Australian GP 2003 - Aussie Support Events - Superbike

Clear skies and a moderate breeze greeted the Australian Superbike riders as they headed out for their one and only 25-minute qualifying session before their first race gets underway late on Friday afternoon.

Shawn Giles held the top spot on the leader-board throughout most of the session with Brookes the only other man in the 1-minute-35 bracket. And that is the way it finished.

Coxhell only got a few laps in before losing the front in a big way at turn three which ruled him out of most of the session. However his early time was still good enough for the front row.
