Unedited rough notes from out live text coverage

  • 1038 - Rigoli gets to the flag first ahead of Galvin and Hatton but on combined time it is Peter Galvin who takes the win by nearly half a second over Rigoli and Tom Hatton takes third. Next best was Scott, Bell, Thompson, Panayi, Coleman, Moller, Humphreys, Laing-Hughes
  • 1037 - Simmonds looked as though he might be able to run away with it his machine gave up the ghost and he coasted to a stop in the esses.  Galvin inherited the lead with Rigoli right on his hammer and young Tom Hatton had woken up and closed on to the back of the pair but with the last lap board out he might have run out of time
  • 1034 - On combined time with four laps to run it is Rigoli from Galvin and Simmonds while on track the order is the same however Galvin has closed on Rigoli and Simmonds is right there with him and challenging for 2nd place on track.  But then Galvo gets a great run up the hill and blasts pasts them down the hill to take the lead on the track and the lead on combined time but through turn one it is Simmonds who takes his turn at the front.  Tom Hatton not challenging in this one
  • 1033 - The 125 men away again now, Rigoli gets the holeshot and puts in the best first lap to pull away from Galvin to the tune of a full second but Galvin might be able to close him down as the laps count down
  • 1030 - Riders heading out of pitlane now
  • 1024 - The aftermath of that tumble is still being cleared away and once everything is clear the race will be restarted with the grid based on how they last crossed the line prior to the red flag and the final results decided on combined time across the two legs. The grid for the restart for the final six laps will be Galvin, Rigoli, Scott, Hatton, Simmonds, Panayi, Bell, Coleman, Thompson, Moller, Humphrey, Laing-Hughes.
  • 1018 - Peter Galvin and Tom Hatton got away well but soon there was a feisty group of five fighting it out for the lead around the first couple of laps with paintwork being swapped at regular intervals with seven laps still to run it was Hatton in front by a coat of paint over Peter Galvin and then Campbell and Simmonds all covered by only two-tenths of a second. The action was unfolding thick and fast before Campbell went tumbling under brakes at the final turn with the bike going over end for end which brought the red flag out.
