- 1246 - Guest the winner, Phillis second
and Corpe third. Next best was Webster, Britton, Stack,
Tehennepe, Fyffe, Marriner, Higgs, Patterson, Mackne, Cook,
Ditchburn, Wallace, Elliott, Scanlon, Crutchley, Potter,
Carter, Baird, Hudson, Ross, Grant, Walsh, Smith
- 1245 - Guest not backing off... A 44.28
on the penultimate lap to the Kawasaki man, Phillis 1.9
seconds adrift of Guest but has half a second on Corpe as
they start the last lap...
- 1244 - Guest the leader and has a second
on Corpe and Phillis. At Siberia Phillis sneaks it up
the inside of Corpe for second place in a very nice move
after Corpe left the door wide open...
- 1243 - 44.6 by Guest on that previous
lap, a 44.8 to Corpe and a 45.3 to Phillis... This time
around the #34 machine of Guest again holding sway at the
front and actually looking to be breaking away from Corpe
now and Phillis slipstreams Corpe onto the chute as a
great battle for second place starts to unfold...Two laps to
run..
- 1242 - Guest shakes off the advances of
Corpe at MG and Guest gets a good run onto the main straight
but Corpe's weapon hunts him down later on down the
straight... Guest still with the advantage around Southern
Loop... Phillis back on them now too...
- 1241 - The Kawasakis quick down the chute
and they close onto the tail of Phillis. Karl Corpe's Z1
looking especially powerful... Phillis runs wide at turn
four, Corpe through to the lead, Corpe then runs a little
wide on the exit which allows Guest to sneak past both of
them to take the lead...
- 1240 - Phillis, Corpe and Guest the guys
up front in this Period 4/5 encounter and the trio already
starting to break away. Phillips with the advantage on the
Suzuki while Kawasaki men Guest and Corpe bang bars around
Lukey Heights and get stuck into each other around MG...
