Shaun Geronomi to ride in the remaining two rounds of the MotoGP 250 Championship

Shaun Geronimi is set to return to the ranks of the 250GP field this weekend in Sepang and for the remainder of the season aboard a TZ 250 Yamaha.

This is the class and bike he knows well winning both his Australian Championships in 1999 and 2000. He will be racing for Italian team EDO with a 2001 spec Yamaha TZ250 for both Malaysian and Brazilian rounds.

Shaun impressed many with his ride on the Paton 500 at Brno and although he was unable to finish the race, or ride again for Paton, his ability was noticed by many team owners.

This opportunity will give Shaun the chance to show what he can do on a bike he is familiar with and with 2002 just around the corner good performances at these rounds could open the door for Shaun for a permanent ride next year.

Shaun is very happy to be back in the MotoGP circuit and have another opportunity to race.
