Unedited notes from our live reporting - Start from the bottom and read up

  • 1641 - That's it, done and dusted, on combined time it is Suzuki 1-2 once again... Neukirchner 3rd overall, Vermeulen 4th, Nieto 5th, Corradi 6th, Laconi salvages 7th, Abe 8th, Bussei 9th, Sanchini 10th
  • 1640 - Final lap now and Kagayama lead Corser on the track by three seconds but Corser still has 7 seconds on him on aggregate time and is taking that in to account
  • 1638 - Kagayama on Corser again and goes through on the run down towards Honda Corner, Corser lets him through as he knows he has 10 seconds in hand over his team mate on the combined aggregate times
  • 1637 - Corser responds though and opens the gap up a little once again, two laps to run
  • 1635 - Kagayama closing back up on to Corser with a few laps to run but the actual gap between the two on aggregate time is over 10 seconds so Corser can afford to let him through if he doesn't want to fight for position
  • 1633 - Laconi lost the rear and hung on for dear life forever before the bike finally pitched him into the dirt, unbelievable, then he jumps up and picks it up and goes straight back on the track and is knee down on the wet track two corners later, dirty tyres and all
  • 1632 - And Kagayama does exactly that to move up to 2nd overall on combined times to make it Suzuki 1-2 both on track and on the aggregate timing.
  • 1631 - Corser squeezes past Kagayama to take the lead on the track and extend his lead over Laconi to 8.4 seconds on aggregate time. Kagayama needs to pull another 6-tenths out of Laconi in order to move up to 2nd place on aggregate time. Laconi running 4th on track
  • 1630 - Back to situation normal now, Suzuki 1-2 on the track.
  • 1629 - Chris Walker in to the lead on the track which promotes him up to 5th on aggregate time but just as he got there he started to pull away before ending up in the kitty litter. He will be kicking himself
  • 1628 - Corser up to 3rd on track now after dispensing with Neukirchner and putting down a 1m49.5 to make his lead on aggregate 6.1 seconds
  • 1626 - Corser now picking up the pace, the fastest man on that lap and 4th on track with an extended 5.2 second lead on Laconi on aggregate time. Steve Martin down but walks away okay.
  • 1624 - Chris Walker stalking Yukio Kagayama now and looking to be determined to make this wet half the race his.  Corser is 5th on track but still leads from Laconi on aggregate time as his main foe from the first half of this race is still behind him on track so his actual lead is 4.5 seconds on Laconi and Neukirchner third on the combined times and also third on the track.  Noriyuki Haga down in the same spot at Pitt and McCoy tumbled out the lap before
  • 1622 - And they are off again and this time Neukirchner gets a great leave off the line while Andrew Pitt sat still with the rear wheel spinning and lost nearly a dozen places. Chris Walker storming through to 3rd place at turn 2 but it's Yukio Kagayama leading the way as they negotiate the slow turn 4 for the first time.  McCoy downs quite hard,  Pitt goes down at the same corner shortly afterwards. Both okay
  • 1617 - Things nearly ready now for them to get out on their warm up lap. Pitt is going to start on his spare machine and is getting patched up on the grid while he sits on the bike, getting a few little sticky suture type things in a couple of spots and he looks to be squinting a little
  • 1611 - The final Australian Superbike support race will not go ahead
  • 1610 - Riders out on track now and forming up on the grid once again where the tyre warmers will be put on the tyres and everything readied for a restart
  • 1558 - Rain easing now
  • 1554 - Rain really falling here now quite strongly, I don't think it will be around for too long but it is going to drench the track
  • 1552 - The rain is here, drops are falling now. 13 laps down in this 22 lap race, Corser backing it right off and on tenterhooks through turn 2 and 3 with his hand in the air. Pitt is down and sat on the grass, I think he is okay but it was a decent tumble, his bike certainly not capable of making the restart
  • 1551 - Just past the halfway mark now and the gap to Laconi 3.6 seconds and that gap to Neukirchner in 3rd another 3.6 seconds with Pitt only 2-tenths adrift of him. Vermeulen then less than a second further behind in 5th with Kagayama right on his pipe
  • 1549 - McCoy, Walker and Martin having their own battle over 8th position
  • 1548 - Abe also right with Kagayama so sometime soon Pitty can expect to get mugged by that trio unless he can increase his pace a little
  • 1546 - Kagayama running 6th now and right on the tail of Vermeulen.  That pair closing on Andrew Pitt
  • 1545 - Neukirchner takes Andrew Pitt and starts to immediately pull away from the Yamaha man.  Vermeulen is catching Pitt and will be on him within the next few laps.  Laconi still in 2nd but now 3.5 seconds behind Corser
  • 1544 - Chris Vermeulen coming on a bit stronger now to move up to 5th place and trying to close on Neukirchner but the 21 year old German has 2.5 seconds on him and is challenging Andrew Pitt for 3rd place
  • 1543 - 1m34.9 for Corser this time around to make his lead now 3 seconds.  Muggeridge has remounted and rejoined the track.
  • 1542 - Corser 1m35.0 again, how's that for consistency!  The gap now over 2.5 seconds and then another second back to Andrew Pitt in 3rd.  Karl Muggeridge and James Toseland down and out of the race, both up and okay
  • 1540 - And 1m35.0 for Corser again, Laconi a 1m35.4 so that now 2 seconds
  • 1538 - Another 1m35.0 for Corser to Laconi's 1m35.6 stretching his lead out to 1.6 seconds and Andrew Pitt trying to get on terms with Laconi
  • 1536 - Corser now has a full second over Laconi after putting down a 1m35.0 on that lap to Laconi's 1m35.2, Pitt running 3rd and Neukirchner 4th, Kagayama 5th, Abe 6th, Vermeulen 7th, Toseland 8th, Haga 9th, Martin 10th
  • 1534 - Regis Laconi stuffs it under Andrew Pitt for 2nd last on the opening lap to take 2nd place, the Ducati man loves this circuit and it looks as though he is determined to try and spoil Corser's party this time around. Clementi down but okay
  • 1532 - On the grid now.... Away they go and Corser on the inside line for turn 1 with Andrew Pitt and Max Neukirchner, Regis Laconi and Norick Abe. Corser pulling away already as they go around the back of the circuit
  • 1530 - World Superbikes on their warm up lap now
  • 1523 - World Superbike are on the grid but the riders still have their helmets off and tyre warmers on etc. so while we are waiting check out a gallery of images from today's World Supersport Race - Gallery P
  • 1511 - World Superbikes will head out of pit lane shortly to form up on the grid for their teams to put the warmers etc. back on before they then go out on their warm up lap
