As an emigrant from Northern Ireland, it's hardly surprising that I have a thing about pure road racing and a long family history of motorcycling.  My grandfather rode and raced in the 20s and 30s, so those years hold special and personal significance for me.

I began writing and photographing bikes nearly 20 years ago and after emigrating to Australia took up the photo-journalistic activities full time.   Streetbike, Heavy Duty and some other Aussie mags now use me as their regular Western Australian correspondent, although I've had recent success syndicating to European mags such as Germany's Streetfighters and Holland's KicXstart.

My work is exceptionally varied as you'll see here in my new section at www.mcnews.com.au.  From wild Harleys to Spondon Blades and the odd - or very rare- classic, I deal with them all.   Incidentally, I've also ridden in my time too, but an errant P plater put me on hold for a while !

I'm also renowned for my motorcycle photography and shoot regularly at the local Barbagallo road circuit and various MX tracks.  In addition, I try to attend as many Shell Advance Australian Championship meetings as I can each year. I hope you all enjoy my new section at www.mcnews.com.au.
