1658 - Jamie takes it, the Kawasaki man breaks
through for the win, Giles 2nd, Bugden 3rd, Allerton 4th, Brookes
5th, Fergusson 6th, Henderson 7th, Gobert 8th
- 1657 - Bugden has taken third place from Allerton now but with
two laps to run that fight is probably going to go all the way. I
think Jamie has it for the win unless he makes a mistake or Gilesy
steps things up to another level...
- 1655 - Lapped traffic for the leaders now and it looked as
though Gilesy got held up a little by one of them which gave Jamie a
couple of bike lengths, that could prove vital in the run to the
line and could be just what Jamie needed but I think it is fair to
say that if anyone deserves a little bit of luck it is Jamie as he
certainly hasn't had much go his way this season
- 1654 - Jamie and Shawn have broken away from Allerton to the
tune of two seconds now. Bugden closing on Allerton...
- 1652 - Hendo trying to take 7th place from Anthony Gobert.
He did exactly that with a hugely sideways move under brakes at the
end of the back straight but then nearly loses the rear on the way
out of the next turn which allows Anthony to get back up on him but
Hendo gets him again at the next turn, the pair having some serious
fun and games.
- 1651 - Bugden has got 4th from Brookes. Jamie still leading
Giles and Allerton but Bugden the fastest man on the track on that
last lap which was the fastest lap of the race thus far but he is a
couple of seconds behind the leading trio. 6 laps to run
- 1650 - Bugden is now all over Brookes and challenging for 4th.
- 1648 - Jamie torturing his Michelin rear out of some of the
turns while Giles seems to be getting better drive but it didn't
seem to make much difference as Jamie was still getting enough grip
to stay there and then made his move with 8 laps to go to take his
turn up front. Giles getting quite sideways under brakes while
Jamie getting a little sideways on the power
- 1647 - The leading duo have all put in 1m10.7s laps so far in
this race and the top three are still covered by only a second
- 1645 - Giles just managing to stay ahead of Jamie but the
Kawasaki man looks determined and doesn't look as though he wants to
settle for 2nd place. Allerton still with them only a couple of
lengths behind while Brookes is 1.5 seconds further behind in 4th
place ahead of his team-mate Adam Fergusson who is being hassled by
Bugden and Gobert
- 1643 - On the second lap Fergusson ran very wide in the right
hander after the end of the back straight to lose a lot of time
while up front Jamie Stauffer had promoted himself to second place
after getting the better of Allerton, Giles still in front but Jamie
looking for a way through...
- 1641 - Away they go for another attempt at getting a clean race
and this time around it is Allerton from Giles and Jamie Stauffer
but Giles takes the lead up the inside at the end of the back
straight, Brookes 4th, Fergusson 5th
- 1637 - The clean up effort has been completed and sanity has
prevailed with it now being called a complete re-start but we have a
reduced distance of 14 laps from the originally scheduled 16 lap
duration. Riders on the grid now and will be off for their warm up
lap shortly
- 1615 - Superbikes got away for their final encounter for the day
with Jamie Stauffer leading from Giles and Allerton while Anthony
Gobert had got up to 4th place after a great start but was then
eclipsed by Fergusson and Bugden around the back of the circuit. As
they started lap two it was Jamie still in front by 4-tenths over
Giles who in turn had half a second on Allerton. Bugden had got the
better of Brookes for 4th place and that pair were being followed by
Fergusson, Gobert and Holland. Jamie Stauffer nearly got highsided
late on the third lap and Charlton visited the dirt and then the red
flag came out, possibly due to the chance of an oil down. So with
all riders completing two laps and many already crossed the line to
start their 3rd lap it was called that it would be a two part race
with the first two laps combined with a latter 14 lap re-start in
order to decide the final result in this second Superbike race.
- 1600 - Superbikes are out shortly for their second and final
race for the day

- 1537 - A couple of riders down on the last lap, Brendan Watson
one of them, all the riders look to be okay. This will cause us some
delay though I think as some of the bikes may have dropped some
fluids... Just what you want before going out on your Superbike as
that's what is up next
- 1535 - A couple of laps to run in the final Superstock race and
it is Hay and Figueiredo fighting it out for the win. Henry 3rd from
Watson but that's a tight fight also...

- 1456 - Supersport Race Two Results - Clarke, Waters, Brookes,
Aitchison, Fergusson, Seaton, Staring, O'Halloran, Jones, Coote,
Davies, Curran, Stalder, Crowe. The top three all set their fastest
laps of the race on the last lap such was the heat of the battle.
Brookes the fastest time with a 1m13.155
- 1455 - Still Clarke and Waters up front with a small gap now
over 3rd placed Brookes who is still getting monstered by Aitchison.
Seaton all over Fergusson challenging for 5th
- 1451 - Seaton takes 6th from Staring with 5 laps to run, still
Clarke out in front and only a second covers the leading quartet
- 1449 - Still Clarke from Waters, Brookes and Aitchison but still
nothing in it. Fergusson managing to hold off Staring for now to
retain 5th, Seaton right with him also and looking for a way past
Staring in order to make his own challenge for that 5th spot
- 1447 - Looks like only a matter of time before Staring and also
possibly Seaton push Fergusson further down the order, Staring
nearly running up the back at him through some of the turns
- 1446 - Clarke got the lead from Waters who then started to come
under immediate further attack from Brookes who also still had
Aitchison right up his tailpipe, the battle for 2nd helping Clarke
somewhat as he has clear air and can run his own lines while the
others trip each other up at every turn. The top four still only
separated by 7-tenths of a seconds though
- 1444 - Supersports are away and it's Josh Waters from Josh
Brookes and Adam Fergusson at the end of lap one with Mark Aitchison
also right there and threatening as is Clarke. On the second lap
Clarke got Aitchison for 4th place. Staring running 6th just ahead
of Chris Seaton and Jordan Coote. Clarke then went up the inside of
Fergusson at the end of the back straight on the next lap. Aitchison
also then started to threaten Fergusson and Clarke latched on to the
back of Brookes to start threatening for 2nd place. Bryan Staring
was the fastest man on the 4th lap with a 1m13.7 to pull a couple of
tenths back on Fergusson who had been surpassed by Aitchison earlier
on that lap. Clarke then moved past Brookes for 2nd place with 11
laps to run while Staring and Seaton started to climb all over the
back of Fergusson to challenge for 5th and Aitchison put in a new
fastest lap of the race with 10 laps to go to make it only half a
second covering the top four riders.

- 1423 - Leigh-Smith takes the win by 5 seconds from Galvin,
Thompson 3rd, Campbell 4th, Hatton 5th, Esler 6th. Galvin
still leads the points race with 335 points from Thompson on 231 and
Rigoli on 202
- 1418 - Blake Leigh-Smith just did a 1m18.5 to extend his lead to
2.7 seconds. Thompson up to 3rd
- 1417 - Smith now has more than a full second over Galvin. Cath
Thompson trying to take 3rd spot from Paul Campbell
- 1415 - Smith not getting too far away from Galvin in this one,
the gap is a little over half a second with 5 laps to run with both
men running 1m19.3s, Campbell up to 3rd, Thompson 4th, Hatton 5th,
Esler 6th
- 1413 -

- 1409 - 125 GP out next

threw away his third place on the final lap promoting Van Rooyen
into 3rd place, Anderson 4th
- 1351 - Last Nakedbike race on now and it is a close thing
between Rattenbury and Cartwright then 7 seconds back to third place
Hoare with 4 laps to run
- 1317 - The hot Porsche versus Robbie Bugden on a standard R1 hot
lap challenge just ended with Bugden and the R1 taking the win by
3.8 seconds over the two laps. Robbie's best lap was a 1m16.2 while
Luff in the souped up Porsche managed a best of 1m17.8

- 1242 - Updated Superbike Points - Giles 219, Brookes 215,
Fergusson 211, Jamie Stauffer 166
- 1239 - Superbike Race One Results - Allerton, Giles, Fergusson,
Bugden, J Stauffer, Brookes, Gobert, Henderson, Geronomi, Holland
- 1238 - Last lap board and on combined time it is Allerton,
Giles, Fergusson, Bugden, Jamie Stauffer now back to 5th in the
traffic, Brookes 6th, Gobert 7th, Henderson 8th... Looks like
it is going to be a Suzuki 1-2 and we will have one very pissed off
Jamie Stauffer
- 1237 - On combined time it is Allerton leading from Giles by 1.3
seconds and even with Jamie losing an incredible amount of time with
his dirt excursion his performance in the early part of the race
means he is still in fourth place and only a tenth behind Fergusson
on combined time so still in with a chance of a podium
- 1235 - Giles challenging Allerton for the lead on track, nearly
took him out in fact at the penultimate turn but held it upright and
took the lead, Bugden in front of Fergusson on the track but not on
combined time. Jamie Stauffer runs off, he had a moment with
Allerton where he got pushed off the line. Disaster for the Kawasaki
man who can't take a trick this year, must have broken too many
mirrors or walked under too many ladders
- 1234 - Allerton leading on track from Giles and Jamie Stauffer
but remember Jamie has a clear lead on the combined times
- 1233 - Coming around to grid up now for the re-start. As to the
schedule, we had actually got ahead so things are still on track
- 1226 - Before the flag came out Jamie had 1.4 seconds on
Allerton who in turn had 1.6 seconds on Giles while Fergusson was a
further 3 seconds down in 4th place. Brookes had got the better of
Bugden and Gobert had got back in front of Hendo. Standby for the
riders to head out again for the restart. Organisers really
didn't need this delay today as they are on a very tight schedule
- 1221 - 5 laps to run but I must say the order looks set to
possibly stay the same unless someone makes a mistake and that order
is Jamie, Glenn and Shawn. Red Flag is out due to a fallen rider and
bike, the rider crawled away but the bike is in a dangerous spot so
caution was the order of the day, just under 75% of the race has
been completed which means this will be a two-part race. So hold you
horses on that previous comment, we will be up for a re-start which
means anything can happen. The fallen rider was Justin
Millington
- 1219 - Giles lost some ground on Allerton on that lap, possibly
because of an issue trying to get past Stauffer who is out doing
some testing in an effort to find the problem with his R1 that put
him out of the race early on
- 1217 - 8 laps to run and still Jamie leading the way by a second
and the two Suzuki men running 2nd and 3rd, Fergusson doesn't look
as though he will challenge for a podium. Dan Stauffer has gone back
out on track in a quest to sort his R1 but has no chance of scoring
points
- 1215 - Jamie Stauffer with a 1 second lead over Allerton who in
turn has 8-tenths on Giles who in turn has 2 full seconds on
Fergusson now. Brookes all over the back of Bugden and trying to
take 5th place. Henderson has got past Gobert for 7th
- 1214 - Superbikes are away and it is Jamie Stauffer in the lead
from Glenn Allerton and Shawn Giles then it is Adam Fergusson,
Russell Holland, Anthony Gobert, Nick Henderson and Dan Stauffer
rounds out the top eight at the end of the first lap while Brookes
languishes in 11th after a shocker of a start to this encounter.
Jamie looking strong and no real challenges for position happening
up front as they move into lap two and Jamie has pulled nearly a
second over his pursuers after putting in a 1m10.312 on his first
flying lap for a new lap record, already faster than we saw in
qualifying as the conditions are much better today. Dan Stauffer
just came into the pits to retire after suffering some sort of
mechanical failure. Adam Fergusson starting to get into gear now and
closing a little on third placed Giles. The top four are stretching
away while Bugden has got into fifth place ahead of Gobert while
Brookes has promoted himself up to 7th ahead of Nick Henderson with
11 laps to run.
- 1213 - Just had some connection problems
- 1203 - Superbikes on the grid and getting ready for their warm
up lap
- 1200 - 28 year-old British rider, Shane Byrne will ride Troy
Bayliss’s yellow Honda in the next two rounds of the World
Championship, at Sepang and Doha. As the team await the return of
Troy Bayliss, and after this weekend’s appearance of HRC’s official
rider Tohru Ukawa, it will be the young Englishman, who is in his
second year of MotoGP, who will ride in Camel Honda team colours for
the next two events. “To ride one of the Camel Honda team’s bikes is
a massive opportunity which makes me very proud indeed, and I will
give everything to show my true potential. I will meet up with the
team on Tuesday in Sepang, a track I know quite well after having
tested there a few times. I haven’t ever ridden in Qatar so I’ll
have to try and get a good feel for the track early on there.”

- 1102 - Clarke said that he struggles with top speed compared to
some of the factory backed bikes so he had spent all of practice and
qualifying concentrating on getting the best out of the suspension
and also complained of a little arm pump
- 1101 - Waters also complained of arm pump with the repeated hard
braking here at Queensland Raceway and said that rather risk losing
a podium place he would settle for second place.
- 1100 - In the post race press conference Brookesy complained of
arm pump causing him some problems, something he thought he had got
rid of earlier in the year but returned in that race.
- 1058 -
Provisional Results from Australian Supersport Race One
- 1057 - I don't think so it looks as though Waters has it, Clarke
second and Brookes hangs on to that third spot, Aitchison gets 4th,
Fergusson 5th, Staring 6th, and Jones gets 7th off Seaton by an inch
- 1056 - Clarke has responded, last lap board is out and he has
stretched his lead back out to half a second, Waters will not give
up though... Will Aitchison let it all hang out in attempt to steal
that last podium step from Brookes...
- 1055 - Waters within striking distance of Clarke now
- 1054 - Aitchison catching Brookes and good push the Honda man
off the podium... If so that will be the first time for a long while
that no Honda has been on the podium at an Australian Supersport
race...
- 1053 - Clarke will know now that Waters is close enough to
perhaps mount a challenge before this race is out, can he respond...
- 1052 - Waters Michelins are certainly hanging in better than the
Honda men by the look of it as with 4 laps to run he just put in the
fastest lap of the race with a 1m13.1 and is inching closer to
Clarke, it's not over yet by any stretch, the top two
have dropped Brookes off the back of them now by more than a second.
- 1051 - The top five covered by 2 seconds still.... Staring,
Jones and Seaton still 6th, 7th and 8th respectively
- 1050 - Clarke leads now by more than half a second and Waters
all over the back of Brookes...alongside into the final turn and
takes second place, both those men on Michelins. Aitchison in 4th
still ahead of Fergusson
- 1049 - Clarke up the inside at the end of the back straight for
the lead, not only that, he is starting to pull away almost
immediately. Clarke on Dunlops and maybe has made a better
tyre choice and the Michelin men are losing grip as the laps wind
down...
- 1048 - Clarke up the inside of Waters for second place in to the
middle double apex right and latches on to the tailpipe of Brookes,
alongside down the straight but Brookes keeps him out into turn
one...
- 1047 - Clarke right up to Waters and Brookes now, the battle for
the lead is going to be a 3-way affair now as Clarke the only man in
the 1m13s on that lap as the pace slackens a little... 8 laps to run
- 1046 - Clarke the fastest man on that lap with a 1m13.5.
Waters less than 2-tenths off Brookes and then only half a second to
Clarke. Aitchison and Fergusson trading places at nearly every turn
on this lap now
- 1045 - Waters right up to Brookes again now and it looks as
though Clarke may be catching them...
- 1044 - Clarke gets Fergusson for third place, Krusty may have a
slight problem as he has lost a little place. Brookesy responding to
the challenge from Waters to stretch his lead back out to 4-tenths.
Aitchison attacking Fergusson
- 1043 - Waters stepping it up now and right on the back of
Brookes. Fergusson coming under attack from Clarke and
Aitchison it looks as though it will be Brookes and Waters fighting
it out for the top step on the podium
- 1042 - The top five starting to break away a little from
Staring, Jones and Seaton now, only 1.3 seconds covers the top five
with 12 to go
- 1041 - Still no trading of places as yet but the most likely
move to happen on this lap will be Aitchison trying to get the
better of Clarke for 4th and he looks to have the pace to do it
- 1039 - Still Brookes, Waters, Fergusson, Clarke, Aitchison,
Staring, Jones and Seaton and nobody looks able to break away as
they remain fairly close with the top six all in the 1m13s bracket
and only 2 seconds covering the top eight with 14 laps to run
- 1038 - Brendan Clarke in 4th, Aitchison 5th, Staring 6th
- 1037 - Away they go! And it is Josh Brookes that leads
them through turn one as Josh Waters squeezed inside Adam Fergusson
for second place and managed to keep that position through turn 2
and down the back straight
- 1036 - Supersport men on their warm up lap now
- 1035 -
125 GP Race Two Full Results
- 1031 - In the post race interviews Galvin complained of a bit of
a misfire through the turns from his machine but it had looked to be
pulling well at the top end as for top speed it had looked as though
he had the wood on Smith but it was indeed clear that Smith's
machine was grunting off the turns better which with a view to
Galvin's misfire problems certainly rings true. Baby faced Smith was
stoked with his win as this weekend they are ironing the bugs out of
a new 2005 model Honda 125 GP machine in preparation for his
wildcard entry in the 125cc class at the Phillip Island MotoGP
rounds.

Nakedbike Race Two Full Results -
- 1027 - Leigh-Smith ran away with that one and Paul Campbell came
from behind to take a great second place from Peter Galvin while Tom
Hatton got pushed off the podium in the latter laps but beat Cath
Thompson for fourth place.
- 1020 - An absolute cracker of a 125 GP race unfolding, young
Blake Leigh-Smith in a class of his own here today but the battle
for 2nd is awesome with Hatton, Galvin and Thompson trading places
at every turn with Campbell and Bell right there also
- 1014 - Cartwright took out the Nakedbike race from Rattenbury
and Hoare, the 125 GP men just left the line and it is Blake
Leigh-Smith leading the way again from Galvin and this time WA
youngster Tom Hatton is off to a good run and is in third place just
ahead of Cath Thompson as they come around to complete the first lap
- 1005 - A beautiful day at Queensland Raceway today after some
mixed conditions earlier this weekend the clouds have blown away and
the wind has dropped right off which means we should be in for a
good crowd here today. The first race of the day is the
Nakedbike second encounter for the weekend and Jon Cartwright is
running away with it. Earlier we had a
