The Belgian Supermoto S1Grand Prix in Spa-Francorchamps was one of the best we have ever seen. Terrible fights all over the circuit. The two Belgians, Fréderic Fiorentino and Gerald Delepine dominated the first race from start till finish. For Fréderic Fiorentino was the first heat a start-finish victory. No points for leader Max Manzo due to problems with the bike. One of the best riders was Eddy Seel. He was not lucky in the start but he made a really good come-back till place five. He was very fast, for sure on the small motocross track but to score a podium place was not possible for the Husqvarna rider living close to the Francorchamps track and this for more than 8500 spectators during the weekend.

Frederic Fiorentino continued his excellent form in the second heat. With Fréderic Fiorentino and Ivan Lazzarini we had the same main riders as in in the first heat. We noticed Eddy Seel on place 3 and Gerald Delepine, second in the first heat, passed as seventh in the first lap. Fiorentino, Lazzarini and Seel began to break away from the main pack. Eddy Seel was going fast too and was pushing Lazzarini, he attacked all over the track but without any success. Eddy was riding till the limit and was pumped-up to score a podium place. By one of his attacks he crashed in the turn before the finish. Again no podium place for Eddy who was very disappointed after the heat. Lazzarini tried till the last lap to pass Fiorentino inside but Fiorentino was the boss and won his second heat of the day.

No Fiorentino or Seel as leader in the first turn after the start but the French KTM rider Boris Chambon made a holeshot in the 24 lap Super final, the main event of the day before the Belgian riders Gerald Delepine and Fréderic Fiorentino. The French KTM rider was really too fast for the rest of the pack and won very easy. It was more difficult for the second place, Gerald Delepine had to stop due to a blocked motor and Fiorentino and Seel were fighting like hell for the second place. Four laps before the end Seel passed Fiorentino inside the turn and finished second before Fiorentino. Seel sent the fans wild with his impressive second place. Two Belgian riders on the podium in their own country, it could have been worse !!!
