  • 1640 - Full Results from Australian Superbike practice today
  • 1620 - Session ended - Jamie on top 1m32.00
  • 1618 - Only 1 minute remaining in this Superbike session... Jamie is still da man
  • 1617 - More Results - Pro Twins QP1
  • 1615 - Krusty down to 1m33.0 now but hasn't cracked the 1m32s yet...
  • 1610 - Less than ten minutes remaining now and Jamie still looking nearly untouchable.. Holland still second with that 1m32.77, Giles 3rd on 1m33.17, Fergusson 4th (1m33.3), Allerton 5th (1m33.3), Dan Stauffer (1m33.9), Shannon Johnson (1m33.9) and Robbie Bugden also on 1m33.9
  • 1605 - Jamie down to 1m32.00 now but Holland also in the 1m32s now with a 1m32.77
  • 1601 - 17 minutes remaining in this session and still nobody looking likely to get near Jamie... Let's hope the other boys start getting serious soon...
  • 1558 - Riders heading back out now
  • 1557 - It seems though the red flag was out due to somebody stopped on the circuit and nothing to worry about
  • 1554 - Red flag has gone out to put a temporary halt to the session
  • 1550 - Jamie just lowered the mark further though.... 1m32.43 for the Yamaha man...  The dominance we saw at Phillip Island earlier this year could continue
  • 1549 - Jamie, Russell, Adam, Glenn, Shannon and Shawn already in the 1m33s bracket only a couple of minutes into the session
  • 1547 - Just had a quick word with Shannon Johnson before he headed out for this second Superbike practice session.  He only did 3 laps on his 'A' bike this morning and then spent the rest of the session lapping on the 'B' bike to run it and check everything over should anything unforeseen happen to his 'A' bike.  His 'A' bike now has a fair bit more power with the engine given a thorough work over and he said that has changed the way it handles quite a lot so this afternoon he will aim to get that all sorted.  He said they are not worried at all as they did flat 33s here during a recent test. Shannon is riding the Kawasaki Racing Team ZX-10R this year.
  • 1542 - Pro Twin first qualifying has McMartin quickest on 1m37.5 but it looks as though he might have some competition now... Mick Kelly has put his 749R down into the 1m37s also. Then the next best is Roland Kruck on 1m40.0.  Mick Kelly might not race in Pro Twins though and just his entry in that class as extra practice for his Supersport entry
  • 1533 - Superbikes are up next
  • 1527 - More Results - 125 GP QP1
  • 1525 - Pro Twins out for their first qualifier now and it is McMartin the early quick man down to 1m38.4
  • 1512 - 125 GP first qualifying session winding down... Blake Leigh-Smith on the top of the charts with a couple of minutes remaining, 1m40.32 his time which makes him a full second ahead of Brent Rigoli and Rhys Moller
  • 1510 - More Results - - Superstock QP1 - Nakedbike QP1 - Supersport FP2
  • 1450 - Session just finished and it is Jamie Stauffer quickest 600cc man for the day with a 1m34.58, team-mate Aitchison second on 1m34.78 and Jason O'Halloran makes it a Yamaha 1-2-3 with a 1m35.38.  Glenn Allerton was the first non Yamaha with a 1m36.351 followed by Joe Rocket Honda team mate Adam Fergusson on a 1m36.43...  Got a lot of progress to make if they are going to catch the Yamahaha boys tomorrow...
  • 1443 - The boys have stepped it up with five minutes to run, Jamie down to 1m34.6, Aitchison 1m34.7, O'Halloran next best with 1m35.7 then it is Allerton, Crowe, Geronomi, Waters and Davies
  • 1435 - Still Jamie and Mark together at the top of the timesheets with 12 minutes to run, Allerton is 3rd, Geronomi 4th, Davis 5th, Fergusson 6th, O'Halloran 7th and Waters 8th
  • 1427 - With 20 minutes to run it is Jamie Stauffer on top with a 1m35.0 with team-mate Mark Aitchison just a tenth behind
  • 1423 - Some small areas of the track have been recently resurfaced.  Over the hill is much smoother according to the riders but turn five has also had some work done and the riders now have a small lip where the surface changes in turn five, and of course it is right in the apex of the turn...
  • 1421 - Supersport bikes on track now for their second practice session. Conditions are fine.
  • 1411 - The next session has been delayed due to an oil down that requires clean up
  • 1353 - Cartwright quickest now, 1m39.30
  • 1349 - Nakedbikes on track now and it is Wilshaw ahead of Cartwright.  Wilshaw has the K1200R BMW down to 1m40.62 with 12 minutes remaining in the session
  • 1345 - Nakedbikes out next for their first qualifier then it is the second Supersport practice session of the day
  • 1342 - Superstock first qualifying just wrapped up with Andrews on provisional pole with a 1m40.17 ahead of Chris Trounson on 1m40.5. Then it is Quinn, Kokshoorn, Henry, Higgins, McConnell, Corcoran, Parry and Mortel

  • 1221 - FX Cup practice winding up now with Fraser on top from Barnes.  Superbikes are up next
  • 1152 - If you missed the news item in late braking today... Suzuki's Australian Superbike team is now known as Yoshimura Suzuki after a tie up with Yoshimura through Mat Mladin Imports. So effectively, Mat Mladin imports through the products they distribute in Australia, are the major sponsors of both the Honda and Suzuki Superbike squads this year.
  • 1145 - Pro Twins First Practice - Sidecars on track now
  • 1143 - News - Westy's machine could manage only 230kph down the chute yesterday at Qatar. His team mate Dirk Heidolf recorded 256kph and fastest man Barbera hit 267kph. Thus Westy only recorded 7 laps as the team tried to find the problem which they believe is electrical
