BMW K1300GT Review / Page 4 By Trevor Hedge With all things BMW the real bugbear comes down to the price. Australia receives two variations of the K1300GT. The SE model retails for $32,775 plus on road coasts but does boast the ESA, ASC and tyre pressure indication system along with heated seats and Xenon lights over the standard K1300GT. Not that the standard model is too hard done by as you still get the panniers, ABS, heated grips and cruise control for your $29,800. The only options really missing from the GT are an integrated satellite navigation system or stereo. Of course BMW does offer the optional Navigator kit which attaches to the bars and uses Bluetooth to deliver voice guidance via a headset in your helmet but while it is effective, it is hardly as convenient as a system fully integrated with a stereo speaker system and the dash instrumentation. While the extra three grand for the SE might be hard to swallow at sign up, I am sure it would be rewarded down the track when it comes time to sell as higher specified models always do better in the second-hand market. |
