Awesome news

I reckon Allerton may be a bit busy trying to keep his hands on the ASBK championship from the looks of things though.

I think last year they ran about 3x 15 lap races? That's off the top of my head though.

Weather wasn't too bad if I remember right. Considering the last couple of days are the first real bit of spring we've seen so far this year they ought to be alright.

Track is great fun, huge cambers and elevation changes. Normally amongst the Aussie Superbike nutters it ranks as their 2nd or 3rd preference with the top tracks of course generally Phillip Island and Eastern Creek, but some prefer Wanneroo to one of those. It is quite unique. Download this review which shows some footage from the track when I did a CBR600RR review a few years ago.

Word is that Cam Keevers (2009 Supersport Champ) will be on a CBR1000RR for the Kings.

Jonathon Rea and Andrew Pitt have confirmed that they will both be on the grid come the weekend. I reckon the way Shannon Johnson is riding though he'll still be the one to beat along with the Relentless boys Sealey and Lowry. Simon Andrews is no slouch in the BSB and Keith Amor has proven that he is quick on the track as well as the roads. Should be a huge weekend.

Because the local club brings them there, preps bikes for them and treats them to a fantastic week.

I suggested several years ago that we should be taking advantage of the availability of racers who have finished their seasons and are in the region for Macau.

I don't think Bathurst woud scare anyone who's raced at Macau. It just needs a brave enough promotor & insurer.

Interestingly, I see Terry O'Neil has scheduled the Australasian FX Superbike Championship for December, almost on the old Swann series dates.

One would hope there would be a 107% rule applied to qualifying, as there are a number of names amongst that entry list who are relatively inexperienced or have moved up from 600s.....and there's nothing more tiresome than a pitched, race-long battle being decided on the last lap by the unintentional interference of a slower, lapped rider.
No offence intended toward those referred to, but some for sure are punching above their weight.

I was just reading through the meet doco and qualifying cut-off is 115%, which is a pretty big gap, considering that 115% of a 56 second lap (stupid fast at Barbs) is over 64 seconds, so you'd potentially be looking at lap traffic within the first 8 laps. The superbikes have 15 lap races.

I don't know about the finer details of arrangements for the meet or how slow or fast each of the riders is going to be on the day, but the club is pretty on the ball, and a lot of the local guys are pretty good sports.

The Superbike lap record is a 55.858 set by Krusty in 2005, and the top two or three riders cracked high 56's at last year's Kings meet (on Superstock-ish 1000's with a limited number of tyres).
