  • Later...  - Chris Seaton lost his third place result as his machine was found to not meet technical requirements. We believe the issue was that the thermo fans on his Kawasaki had been removed. Hardly something that would give an advantage but rules are rules.
  • 1701 - They are down!   Brookes and Fergusson both go down after coming together at MG Hairpin handing the win to Aitchison, Waters 2nd by only 0.026 of a second. Seaton 3rd, O'Halloran 4th then it is McMartin, Geronomi, Curran, Coote, Brookes, Campbell, Stalder, Fitzgerald, Fergusson, Quinn, Jones, Morgan, Goldsmith, Charlett, Cole, Edwards, Tomassetti, Partoosh, Onus, Clarke, Higgins, Cartledge, Liddicoat,
  • 1700 - Fergusson right on Brookes' tail...
  • 1659 - Now it is Brookes, Fergusson, Aitchison, Waters. The Honda men are going to be too strong I think...
  • 1658 - The race order with 3 laps to run was Staring, Brookes, Fergusson, Waters, Aitchison but then just as they were about to start their penultimate lap Staring went down. Not sure what happened but he went down near turn 11
  • 1657 - Bryan takes the lead at turn four
  • 1656 - Waters now from Fergusson, Staring, Aitchison and Brookes with the five still nose to tail or side by side
  • 1655 - That Kawasaki is damn fast, nobody could stay with Waters down the main straight that time. Staring closes up to him though through Southern Loop... Aitchison has pushed Brookes back to 5th
  • 1654 - The order now Waters, Fergusson, Staring, Brookes, Aitchison. Nothing in it...
  • 1653 - Waters got a great run through turns 11 and 12 and an awesome slipstream to just shoot past the whole pack to go from 5th to 1st in one foul swoop!  5 laps to run
  • 1652 - Fergusson gets Staring for second place. Aitchison still right with them also as is Waters. In fact the top five was only covered by half a second last time they crossed the stripe
  • 1651 - Onto the main straight they come and Staring gets by Fergusson but then Brookes gets both of them to take the lead into turn one
  • 1650 - As they come around to start lap two it is still Staring, Brookes looks up the inside in to turn one but Staring holds his line... Fergusson gets him at turn four though
  • 1649 - Aitchison gets a great start but it is Bryan Staring who took the lead at turn one with the two Joe Rocket Honda men in behind him.
