-- Snowsill and Hughes to race for BC Performance Corey Snowsill returns from European competition to contest the Australian FX Superbike championship alongside Joel Hughes in the new look BC Performance by Bikesconnect race team. After a successful debut at the final round of the 2012 FX Superbike championship the BC Performance by Bikesconnect team are returning to the championship in 2013 with 17 year old Corey Snowsill and Joel Hughes returning for a second season on a pair of Kawasaki ZX10R’s. Team Manager Kelvin Reilly “I am proud to be able to announce my team line up of Corey and Joel, Corey is back from a season in European competition and Joel is returning to the team for a full season of racing in what I think will be the most competitive Superbike class in Australia, both will have our full support and I look forward to some good results” The new teammates will start their campaign at Sydney Motorsport Park over the weekend of March 1st-3rd and are both equally excited about the coming season. Corey who raced overseas in the European Superstock 600 championship last year hopes the experience he gained will put him in a good position for 2013 “I’m pumped to be riding for the BC Performance team, I’m sure it will be a tough campaign with the likes of Curtain and Parkes amongst a competitive grid of quality riders and also having not ridden a 1000cc machine for well over year but I hope the experience I learnt in Europe and the BC Performance team will help me get near the pointy end!” After missing 2 seasons of racing due to injuries and lack of sponsors, Caringbah resident Joel made a successful debut aboard the ZX10R at the final round of FX Superbikes at Sydney Motorsport Park last year and adds.” I am looking forward to getting stuck back in, the final race last season went pretty well and am looking to build on that and get solid top 10 results with a view to break into the top 6 and the BC Performance ZX10R is a good package to help me do that” As well as Corey’s addition to the team, BC Performance have a new sponsor with commercial fit-out specialist Iceberg enterprises providing backing for the team alongside current sponsors product design consultancy Giocia Design, Grasan Fencing and balustrades and Southern Scene large print and audio book supplier.
