For model year 2002, all
Dynas receive a new wider rear tyre (a 150mm wide Dunlop D401).
Previously, only the FXDX was equipped with a tyre this wide, but now the
entire family sports wider look to the entire family.
All Dynas also receive neat bullet-style indicators that were first introduced in 2000 on the FXSTD and last season found aboard the FXDX and the FXDXT. Also standard ‘02 is a new fuel shut-off valve which has a more tactile feel between the on and off setting. Additionally, all Dynas feature realigned passenger foot pegs for increased pillion comfort. At the heart of the Dyna Glide family, the vibration-isolated 1450cc Twin Cam 88 engine delivers the muscular torque and performance of the Harley-Davidson experience. The FXDL Dyna Low Rider is designed to appeal to motorcyclists looking for an exceptionally low custom look. Its low seat height, standard foot controls, pull-back riser handlebars and low center of gravity makes it a great choice for people of many sizes. The new longer side stand tab allows for easier parking, while the new fuel tank trim strip improves quality and styling. Introduced in 1999, the FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport has succeeded in offering an alternative viewpoint of custom motorcycling by providing a performance cruiser that is both great looking and exhilarating to ride. Featuring a fully adjustable front and rear suspension and a blacked-out engine, the Dyna Super Glide Sport receives a new fuel tank trim strip. Appealing to customers that have a strong desire to hit the open road quickly and nimbly, the FXDXT Dyna Super Glide T-Sport serves up adjustable wind protection to divert blasts from the rider’s chest, while the detachable and expandable bags and touring seat provide storage and comfort respectively for frequent journeys. The Dyna Super Glide T-Sport also receives a new fuel tank trim strip for 2002. As an entry into the Harley-Davidson Big Twin equipped bikes, the FXD Super Glide provides value, traditional custom styling and a sporty feel. For 2002, the Super Glide receives a new fuel tank trim strip. FXD Dyna Super Glide
