Although a Western Australian Round was originally proposed, the Series will not go to WA in 2003, resulting in a five Round Championship.

“Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, it will not be possible to hold a Round in Western Australia in 2003,” CEO of Motorcycling Australia, Mr David White said today.

In finalising the calendar, the aim had been to spread the Series across several months and simultaneously avoid too long a gap between meetings.

“We believe that this calendar is fair and equitable, with all stakeholders in the Series having adequate time to prepare between Rounds,” Mr White said.

Motorcycling Australia together with Shell and Lazer Helmets are proud to present the 2003 Championship and are aiming for the most successful series to date.

The Nine Network will feature footage of the 2003 on Saturdays between 11.00 am and 12.00 pm, on the weekend after each Round, or at the very latest, two weeks after each Round.

“Motorcycling Australia sincerely wishes to thank Shell and Lazer Helmets for their ongoing support of the Championship and commitment to 2003,” Mr White said.

  • Round 1 - April 11-13 - Mallala, South Australia
  • Round 2 - May 16-18 - Phillip Island, Victoria
  • Round 3 - June 20-22 - Winton, Victoria (to be confirmed)
  • Round 4 - August 8-10 - Queensland Raceway, Ipswich, Queensland
  • Round 5 - August 29-31 - Eastern Creek International Raceway, New South Wales
