Angela:  How did that feel coming in 1^st in front of the yanks this time ?

BENNETT :  Yeah, it felt real good….I kind of hoped we could do it if we got the start and get away from them and  hopefully hold em out. But yeah everything went well.   You had to be fairly aggressive in the 1^st turn, but everyone's struggling at the moment for rear tyre grip, so we’ll have to wait and see how the rest of the day pans out

Angela : Your coming off the dirt section nicely Stu

BENNETT :  Yeah the dirt’s good, I feel very comfortable in the dirt.  The Americans aren't grooving their tires up so, maybe the few grooves I have might  be working a little bit better…I don’t know

Angela : Do you think that’s the key to be able keep Micky in 2^nd  (Dymond right beside us, everyone laughing)

BENNETT :  I hope so…it will depend on how he gets off the line.  If he gets in front off the start it’s going to be hard to get past him, it’s not an easy place to pass.  You’ve either got to be very ruthless and have no friends or hope he makes a mistake.

Angela : He not looking real happy with  2^nd  

BENNETT :  No he didn't come over here to come 2^nd …..none of us do.  We all like winning, so yeah,…winner’s are grinners and the rest can choose themselves, so hopefully we can grin a bit more.

Angela : Are you enjoying the stiffer competition 

BENNETT : It’s good having these guys here as a benchmark……we now know how fast we have to go.  Shannon Johnson stepped it up this year in the Aus. Champs and now these guys are here taking us to another level.  Although we’ve had a bit of practice round this circuit the opposite direction…  I think we’re going really well.

Angela :  Good luck in the final.  Come on Aussie !
