A completely new 249.8cc single cylinder with 4-valves per cylinder provides the motivation.  It is a short stroke motor at 52.2mm, the bore measures 78mm.  Fuel injection will not appear on the new machine, fuel will be delivered by a 37mm flat-slide carb'.

47mm Showa upside-down forks offer 315mm of travel and combine with a new shock from the same company.

Honda is not claiming a dry weight for the new machine yet, expect it to be as light as anything else on the market.  But don't expect to see it on showroom floors until late next year.

Also on the cards is an electric start version that offers similar performance.
