The four-stroke KTM 450 SX gets a single header pipe for 2004 like most of its four-stroke brethren along with new fork settings.

A redesigned clutch and stronger valve springs also feature on the 2004 machine.

New fork settings and new Renthal handlebars and grips combined with an easier clutch to make the rider comfortable.

New robot welded frame parts in the swingarm bearing and footrests and a new rear section. The swingarm pivot is claimed to be more stable.

Also new is the exhaust and silencer. The air filter support is new and features new stickers both there and on the rear guard.

Also new is a tripmaster switch and number plate carrier.
