1527 - Brookes up to second, 67.43

1523 - Giles goes to the top of the charts with a 67.27

1515 - Jamie Stauffer and Shawn Giles the first men in to the 67s. A couple of minutes later Brookes and Fergusson also got down to 67s. 20 minutes to run and Jamie leads the way with a 67.6. Bugden is fifth just ahead of Charlton, Johnson and Allerton.
1505 - Superstock session finished with the following order from fastest; Edwards, Doddrell, Bennett, Higgins, Christie, Andrens, Figueiredo, Quinn, Ingram, Bonthorne, Liddicoat, Leisavnieks - Superbikes heading out on track now
1453 - Superstockers have five minutes to go in their first qualifying session and leading the way is Edwards who is the only man in the 73s then it is Higgins, Christie, Andrens, Figueiredo, Doddrell, Bonthorne, Liddicoat
1439 - Pro Twins first qualifier just wrapped up and it is Archibald on provisional pole with a 69.02, Allen alongside him on 69.99 then the duo are followed by Brenton, McMartin, Fripp, Liminton, Johnston, Lyons, Martinello, Van Rooyen, M Johnston, Liminton, Whyment, Clark and finally Ellul
1423 - Full Supersport Combined Practice Times
1414 - Aitchison has improved his time to 69.40 and still holds down third while Brendan Clarke just got a hurry on and is now fifth quickest with a 69.98. Only a couple of minutes to run in this Supersport session and the current order is; Fergusson, Brookes, Aitchison, Baird, Clarke, Staring, O'Halloran, Waters, Davies, Jones, Seaton, Crowe, Coote, Campbell
1408 - Krusty goes quicker again, this time a 69.06
1406 - We brought some good news about Dan Stauffer's speedy recovery earlier this morning but now we can update you with even more progress as the hospital has got sick of Dan already and he is heading home today!
1406 - Krusty on top now, 69.103, Aitchison up to third quickest with a 69.700

1404 - Bairdy goes third quickest with a 69.94 which pushes Staring back to fourth
1357 - Brookesy down to 69.12, Krusty right down there also with a 69.16, Staring the only other man in the 69s

1349 - Krusty the first man to go under 70 seconds so far today, he just went through with a 69.87

1324 - Nakedbikes just finished their first qualifier and it is Benn Archibald topping the charts with a 70.1 ahead of local rider Michael Brenton who always goes very well at Mallala. Third quickest is Cartwright who is then followed by Hoare, Rattenbury, Van Rooyen, Whyment and Allen

1202 - Superbikes out and at it now and with five minutes remaining in their opening practice session it is Adam Fergusson on top with a 67.6 ahead of Shawn Giles (68.0), Jamie Stauffer (68.4) and Shannon Johnson (68.4)

1115 - C&D practice session underway now which will be followed by Superbike
1112 - Superstock session just wrapped up with Edwards quickest with a 73.9 ahead of Bartlome (74.1), Quinn (74.9), Radford (75.3).

1102 - Just went for a wander around the pits and the consensus seems to be that the track was extremely dirty this morning with lots of dust making for slippery going. Superstockers on track now with Edwards leading the way from Bartlome
1023 - Dan wishes to thank everyone for all their kind wishes and offers of support. Dan's employer Jetstar/Qantas has also been, as always, very understanding and he hopes to be back at work very soon.
1021 - Dan Stauffer rang in with an update last night and the news was all good with the Yamaha pilot expecting to head home some time next week to start his recuperation process and all going well he could even perhaps ride at Winton
1019 - This session wrapping up now with Staring the main improver towards the end with the young privateer surpassing Clarke to take fourth quickest with a 70.73. So the order in this opening practice session; Fergusson, Baird, Aitchison, Staring, Clarke, Brookes, O'Halloran, Davies, Seaton, Quinn, Jones, Crowe, Waters, Davies, Cudlin
1013 - 5 minutes left in this Supersport practice session and Fergusson is back on top with a 70.2 while Bairdy is also showing encouraging pace with a 70.5 while Aitchison looking to be strong here with a 70.7. Brendan Clarke also remember his way around well with a 71.1. These times are only early pointers to form as it is early days yet but they are fairly line ball to what was recorded here last year in opening practice. They will drop a couple of seconds this afternoon though no doubt as I expect to see 68s from the Supersport boys if not this afternoon then certainly tomorrow. Truck racing has been on here recently though so it will be interesting to see if the track has degraded much since last year.
1004 - 14 minutes to go in this opening Supersport practice session and Aitchison is on the pace.
0950 - Well here we are live at a very sunny and extremely brown and dry looking Mallala for Friday practice in this fourth round if the YMF Loan sponsored Australian Superbike Championship. The 600cc Supersport machines have just hit the track for their opening practice session and it is Fergusson and O'Halloran topping the charts early on
