During the practices Casey Stoner showed his potential once again and in the warm up session the Australian riders set a good pace. This week end was simply perfect for Casey who made a prefect start and leaded the race till the last lap.

This is a great day for Aprilia also with 4 Italian bikes on the first four positions of the Malaysian GP. Thanks to this fantastic victory and Pedrosa’s crash in the first laps Casey reduced the gap on the Spanish leader of the world standing (226 points) and he is still second with 188 points. This a special day for Dunlop also which celebrate 150 consecutive victories in 250 class. Good performance also for Roberto Locatelli who finished the race in 8th position.

Casey Stoner - 1st - “I could not be any happier today because the race was perfect. For the whole week the team have done a great job. We made a few errors in practice but we quickly realized what these were and this enabled us to have a really good setting for the race. I made without a doubt my best start of the year and gained the lead early and I pushed very hard for the first five laps to break the other riders. Then I eased off and followed my pit board. I really want to thank my Team especially my Chief Mechanic Pietro. Now we want to continue this form and keep putting the pressure on Pedrosa”.

Roberto Locatelli - 8th - “Since the start of the race I had a lot of problems because the bike was sliding to much. Anyway I feel quite happy because I made a positive result. I will try to do my best to end this season in the best way improving my results race by race”.
