Honda Australia is pleased to announce two new key Queensland management appointments within their Motorcycle Division effective 9 February 2009.
After nine years with the company, Mr Tony Wise will be moving into the role of HART Queensland Manager.
Honda Australia Rider Training opened a new facility at the Brisbane Airport last year to deliver Q-RIDE licence training and assessment in line with the company’s philosophy of providing high quality rider training nationally.
Mr Wise has worked as a Territory Manager with Honda in Queensland and the Northern Territory since he commenced with the company, working closely with Dealers on developing their business locally and improving levels of customer service.
Prior to Honda, Tony spent many years in the automotive industry with both Mitsubishi Motors as well as Mazda in the retail sales sector.
“Taking on this new role with HART is an exciting challenge,” he said. “I intend to work closely with the Queensland government and our dealer groups to ensure we are doing as much as possible to create a safe environment for riders.”
“I’m also looking forward to working with Australia Post and other government agencies to promote safety within those workplaces.”
“One of our objectives is to ensure the HART operation is comprehensive. In addition to our current courses for new riders, we will be introducing advanced rider training,” Mr Wise said.
With Tony moving into his new role at HART Queensland, and by request of Senior Management, Mr Rod Day will return to the Motorcycle Division to take over the role of Territory Manager QLD and ATV Product Specialist for Honda Australia.
For 18 years, Rod has worked across each of the Honda divisions including motorcycles and power equipment, and more recently as Business Development Manager within the Marine division.
In his new role, Rod will work closely with the motorcycle dealer network in both urban and regional areas to ensure their viability and longevity during these difficult economic times.

“I am very excited that Honda has asked that I use the knowledge and experience I have to focus back on servicing motorcycle and ATV dealers and customers to help us strive through the next couple of years,” Mr Day said.
“Having worked across each product portfolio including bikes, power equipment and marine has allowed me to see how much positive feedback we get as a brand which is very rewarding.”
“It is important that we continue to build on our strong brand reputation during these tough times.”
