--  Hartwell 2013 season starts this weekend at Broadford The 2013 Hartwell Motorcycle Club Championships is about to commence with their first round at the State Motorcycling Sports Complex, Broadford, on the 9 – 10th February. With over 130 entries it is expected to be a great season opener. Most notably the new Permanent SuperMoto track will have its first use, and with 19 SuperMoto competitors, a field with the likes of; 2012 South Australian SuperMoto S1 champion Mark Pausler, 2012 VRRC SuperMoto S1 class top 3 place getters, Bruce Hill, Joern Buelter & Marty Duke and 2012 Hartwell SuperMoto top 3 place getters Garry Arbrew, James Dyer & Adam Nicolson the racing is guaranteed to be some of the closest all year. 2012 VRRC Superstock 600 winner James Patrick is set to make a return to the Hartwell Championships as a favourite stepping up to the 600 Non-Expert class, after a near perfect season in winning the 2012 Hartwell 600 Novice Championship by over 100 points clear of closest rival Chris Watt followed by Terry Dixon, being the only rider to beat Patrick in a race during the entire 2012 championship. 2012 MRRDA 70cc Junior Champion Jacob Street and Twin Sister Tayla Street, have both made the move to the 80cc Junior Class, and will ensure the sibling rivalry is strong all season after Tayla narrowly edged out her Brother by 9 points to win the 2012 Hartwell Junior 70cc Class.
