MCNEWS.COM.AU - The ultimate in motorcycle news

In relation to articles that have appeared in various magazines over the past week stating that I have signed with Team Kawasaki & Terry Hay for the 2002 season, I would like it to be known that I have never been sent a paper contract, of any sort, by Team Kawasaki or Terry Hay. I have been in negotiations with Kawasaki & agreed to a proposed contingency package, but I have never been presented with a contract by them and am not contracted to them.

Any alleged quotes by me, that have been printed in the media regarding this signed contract, have not been made by me.

As I am not as yet contracted to ride with any team, I am participating in the first round of the Australian Superbike Championship this weekend on my own bike, with assistance from Motul and Bikebiz. I have received no assistance from any factory teams or groups.

NB:  MCNEWS.COM.AU believes Damian's words here supports the original comments we made prior to Kawasaki's statement.  Another Australian site that seems to deal more in misinformation and propaganda to try and promote their own (not so) hidden agenda claimed we had published incorrect information.

They (propaganda site) have also been contacted recently by numerous American magazine editors complaining of the fact that this mob simply copy and paste content from other sites without permission.  Of course, none of this surprises us in the slightest.  People in the know get their news from here which is free from bias and aims to give the bare facts without sensationalism and misinformed anecdote.  You can decide who you trust.....BTW - No information on MCNEWS.COM.AU is EVER derived from any other sites whatsoever.  If the same copy ends up at another site as you see here it means it has been sent to us by the same source as they are using.  The same as sometimes you will see photographs here which then appear in print magazines later on.
