--  2013 Yamaha AORC: ready and waiting

The 2013 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) is shaping up to be another bumper series, with twelve rounds scheduled to explode across four Australian states from March to September.

The Championship will once again enjoy the valued support of Yamaha Motor Australia, with the manufacturer remaining on board as the official naming rights sponsor for another season.

“Yamaha has been a long-standing supporter of the Australian Off-Road Championship and we are thrilled to be supporting the series again in 2013,” said Yamaha Motor Australia’s Motorsport Manager Ray Howard.

“The AORC gives new and experienced riders an unparalleled opportunity to ride and compete at a national level, and gives fans from different states the chance to experience the sport first-hand.

“The Championship is vital to the ongoing growth and development of off-road motorcycle sport in Australia – Yamaha is excited to be a part of that.”

The 2013 Yamaha AORC will get underway in Bulahdelah, NSW on 16-17 March with a Cross Country/Sprint before heading to Goomburra, QLD on 6-7 April (Enduro) and Corner Inlet, VIC on 25-26 May (Cross Country/Sprint).

The AORC caravan will then head across the country to Coonawarra in South Australia on 29-30 June (Sprint/Sprint), before travelling to Bendigo, VIC on 17-18 August (Cross Country/Sprint) and then on to Dungog, NSW on 7-8 September (Cross Country/Sprint) for the series finale.

The 2013 series will carry on the successful National/State combination format used for the past two years, with all 12 Australian rounds to be run in conjunction with State Championship events.

Supplementary Regulations for the series and Entry Forms for the Bulahdelah Rounds are now available to download at www.ma.org.au/aorc. Entries for the opening weekend close on Friday 15 March 2013.
