Unedited notes from live text update page on Sunday

  • 1725 - We will have to shut this page here as we have a plane to catch, sorry for the early termination, but have to run.  Catchya next time!
  • 1655 - Jamie takes a perfect 51 points for the round and this being the first round of course leads the series
  • 1653 - Jamie celebrates the win with a stylish mono, Holland a brilliant second place and Shannon takes third for Kawasaki.  Giles fourth, Dan Stauffer fifth, Robbie Bugden sixth, Stroud seventh, Etheridge eighth
  • 1652 - Last lap board and it is Jamie by 2.9 seconds and Holland now has nearly two second on Johnson, the Kawasaki man has a clear buffer over fourth placed Giles however and is probably now just making sure he brings home a safe podium and the nice swag of points that brings...
  • 1651 - Jamie just ran a little wide... But gathered it up okay and looks safe...
  • 1650 - Holland has got through on Johnson for that second place now and has pulled away... Jamie has 3.8 seconds on him and only two laps to run I think the podium is pretty much set at Jamie, Russell, Shannon...  But of course anything could happen yet.....
  • 1646 - Five laps to run and it is Jamie, Johnson, Holland, Giles, Dan, Bugden, Stroud, Etheridge
  • 1644 - Jamie has backed it off a little and is managing his lead at around 2.8 seconds while Holland continues to try and steal second place from Johnson.  Giles is a few seconds further behind now in fourth but with a big bugger over sixth placed Daniel Stauffer how is being hassled by Robert Bugden
  • 1643 - Holland showing Johnson a wheel, he tried a move though and lost ground when he had to pull out of it.... Could be the difference between getting that second place or not.... He has 7 laps to do it though and looks to have the pace, but does he have the racecraft to get past wily Johnson?
  • 1642 - Pro Open Motocross Overall - 1.Reardon, 2.Hurley, 3.Ando
  • 1641 - Holland was definitely being held up by Gilesy... He has streaked away and jut put in a 1m31.8, the second fastest man in this race now... And has his sights on Johnson...
  • 1639 - Jamie leads now by 2.1 seconds, only disaster can stop him from clean sweeping this event.. Shannon now has a full second on Gilesy and looking safe for second.... Hold that.... Holland has got past Giles.... He could have the pace to catch Johnson perhaps...?
  • 1638 - Shannon immediately gapping Giles and Holland.... Holland could be getting held up by Gilesy...
  • 1637 - Jamie did a 1m31.6 on that last lap to stretch his advantage out to nearly a second and helping that cause further is the intense battle for second place between Giles, Holland and Johnson,  they trio rubbing paint through turn one.... Now it is Johnson up to second on the Kawasaki
  • 1636 - Shannon Johnson pressuring Holland now and likewise Holland all over the back of Giles... Allerton down, he went down softly and is up fine but that tops off a thoroughly disappointing day for the Joe Rocket Honda squad
  • 1635 - Jamie only has 2-tenths on Giles, Holland a similar distance behind in third
  • 1633 - Jamie away in front again... Gilesy up in second, Holland third, Johnson fourth
  • 1632 - Warm up lap coming to a close now...
  • 1629 - Pro Open Race Two - 1.Hurley, 2.Reardon, 3.Ando
  • 1627 - Final Superbike race for the day up next!
  • 1618 - Pro Twins final race for the day - 1.Kruck, 2.McMartin, 3.Butler, 4.Roe
  • 1616 - Points - Superstock
  • 1615 - Pro Twins final encounter on now and it is McMartin fighting it out with Kruck for the win
  • 1614 - Points - Nakedbike - Supersport -
  • 1551 - Blake Leigh-Smith in the pits for some reason, the battle for the win being fought out between Galvin, Inkster and Thompson with Moller and Rigoli not far behind
  • 1548 - Some dodgy tactics in this 125 encounter, didn't catch race number but in the midfield one rider held a rider out on the outside and then put his elbow right out and forced the other rider on to the grass and he simply had to try and wash speed off grass tracking effectively putting an end to any chance of a half decent result... Might be some discussions in the pits afterwards...
  • 1546 - 125 GP race three up next, reduced to 6 laps
  • 1545 - Pro Lites overall, 1.Taylor, 2.Mackie, 3.Dorron
  • 1539 - Jamie takes the win to continue his perfect record in 2006, can he do it again in the final Superbike race?

  • 1520 - Aitchison leading the way early on this time around from Josh Waters and Jamie Stauffer.  Jamie quickly through on Josh and out after his team-mate
  • 1519 - Forming up on the grid now and ready for a race start
  • 1517 - Supersport men on their warm up lap now
  • 1512 - The Supersport race has been reduced to 12 laps and is up next
  • 1511 - Cartwright takes the win by 5 seconds over Rattenbury while James Van Rooyen took third place a further 12 seconds back.
  • 1509 - Cartwright has pulled away now to the tune of 4.4 seconds over Rattenbury. Robbie Phillis leads the Forgotten era sub class
  • 1504 - Cartwright leads by two-tenths over Rattenbury
  • 1502 - The Nakedbike race has been reduced to five laps in order to try and make up some time on the schedule
  • 1501 - Nakedbike and Forgotten Era out next followed by Supersport
  • 1500 - Superstock Race Three Results
  • 1454 - Quinn takes the win, Kokshoorn second on the track but they may change with a penalty, Andrews third and Trounson fourth
  • 1451 - Quinn leading the way now with Kokshoorn and Trounson in pursuit, believe Kokshoorn may have jumped the start and scored a ten second penalty
  • 1447 - Kokshoorn the early leader this time around with Trounson and Quinn in pursuit
  • 1445 - Superstockers away again for this shortened five lap race
  • 1435 - Track still being cleaned up but hopefully we can get underway shortly
  • 1431 - Krusty is still at hospital waiting on some scans.  He has been pushed down the order or importance a little after they had some emergencies come in but is safe and well, they just need some more x-rays and scans to ensure everything is okay
  • 1427 - The re-start will be a five lap race... We still have eight races to get through this afternoon and we probably have around three hours of daylight left for racing so I think we might see a little rejigging of the program so we can ensure the Supersport and Superbike races run and won...  Although on Jamie Stauffer's form I think some teams might prefer not to run them rather than let the Yamaha man run away with a full swag of points as it would be a daring man to bet against that scenario unfolding
  • 1418 - Trounson led them away again in this bout with Anton Kokshoorn in tow but then the red flag out came out as a number of riders went down, suspected oil on the track.  We really didn't need another delay but it can't be helped
  • 1412 - Final Superstock race of the weekend up next
  • 1411 - The pit walk for the punters with machines out on display just wrapped up, good turnout for that and a good thing for the spectators to enjoy
  • 1344 - I am guessing that we must be around a full hour behind schedule
  • 1342 - Jamie takes the win from Holland, Johnson, Giles, Allerton, Dan Stauffer, Maxwell, Charlton, Stroud and Elliott rounded out the top ten
  • 1338 - Nothing much changing up front
  • 1335 - Jamie now has two seconds on Holland
  • 1331 - Shawn Giles is running fourth and Glenn Allerton is trying to chase him down but the Honda man looks to have very little grip, sideways and sideways out the order of the day
  • 1330 - Jamie has managed to pull away from Holland now but the Pirelli shod Honda man looks fairly safe for second place unless Shannon Johnson can pull something out of his hat on the Kawasaki
  • 1329 - Bugden sticks his hand up with machine problems...
  • 1327 - Maxwell, Bugden and Dan Stauffer having a good tussle over the lower positions
  • 1325 - Holland trying to stay with Jamie.  Shannon Johnson still third and not losing any more ground.  Shawn Giles trying to catch Johnson but not making any significant inroads...
  • 1323 - Jamie Stauffer and Russell Holland pulling away from Shannon Johnson a little now, don't think any of the Honda or Suzuki men are going to figure in any fight for the win in this one
  • 1321 - Superbikes are away again for their second attempt at running this race.. Jamie again from Russell Holland this time around with Shannon Johnson in third
  • 1310 - So we will have another delay.... Hopefully it is cleared quickly and we can get the show back on the road... Believe the faller was Etheridge but he is fine
  • 1309 - Red flag is out, presumably due to the machine still being on the track from that early fall
  • 1307 - Superbikes away, Shannon Etheridge got a great start, not sure if it was too good a start... Jamie leading them around from Shawn and Russell.  A faller a turn 7, he got up okay, possibly Bugden or Etheridge but not sure...  Dan Stauffer a big mover, up to fourth from the third row...
  • 1306 - Superbikes forming up on the grid now again after a warm up trot around the Eastern Creek circuit
  • 1303 - A fine day with very little breeze here at Eastern Creek.  A reasonable crowd for a Sydney round, which traditionally see poor attendances, but today is one of the better crowds in recent years
  • 1300 - We are running a fair bit behind schedule now but the Superbikes are on the grid.  Still a while before they set out on their warm up lap and then the race start though
  • 1248 - Pro Lites Motocross Race 1 from Gillman (SA) - 1.Taylor 2.Mackie 3.Metcalfe
  • 1231 - FX Cup race has been called, a bit of a delay then we will see the Superbikes on track
  • 1227 - Racesafe Commodore doing a great rate of knots down the straight to get on the scene and provide assistance - Red flag out
  • 1226 - A couple of heavy falls again in this race and I think it likely we will be having the red flag out again shortly
  • 1221 - Hold that, we had a red flag in the FX Cup race and that has to have a re start before the Superbikes get underway
  • 1217 - Superbikes are up next
  • 1159 - FX Cup race for C & D graded riders is up next, then it is the big boys of Superbike out on track.
  • 1157 - Krusty is having some x-rays at hospital now and his pain is subsiding somewhat which is encouraging
  • 1151 - Pro Lites motocross qualifying from Gillman (SA) - 1.Taylor 2.Macdermid 3.Holland
  • 1148 - Soutar and Rowe took out the sidecar race from Stacey Sellar and Kerry McLeod with Adam Treasure and Lionel Cornwell round out the podium
  • 1140 - Pro Open motocross qualifying at Gillman in Adelaide - 1.Cooper 2.Reardon 3.Anderson
  • 1133 - Sidecars heading out on their warm up lap now
  • 1125 - Roland Kruck took out the Pro Twins race from Craig McMartin and David Butler. Sidecars up next
  • 1110 - Pro Twins on their warm up lap now
  • 1057 - Supersport Race 1 full combined results
  • 1055 - Blake Leigh-Smith the race leader now and has built a gap over Galvin
  • 1050 - Galvin in front at this early stage but coming under attack from young Blake Leigh-Smith
  • 1049 - 125 GP race two underway now
  • 1048 - Just went down and had a quick word with the Honda boys about Krusty.  Seems he copped a blow to the back and he has been sent off to hospital as a precautionary measure to check that everything is okay
  • 1039 - Combined provisional race results

  • 1033 - Mick Kelly figuring highly at the re-start this time around and up with the front pack
  • 1030 - They are away now for the four lap re-start and again it is Jamie and Jason leading them away
  • 1016 - Greedy lost the rear when quite a decent distant out of turn nine, not sure if he hit something slick but it looked a little strange, Judd then bounced out of the way but Krusty couldn't avoid his bike and hit the bike, stayed on for a little while but eventually was ejected and went down pretty hard on his hip and tumbled a fair bit but didn't seem to receive any major impact but as we have seen before how impacts look can be very different to how they feel.  He never lost consciousness though by the look of it and looked to be in pain and very winded. More updates as they come to hand but it is safe to say that Krusty is okay, not sure whether he will be back in action today however.  Going to a four lap re-start in due course and then the race will be decided on combined time
  • 1013 - Red flag out, racesafe on the scene. Hopefully Krusty hasn't broken anything but has only scored a bad winding or something else that he can bounce back from today
  • 1012 - Greedy just went down, Krusty couldn't avoid him and went down also, a bike lying in the track, Krusty conscious but looking in pain
  • 1012 - 4 laps to go
