Honda XR 250L
Dec 4th, 2001

While the more competition biased XR250R remains in the range Honda Australia has now added an electric start version.

Suspension is lightly softer than the 'R' model although the 'L' version still has 43mm Showa cartridge forks and the Pro-Link single shock rear suspension. A lower seat height is great news for the shorter of our species.

The electric start 250L engine is essentially the same as the robust normal RFVC 250R engine but with the addition of a starter motor.

Disc brakes are fitted front and rear and the 250 also offers a new digital display housing the speedo, tripmeters and clock. Fuel range should be reasonable with a 9.7 litre tank.

The machine weighs in at 128 kilograms dry and retails for $7,990 + on road costs.
