Warren Steele heads to his local track this weekend. Anglesey is the stage for the 5th NORA British Supermoto Championships. Warren who has been consistent in the last races will be hoping for a few more wins under his belt.

Main rivals Leighton Haigh and Christian Iddon will be missing, Leighton is still recovering from the broken collarbone that he sustained at the last NORA Championships at Blyton having crashed heavily and being air lifted to hospital he is still not up to full fitness.

Warren’s main competitor this weekend will be KTM’s Andy Smith who will be putting pressure on the tough scouser. Warren will be competing in both the Open and 450 class, Steve Smith from HM Racing is working hard to get Warren’s 450 Husqvarna onto full race pace and each race weekend the times are improving.

Warren, who is still suffering with torn muscles and tendons in his shoulder after suffering from a crash whilst out training on his Enduro bike. The incident happened 7 weeks ago and the healing process has been slower than what Warren had hoped. However he will battle through the pain at the weekend to try and regain his lead at the top of the Championship table.

Commenting Warren said ‘I’ve been suffering a lot with my shoulder but I’ve been having a vast amount of physio on it to try and speed up the healing process. I’m looking forward to Anglesey as it’s only an hour from where I live so hopefully I should have a lot of support there from family and friends alike. It’s a good track and I’ve gained some good results there in the past so I’m hoping I will be able to take a few of the wins.’
