flag out, two red flags out of
three races thus far this morning and Crowe will be upset at
finally getting a holeshot only to have that voided by the
red flag
- 1105 - Getting ready for a
Supersport race start...
- 1049 - Robbie Phillis out
of the race with machinery dramas on his nearly three decade
old Suzuki. Charlton a convincing winner, Cartwright second
by only a couple of bike lengths over McMartin, Kruck fourth
then it was Roe, Odendaal, Houwen, Buxton, Sutton, Corpe,
Wolfenden, Webster, Johnston. Supersport up next!
- 1048 - Robbie Phillis
might have some machinery problems
- 1047 - McMartin all over
Cartwright in the tight sections but once he hits the
straights he just pulls away from the Ducati hand over fist,
that FZ-1 obscenely fast in a straight line
- 1046 - McMartin closing on
Cartwright but Charlton has the win in the bag if he makes
no mistakes
- 1045 - Adrian Pierpoint
has crashed at turn 11 but walked away unscathed
- 1044 - Josh Houwen on the
FZ6 doing very well to be running seventh overall just ahead
of Phillips and within striking distance of Odendaal on the
1130 Benelli
- 1043 - Cartwright a 26.026
now, but Charlton only a tenth slower so Cartwright will
need to do better to challenge for the win, this pair have
left McMartin behind, Kruck a further 3 seconds behind
McMartin, Roe fifth
- 1042 - Charlton leads
Cartwright by 1.2 seconds and the pair running identical
times but Cartwright will have the hammer down to try and
chase him down.. Phillis the leading Forgotton Era bike and
eighth overall, circulating around four seconds a lap slower
than the front running current model FZ1 Yamahas
- 1041 - Roly Kruck doing a
better job today and not that far behind McMartin
- 1039 - Cartwright putting
pressure on McMartin, he has a huge power advantage over the
Ducati. Scott Charlton out in front still though and said to
be running a standard engine this weekend. Cartwright in
front of Martin now and chasing Charlton but he has some
ground to make up...
- 1038 -
Nakedbikes/Twins/Forgotten Era mismatch of machinery on
track now for their first race of the morning, Charlton away
best with McMartin right on his tail.
- 1030 - Cowie now the new
series leader with 114 points to Henry's 107, Carr on 106,
Reid on 97 and Hern on 94. A costly morning for some
of the front runners with machinery problems costing them a
lot of points
- 1026 - Cowie takes a
convincing victory in what was a race of attrition. Carr
second a huge 8.3 seconds down on Cowie while Michael Riddle
scores a podium, next home was Des Darby on fourth followed
by Reid, Nicholson, Scott, Keevers, Bonthorne, Middleton,
Chapman, Adams, Madigan, Anset, Wootton, Harding
- 1023 - Cowie has this one
in the bag unless Carr can really up the ante but Cowie
still the fastest man, a 28.993 on the previous lap and Carr
could only come back with a 29.44, the difference between
the duo out to over three seconds now
- 1021 - Ben Henry has
dramas also, his Suzuki has let him down also. This
could be a race of attrition... Scott Yates also dramas and
rolling to a stop out of fifth place...! This is
unbelievable, modern motorcycles, especially supposedly
'stock' ones hardly ever fail!
- 1020 - Charles Hern sits
up and turns around to look down at his Yamaha, something
has come adrift or the fire has gone out but his race is run
so the new race leader is Tim Cowie, he leads by 1.5 seconds
over Carr who in turn has just stretched his buffer over
Henry out to 2.1 seconds. Cowie the fastest man on the track
that last lap with a 29.072
- 1018 - Matthew Griffin
just outbraked himself while running in seventh place and
lost a few places as a result. Henry is going to have his
work cut out for him if he is to get a podium in this bout,
he is running fourth but has 1.5 seconds to catch up to
third placed Carr and they were both put in identical
1m29.7s on that last lap so Henry making no headway into the
gap as yet
- 1017 - Ben Henry ran off
the track, he did manage to rejoin but lost a lot of ground
on the leading trio, nearly 3 seconds in fact the loss to
the WA rider. Hern leading by half a second over Cowie and
Brayden Carr not able to match their pace and losing touch
with that duo. Cowie chasing Hern hard
- 1016 - Hern put in a great
opening lap to stretch out a lead of nearly half a second
over Cowie who in turn had a few tenths on Carr who had Ben
Henry on his tail, Yates 5th, Riddle 6th.
- 1015 - Superstock Race
away again now and it is Charles Hern that leads them
through turn one ahead of Cowie and Carr while Ben Henry
again fails to get a great run off the line.
- 1015 - Supersport Warm Up

- 1010 - A stark contrast
greeted competitors this morning with not a cloud in the sky
and an ambient temperature already on a sharp rise. All the
warm up sessions have been completed. We did get off to a
start with the first race of the day but a red flag on the
first lap is causing us a small delay while things are
cleared up but we are not far away from a restart now
