The Honda Riders Club of Australia (HRCA) recently marked a major milestone by naming their 100,000th member to join the Club since its inception in 1993.

Twenty year old Melbourne resident Robert Ball proudly displayed his brand new tri-coloured CBR600RR during a visit to his home by Honda Australia’s General Manager, Motorcycles, Tony Hinton and HRCA’s Rob Watson who were thrilled to present the young rider with a bevy of prizes.

Robert’s prize pack includes a set of Joe Rocket leathers, a Shoei helmet and as many free HRCA ride days as he can fit in for the next twelve months.

“This is unreal,” the full-time baker said. “I have been wanting to do track days for so long, but haven’t been able to for various reasons. You can be sure I’ll have my CBR600RR down there in the new year.”

Robert will also receive two tickets to the Honda corporate hospitality area at the 2006 Phillip Island World Supers in March, and the chance to meet some of his personal racing heroes.

As a mad Honda fan, Robert showed off his lovingly restored project bike to his guests - a 1998 Honda CBR250, and explained that his passion for two wheels started with motocross four years ago and quickly turned to road riding.

He has been honing his skills over the past few years, and is now looking forward to learning from other experienced riders.

“Robert is the perfect candidate for the 100,000th member prize pack as far as we’re concerned,” said Watson. “He’s so passionate about his bikes and Honda’s in particular and is really looking forward to being involved with the Club.”
The company formed the HRCA in order to enhance long-term customer satisfaction well beyond the showroom floor, and all purchasers of new Honda motorcycles are given their first twelve months of club membership free of charge.

Honda considers HRCA to be the finest fully factory-backed Australian-based club of its type that offers a variety of benefits to its members.

In addition to organised road and off road rides including mini bike days, rallies and access to the demo fleet, the Club offers special discounts on such items as car and truck rentals, accommodation and travel, insurance and dozens of other benefits and privileges that are constantly being upgraded and developed.

HRCA is open to all owners of Honda motorcycles including machines of any vintage, style, type or condition.

Members also receive the HRCA magazine 'Red Rider' to keep them up to date on events and news specifically of interest to Honda riders.

The Club also now offers specialised services to members including:

· Honda Rider Assist - National roadside assistance. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

· HRCA Motorcycle Insurance - tailored for HRCA members

· Track Ride days - where members and their guests can ride in controlled conditions and test ride the latest Honda models

· Corporate hospitality at major events

· Overseas trips

· HRCA merchandise

· Off road and mini bike events
