2013 is shaping up for the FX 600 class competitors to be the best year in the history of the Australian FX-Superbike Championship.

Why? For a start apart from the chance of becoming the first competitor in the post Kev Curtain era to become the Australian FX 600 Champion, there will also be all new motorcycle prizes and all competitors in the FX 600 class will get to share in the country’s best announced TV coverage for any class in motorcycle road racing today.

First off, there are all new road registrable series bike prizes in 2013 for eligible privateers in both C and D grade, the C grade FX 600 Champion at the end of the series will win a brand new Yamaha WR450F and the D grade FX 600 champion will win a WR250F.

The FX 600 class isn’t just about bike prizes and Australian championships though, everyone knows television exposure is what creates general public interest and sponsorship opportunities for any class in motorsport and the FX 600 class is right up there per round with its own one hour free to air coverage on Sunday afternoons on Australia’s most widely shown weekly motorsport show SBS Speedweek. Plus to top that off the FX 600 competitors will also get one hour per round on FOX SPEED TV equaling the TV coverage the premier FX-Superbike class will get in 2013.

Add in the Dunlop contingency tyre prizes of one set each of control slicks per top placed privateer A grader, top placed B grader and top placed combined C /D grader per round and there is even more reason for competing in the class.

With no expensive major technical rule changes for 2013 and the series remaining a six round east coast based championship the FX 600 class is easily the most affordable, level playing field and winnable high profile 600 class in the country by far. Add in the unequalled TV exposure, the great bike prizes, the tyre contingency prizes and there are plenty of excellent reasons for racing in the FX 600 class this year.

Plus remember any competitor who competes in at least three rounds in any class of the 2013 Australian FX-Superbike Championship, including the FX 600 class, automatically become eligible to enter the season ending $100,000 winner takes all FX-Superbike 500 Endurance race on Saturday the 16th November.
