Ruben was born in Barcelona on the 18^th of February 1978 and commenced his career in the Criterium 80cc category in 1993.

From there he went on to compete in both the German Superbike Championship and the World SuperSport Championship.

In 1999 he finished 5^th in the World SuperSport Championship, winning the Misano round and finished second at three other rounds.  A great achievement at this very early stage of his career.

Ruben raced the 2000 World SuperSport Championship aboard a Ducati 748 and makes the move up to SuperBike aboard a 996 for 2001.

He lives in Barcelona and mucks about on MX bikes and jet-skis.  He is also in to snowboarding. 

Ruben is 1.83 metres tall and weighs 75 kilos.
