  • 1705 - That's us for today, now it's home to watch the World Superbikes... Enjoy your evening
  • 1655 - Superbike Points - Superbike R2 -
  • 1644 - Full results coming down shortly from the Superbikes and we will post full results and points when they have been signed off on by the appropriate authorities
  • 1626 - Still waiting for confirmation of the full results from the second Superbike leg.
  • 1624 - We just got word that Dan Stauffer has been told at hospital he as broken nothing but instead has done a little bruising on his kidney along with being quite battered and bruised so it is highly likely that we will see him back in action next week in Adelaide
  • 1556 - We just got word that Brookes might in fact lose the sixth place he recovered for not rejoining the circuit in the correct fashion after getting himself out of the sand....  More to hand when things are confirmed...
  • 1537 - Superbike Race Two Provisional Results - Giles, Johnson, J Stauffer, Fergusson, Charlton, Brookes, Bugden, Allerton, Rees, Geronomi, Coote, Etheridge, Adams, Tuchyna, Turnbull.... But we have received notice that the results are being held pending, well something,,, not sure what but don't count your chickens just yet....
  • 1534 - Over the hill they come and Brookes has made his way past Johnson somewhere around the back of the circuit, not sure whether it was due to just speed or lapped traffic but the outcome is the same.  Last lap board and then Brookesy showed that maybe his second place had come from sheer speed as he then took Giles before the left hander, they are side by side down the hill, side by side under brakes at the final turn, Brookesy in too deep and in the sand, picks the bike up and rejoins the race to salvage 6th but Gilesy the winner, Johnson second by 8-tenths and Jamie Stauffer takes a distant third place some 12 seconds behind.  Fergusson 4th, Charlton 5th, Brookes 6th, Bugden 7th, Allerton 8th
  • 1533 - None of the boys seem to be suffering with tyres here today to the extent they did at Eastern Creek early in the month, at the moment it is Dunlop, Dunlop, Michelin with two laps to go.  Adam Fergusson is close enough to start challenging Jamie Stauffer for fourth and surely will before this race ends... 2 to go
  • 1532 - Giles, Johnson, Brookes the order and the trip now covered by only 6-tenths as Brookes is not the fastest man on the circuit after putting in a 55.988 on that lap...
  • 1531 - Giles up the inside under brakes at Novus Corner to take the lead with a little over four laps to run. Brookes seems to have closed a little ground back on the pair also...
  • 1529 - Lots of lapped traffic on the hands of the leaders now, must be a nightmare for them out there at this stage of the race as their fate certainly isn't in their own hands at some points of the race... Giles now less than 2-tenths from Johnson while Brookes is now a full second behind... 6 laps to run
  • 1528 - Brookes lost some ground on Giles that time around but still managed to close another tenth on race leader Shannon as the second and third placed riders now putting in faster laps than the race leader but only by a whisker.. Giles only 3-tenths behind Shannon now though... 8 laps to run..
  • 1527 - Giles and Brookes spurring each on to bigger and better things as at first glance I thought Shannon must have had a bad lap as the pair had closed a lot of ground on him but the timing monitor told a different story with Giles putting down a 55.900 and Brookes a 56.040 which is what brought Shannon a bit closer to them
  • 1525 - Lapped traffic already quite a problem for the leaders but everything safe thus far.  Johnson looks to possibly have the measure of his pursuers in this one and has stretched his lead back out to 1.1 seconds now while Brookes is trying hard to get close enough to challenge Giles for second. Adam Fergusson still fifth and possibly with enough time on his hands remaining to try and chase down Jamie Stauffer for fourth...
  • 1523 - Brookes has put his head down to try and go with Giles and he is doing exactly that, fastest lap of the race thus far to Brookes with a 56.069 but that doesn't drag too much in on Giles as the Suzuki man did 56.163 on that lap and Shannon a 56.259, things are tight at the top on lap times and the current gaps are 8-tenths between first and second with Brookes only a couple of tenths adrift of Giles
  • 1522 - Brookes up to third which pushes Jamie Stauffer back to fourth. Giles closing on Johnson already, the gap is one full second but plenty of laps left...
  • 1520 - Fergusson the fastest man on that lap despite the traffic and up to sixth place and then made up another place on the following lap to be up to fifth. Johnson still leading the way while Shawn Giles, Jamie Stauffer and Josh Brookes battle over second place which could play in to Shannon's hands... It is a long race however, 15 laps still to run.  Gilesy up to second now and with some clear track...
  • 1518 - Revs rise, and they're off, well some of them are.... Fergusson's clutch bit numerous times and the bike jumped and crawled and jumped again, a nightmare for the Honda boys and by the time he got to turn one he was well outside the top ten... Shannon Johnson was the man with the quick draw clutch hand though and led them around the first lap from Jamie Stauffer and Shawn Giles followed by Brookes, Rees, Allerton, Bugden and Geronomi. Fergusson trying to force his way forward and made it up to 11th by the end of that first lap after going up the inside and outside of riders at virtually every turn. They come round to start lap three now and it is still Shannon leading from Jamie and Shannon the quickest man on that lap by a few tenths with a 56.150
  • 1512 - Superbikes forming up on the grid now before they set off on their warm up lap
  • 1500 - Bonthorne and Edwards side by side down the hill, Bonthorne a little deep at Novus Corner which allows Edwards through for the lead just as they received the last lap board... And there is a yellow flag at the final turn so Bonthorne couldn't even challenge if he was close enough... Edwards takes the win from Bonthorne, Bennett third, Hay fourth then it was Ward, Clarke, Quinn, Figueiredo, Higgins, Jones, Furlong, Watson, Liddicoat, Doddrell, Allan, Christie, Houston, Webster, Smith
  • 1458 - One of the Superstockers near the front lost the front into turn one, not sure which one but still Bonthorne leading the way but being caught by Darren Edwards who is sure to mount a challenge shortly. Ingram was the man that crashed on that previous lap at turn one
  • 1454 - Superstockers are away in their final race of the day and it is Dean Bonthorne leading the way from Shane Ingram and Drew Bennett, Bonthorne pulled out a 65.7 from a standing start which is a mighty fine way to start a race indeed
  • 1445 - Pro Twins Race 3 - Archibald, Allen, McMartin, Lyons, MacDonald the top five with Archibald taking the win by 6.4 seconds over his teammate. Archibald set a new lap record in that race also with a 57.716
  • 1444 - Australian Supersport Championship Points Standings
  • 1437 - Twins are out for their final race of the weekend now
  • 1427 - Supersport Race 2 - Brookes, Fergusson, Staring, Seaton, Waters, Baird, Aitchison, Clarke, O'Halloran, Crowe, Curran, Stalder, Cudlin, Davies, Campbell
  • 1425 - Lapped traffic has been the spoiler, Staring got taken out wide at the left hander trying to avoid a lapper which completely messed him up and allowed Fergusson through.  Staring I believe was going to try and take the win from Brookes on that last lap but the lapper decided the outcome of that one.  Brookes the winner, Fergusson second and a thoroughly despondent Staring comes home third. But he is not the first man to lose the chance at a race win through lapped traffic, and he certainly won't be the last.  His time will come I'm sure
  • 1424 - Brookes, Staring, Fergusson the leading trio and the last lap board is out
  • 1423 - Fergusson determined to not let Staring have that second place and responds with a 57.981 to now be the fastest man thus far. More lapped traffic now.
  • 1421 - Staring holds off Fergusson around the back of the track and comes through with an amazing 57.984 lap on this 17th lap of the race, he is right on Brookes again after putting in that fastest lap of the race thus far
  • 1420 - Staring again a little deep into the final turn which nearly gives away his position to Fergusson but he holds on, it has allowed Brookesy to get a couple of bike lengths away though...4 laps to run 1418 - Brookes made some ground down the hill that time, Staring tries to make it up at turn one but runs a little too deep which gives Fergusson a sniff but he can't make it stick.  Lapped traffic now......
  • 1417 - The bikes all fairly matched for top speed it seems, Staring right on the pipe of Brookes into the left hander, over the hill they go, we wait for them to come around the basin and back into view over the hill........And it is still Brookes that pops over the hill first.  Fergusson has pushed Waters back to fourth now. Seven laps to run and the top quartet are covered by only 7-tenths
  • 1416 - Staring thinking about challenging Brookes for the lead and nearly had a go into the final corner that time around. Fergusson catching them now and the battle for the lead will soon be a 4-way affair, Fergusson's first target will be Waters
  • 1415 - Fergusson just set a new fastest lap of the race with a 58.23, he is now 8-tenths behind third placed Waters in this very closely matched field
  • 1414 - Fergusson had got the better of Seaton and was now only a second behind the leading trio. Brookes leading the way and put in a quick 58.05 but the others were only tiny fractions slower and he can still not break away
  • 1413 - Staring and Waters staying with Brookes, there is no getting away for the factory Honda man and this might prove a battle all the way down to the final turn on the final lap
  • 1412 - Somebody just went down at the final turn, first instincts say it was Gareth Jones but he should be okay
  • 1411 - Brookes alongside Staring on the straight and gets him into turn one to take the lead and then monos out of turn one on the first change of direction for the esses, he might try and make a break...
  • 1410 - Fergusson up to fifth and running consistent fast laps, the next man in his sights is Seaton but the Kawasaki privateer will prove no pushover
  • 1409 - Still a long way to go, 16 laps in fact and I get the impression that Brookesy is stalking Staring and just waiting for the teenager to make a mistake rather than take any risks getting past him.  Seaton was the fastest man on that last lap by a tiny fraction
  • 1408 - Still Staring, Brookes, Waters but Seaton the surprise package this weekend and up to 4th and has set the fastest two laps of the race.
  • 1407 - 18 laps to run run now and it is Staring with 3-tenths over Brookes who has 2-tenths over Waters and then half a second to Bairdy
  • 1406 - As they start lap two it is still Staring and Brookesy, Waters, Baird, Fergusson, Seaton, Aitchison, O'Halloran
  • 1405 - Revs rise, off they go, four wide into turn one and Staring comes out the other end in front from Brookesy
  • 1403 - Warm up lap now...
  • 1400 - Supersport machines heading out of pit lane
  • 1355 - Simmonds takes the win by 7.9 secs over Galvin, Rigoli third, Hatton fourth
  • 1351 - The battle for second place hotting up again now with Galvin taking 2nd from Rigoli and Hatton right there with them also now, Simmonds has sprinted away to the tune of over 5.6 seconds
  • 1349 - Simmonds the only man in the 61s thus far in this race and now has a 3 second lead over Rigoli who in turn has more than half a second over Galvin and the same gap again back to Hatton in 4th
  • 1347 - 125 GP machines out for their final race now and Brett Simmonds blasted away in the opening couple of laps to the tune of 2.2 seconds while Brent Rigoli, Peter Galvin and Tom Hatton battle over second place. Six laps to run
  • 1339 - Archibald takes the win by two seconds over Cartwright with Rattenbury a further couple of second down but his jump start penalty will push him back 4th and promote Al Hoare on to the podium
  • 1336 - Final Nakeds race of the day on now and Archibald, Cartwright and Rattenbury the top trio but Rattenbury has a 10 second penalty to be applied for jumping the start.
  • 1334 - Well just when I thought I was safe with Shannon as I waited downstairs they told me it was now Robbie Baird who was going to take me... Now Dan I can handle, Shannon I can handle but I was just not prepared for Robbie... But I must say I was just being a big girl and in fact it was really good fun.  Even with me on the back Bairdy cracked 180 over the hill on the MT-01 and we were carrying a bit of speed into the turns too, washing off in to the middle rather than carrying good corner speed but we were certainly rushing in much quicker than I had expected. Even with me on the back and brand new rubber I still think we probably went around the track quicker than half the R1 owners out there do on track days...
  • 1333 - Full results from Sidecar race two
  • 1327 - Full results from Superbike race one
  • 1258 - Abbott & Biggs take the win by 24 seconds over the Chivas/Johnson outfit, next best Jones/Budarick, followed by Hair/Burrows, Alton/Patterson, Soutar/Rowe, Bruce/Leak
  • 1255 - 59.7 that time for the spectacular three wheeler
  • 1254 - Abbott down to 59.6 now, Chivas & Johnson the best of the rest in second place and trying to hold of Hutchinson and Dewhurst
  • 1252 - Sidecar race underway now with predictably Abbott & Biggs leading the way, not going as fast as they though they might however, only down to 60.3 thus far in this race, under the lap record but they though 58s and perhaps even 57s could have been possible from their outfit this weekend
  • 1250 - Sidecars about to go out and after their race we have a short lunch break. In that lunch break I am heading out with Shannon Johnson for a lap of the circuit, Dan was to be my pilot but since he is now out of action Shannon has stepped in.  That may not be such a bad thing as I think Shannon might try and scare me less than Dan, I get the feeling that he would have taken full advantage of the chance to make me mess my pants
  • 1244 - Word is that Dan Stauffer has a broken wrist and forearm, that is yet to be confirmed by Xray etc. but that is the early diagnosis
  • 1239 - Superbike Race one provisional result - Giles, Fergusson, J Stauffer, Johnson, Brookes, Charlton, Bugden, Allerton, Rees, Geronomi, Maxwell, Tuchyna, Adams.  The only thing I can see possibly changing is the position of Charlton as he did run off the track and cut out half a lap in the first leg which I am unsure as to whether that has been taken  in to account as yet or not
  • 1238 - Gilesy takes the win by 2.7 seconds over Fergusson, Jamie Stauffer takes third, Johnson fourth, Brookes fifth
  • 1237 - Last lap board now - On track it is Giles, Fergusson, Johnson, Jamie Stauffer
  • 1236 - Giles controlling it now, he knows he only has to keep it tidy for a couple more laps and the win is his
  • 1235 - Three laps to run and on combined time it is Giles with 2.6 seconds over Fergusson who in turn has a full second on Jamie Stauffer. Fourth is Shannon Johnson with two seconds on Josh Brookes
  • 1233 - Krusty was pulling out all stops to try and close on Shawn but he nearly missed a stop altogether after nearly running out of track at the final turn, how he managed to pull it up I'll never know, I was sure he was going to be picking sand out of his teeth just then but he holds it together and only loses a few tenths with the mistake and holds on to the second position on track
  • 1232 - Shannon takes third place on track from Jamie.  Charlton had been running fifth on track but Brookes has just worked his way past for the track position
  • 1231 - Fergusson up to second on track now but still third on combined time but only by a couple of tenths, on the track he is perhaps half a second behind Shawn but on combined time the Suzuki's lead is a full two seconds
  • 1230 - Gilesy with a few bike lengths over Jamie now and Krusty has passed Shannon on the track so the on track order now the same as the order on combined time
  • 1229 - On combined times the order is; Shawn, Jamie, Adam, Shannon, Josh
  • 1228 - Krusty on a charge this time, down to 55.8 and closing on Shannon
  • 1227 - Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda the lead order after the first lap of the restart with Shawn, Jamie, Shannon and Fergusson the protagonists in that top quartet
  • 1226 - Who is going to get the jump this time!.......... It is Gilesy and Jamie Stauffer who both get off the line well while this time it was Josh's turn to fluff the start as his Fireblade went skyward which meant he had to get out of the throttle, they are going to have to try and invent some sort of launch control for those Fireblades
  • 1225 - I think we could be looking at a record crowd here today with close to perfect weather, clear blue sky and only a very slight breeze
  • 1224 - Off on their warm up lap again now. Krusty even fluffed his leave off the line on the warm up lap, he will be livid.  Third time lucky perhaps when he comes around this time for the race start
  • 1221 - All the mess has been cleared and pit lane will open in 60 seconds for the riders to head out and form up on the grid once again prior to another warm up lap. Then we will have the second leg of this opening race which will run over another 12 laps
  • 1219 - We believe Dan came down on his shoulder so could have damaged that once again. Both Jamie and Shannon did stop at the scene before riding off so we can only assume that Dan must be okay apart from the normal injuries sustained in such a tumble
  • 1215 - It is Daniel down, Shannon is in the pits on his bike.  Apologies to Jan and AJ as I know I probably just gave you a heart attack
  • 1214 - HANG ON, we thought and along with everyone else that it was Shannon that was down but we just got word that it could in fact be Dan Stauffer down. More as it unfolds
  • 1213 - There were 12 laps remaining when the red flag came out so I expect we will have a restart for the remaining laps with the grid decided on the current running order and the overall race result decided on combined time across the two legs
  • 1211 - RED FLAG - Need to clear Shannon's bike from the exit of the left hander, racesafe on way in van and also vehicle recovery, racesafe there in I think less than 90 seconds and that would be a conservative estimate, perhaps closer to 60 seconds
  • 1211 - Lappers already but they all make it through safely. Brookes through on Dan for 3rd place. Shannon Johnson down at the left hander
  • 1210 - The Honda boys starting to look a little threatening now also with Brookes in fourth and Fergusson fifth, the pair closing on Dan Stauffer
  • 1209 - Shawn to the lead now, that could be a wise move as Jamie will now have to fend off a challenge from his brother
  • 1208 - Things hotting up in front now, the order still Jamie, Shawn and Dan but they are very close together now and Dan looks as though he is on a mission after what was a disappointing and frustrating day for him yesterday
  • 1207 - Dan Stauffer the first man to break the race lap record after going through in third place with a 56.022, he is only half a second behind Giles
  • 1206 - The race order; Jamie, Shawn, Shannon, Dan, Josh, Adam, Bugden, Allerton
  • 1205 - 18 laps to run now and still Jamie from Shawn, both ran 56.2 that time around and have pulled out a few tenths over Shannon
  • 1205 - Jamie holds the lead around lap one but Gilesy is hounding him while Shannon Johnson and Daniel Stauffer follow
  • 1204 - Superbikes are off and Fergusson completely fluffed the start which shuffled him back through the field but no such problems for Jamie Stauffer who held the lead through turn one and through the esses
  • 1153 - Superbikes out next for their fist race of the weekend
  • 1150 - Tuddenham wins the C&D race from Manning and Partoosh, Liminton 4th, Van Rooyen 5th
  • 1140 - Bennett takes the clear win over Ingram with Casella third
  • 1132 - Four laps to run and Bennett leads by 1.1 seconds over Figueiredo, Casella, Ingram, Bonthorne, Edwards, Hay and Quinn.  That 2nd through 8th places all covered by 1.5 seconds
  • 1128 - Superstock race has just got underway and it is Drew Bennett the early leader from Dean Bonthorne, Daniel Figueiredo, Chris Casella, Darren Edwards
  • 1121 - Full results from Australian Supersport race 1
  • 1120 - Pro Twins second race on now and with two laps to run it is Archibald with a 5 second lead over Allen and McMartin running third a further four seconds down in third
  • 1112 - Supersport points now sees Brookes obviously still leading on 128 points with Waters moving up to second on 109 points, Fergusson third 106 points, Aitchison and O'Halloran equal on 96 points, Baird on 82 followed by Staring
  • 1109 - Supersport Race One Provisional Results
  1. Brookes
  2. Waters 1sec
  3. Staring 1.7secs
  4. Clarke 4secs
  5. Fergusson 4.4secs
  6. Aitchison 6.3secs
  7. Seaton 6.7secs
  8. Baird 6.7secs
  • 1108 - Brookes takes the win! Waters second
  • 1106 - Two laps to run - Brookesy by 1.2 seconds over Waters, Staring in third a further half a second down. Clarke in fourth, Fergusson fifth
  • 1104 - Staring got messed up by some backmarkers and lost some time, Waters slipped up to second but the big story is the revujenated Brendan Clarke who is charging very hard and has pushed Krusty back to fifth. 4 laps to run. We had a break in net access then for a few minutes but the text below is still current as we have been updating off line in the mean time.
  • 1103 - Brookes now leads by 6-tenths of a second as Staring starts to come under attack from Waters. Fergusson still in fourth place a further 1.7 seconds behind and being caught by Brendan Clarke. Aitchison runing sixth, Seaton seventh, Baird eighth
  • 1101 - Clarke making progress, up to 5th now.  Clarke set another new fastest lap with a 57.781
  • 1100 - Staring still trying to find a move that will stick in order to take the lead from Brookes but due to that is slowing himself a little at some parts, it is one thing to run the same pace, it is another thing to be able to get past and stay there as you are going to have to get off the best racing line in order to get through which then buggers up your run out.
  • 1058 - Aitchison on the pace now, 57.932 to go quickest but then Brendan Clarke in 8th place eclipsed that on the same lap to lower the mark
    to 57.876
  • 1057 - Staring gets Brookes under brakes at the final turn but Brookes lets him have it and gets the better run through the turn to take the lead
straight back. This leading trio are on it and Staring has set the fastest lap thus far with a 57.978. Fergusson has finally got the better of
Seaton but is 2.2 seconds behind the leaders, however there are still 11 laps to run... 1053 - 15 laps to run - Brookes, Staring, Waters, Seaton, Fergusson the top five with the whole gaggle covered by only 1.5 seconds.
  • 1052 - Krusty upping the pace now, fastest race of the lap thus far with a 58.038 but he is running in fifth place, 1.7 seconds behind the leader but he is fired up and battling hard with Seaton around the circuit in the aim of stealing that fourth position. Seaton not giving it away though...
  • 1051 - Staring closing on Brookes now and will challenge soon, the gap down to 2-tenths now and he is right on his hammer. Waters also looking strong and him and Chris Seaton were the fastest men on that lap with identical 58.145 times
  • 1050 - Second lap and it looks to be shaping up as a Brookes-Staring battle, the gap remaining constant between the pair at just under half a second. In third place a further full second behind is Josh Waters, Robbie Baird, Chris Seaton, Adam Fergusson and Mark Aitchison. Long race this one though, 20 laps in all so we still have 18 to go...
  • 1048 - Revs rise, riders forward, Staring had to double clutch as it bit home too hard which cost him off the line but he went around the outside (!) of Bairdy at turn one showing no sign of respect for the big boys here today but Brookesy had got a clean run through 1 and the esses which allowed him to start pulling a little ground around the back of the circuit but Staring made up some of that ground under brakes at Novus and the gap less than half a second between them as they start lap two
  • 1046 - Supersport boys on their warm up lap now
  • 1042 - Next up is the first Supersport race for the weekend. WA youngster Bryan Staring is very confident that he can do it here today and expect to see him battle it out with Brookes, Fergusson, Waters, Baird with Seaton, Aitchison, O'Halloran, Clarke and Jones also nipping at their heels
  • 1038 - Rigoli gets to the flag first ahead of Galvin and Hatton but on combined time it is Peter Galvin who takes the win by nearly half a second over Rigoli and Tom Hatton takes third. Next best was Scott, Bell, Thompson, Panayi, Coleman, Moller, Humphreys, Laing-Hughes
  • 1037 - Simmonds looked as though he might be able to run away with it his machine gave up the ghost and he coasted to a stop in the esses.  Galvin inherited the lead with Rigoli right on his hammer and young Tom Hatton had woken up and closed on to the back of the pair but with the last lap board out he might have run out of time
  • 1034 - On combined time with four laps to run it is Rigoli from Galvin and Simmonds while on track the order is the same however Galvin has closed on Rigoli and Simmonds is right there with him and challenging for 2nd place on track.  But then Galvo gets a great run up the hill and blasts pasts them down the hill to take the lead on the track and the lead on combined time but through turn one it is Simmonds who takes his turn at the front.  Tom Hatton not challenging in this one
  • 1033 - The 125 men away again now, Rigoli gets the holeshot and puts in the best first lap to pull away from Galvin to the tune of a full second but Galvin might be able to close him down as the laps count down
  • 1030 - Riders heading out of pitlane now
  • 1024 - The aftermath of that tumble is still being cleared away and once everything is clear the race will be restarted with the grid based on how they last crossed the line prior to the red flag and the final results decided on combined time across the two legs. The grid for the restart for the final six laps will be Galvin, Rigoli, Scott, Hatton, Simmonds, Panayi, Bell, Coleman, Thompson, Moller, Humphrey, Laing-Hughes.
  • 1018 - Peter Galvin and Tom Hatton got away well but soon there was a feisty group of five fighting it out for the lead around the first couple of laps with paintwork being swapped at regular intervals with seven laps still to run it was Hatton in front by a coat of paint over Peter Galvin and then Campbell and Simmonds all covered by only two-tenths of a second. The action was unfolding thick and fast before Campbell went tumbling under brakes at the final turn with the bike going over end for end which brought the red flag out.
  • 1017 - Full results from Nakedbike race 2
  • 1013 - Cartwright is a confirmed DNF
  • 1008 - Cancel that last, some timing problems there and we are not sure whether Cartwright actually finished or not. We will wait for the confirmed results before calling it but one thing is certain, Archibald was definitely the winner
  • 1005 - All over by the shouting now as we lost Cartwright somewhere on the circuit, not sure why but he will be a DNF, Archibald celebrates the win with a nice mono while Rattenbury takes second place 4 seconds behind and Al Hoare scores the final spot on the podium a further 5 seconds down.  Eight riders finished that race from what looked like nine starters. Disappointing for the class it must be said.
  • 1004 - Only a couple of laps to run and Cartwright is putting in a determined charge to try and close some ground to Archibald, the gap had gone out to nearly 2.5 seconds but he pegged a few tenths back from that after putting in a 58.57 to Archibald's 58.9 on that time around
  • 1002 - Archibald backed that up with a 58.48 on the next lap to stretch his lead out to 1.9 seconds over Cartwright who managed a 59.71 that time around. Al Hoare running fourth and also under the magic minute mark now
  • 1001 - Cartwright and Rattenbury got away with Archibald in this encounter but it only took a lap for Archibald to start pulling away with a 58.60 on his second lap but Cartwright should not be counted out of the game as he was also in the 58s with a 58.810, Rattenbury still there also with a 59.182
  • 1000 - More technical dramas for the Aprilia men again at this round though with John Allen having to sit this one out. It isn't only the Aprilia men to have had dramas in this class though as one of the FZ-1 Yamaha machines also lunched a motor yesterday
  • 0958 - Nakedbikes are out for the first race of the day which is their second race of the weekend. Only a very small nakedbike field again at this round which is quite disappointing as the class did hold much promise but without a large quality of field bikes the class does lose some allure. The two Aprilia men are the only team in this class with any sort of budget and that shows in the results while Rattenbury and Cartwright chase them
