  • 1544 - That gives Jamie the round win from Russell Holland, Dan takes third and Scott Charlton gets fourth for the round ahead of Andrew Stroud and Robert Bugden
  • 1542 - Jamie takes the win and an important points buffer over Holland in the race for the championship.  Holland second, Dan Stauffer third, Charlton fourth, Stroud fifth, Bugden sixth, Allerton seventh, Johnson eighth, Etheridge ninth and Roe 10th
  • 1540 - Jamie's lead 8.1 seconds and only two laps to run. Scott Charlton now leads that battle for fourth place and they are closing on Dan Stauffer
  • 1539 - Four laps to run and finally Holland manages to get past Dan but the gap to Jamie is 8.5 seconds with now only three laps to run....
  • 1538 - Jamie's lead now out to 8.5 seconds and Dan still holding off Holland.  A good scrap over 4th place between Bugden, Charlton and Stroud, the injured Glenn Allerton in seventh just ahead of Shannon Johnson.
  • 1537 - Bugden, Charlton and Stroud starting to catch up to Holland and Dan Stauffer a little now...
  • 1536 - Holland noses in front of Dan again but Dan has the better line and takes that position right back...  Jamie's lead now 7.3 seconds.  Bugden 4th, Charlton 5th, Stroud 6th
  • 1535 - Jamie has more than five seconds on them now and Dan is doing a good job of holding out Holland
  • 1533 - Jamie and Russell both in the 53s now, Russell a 53.78, a 53.85 to Jamie... Russell will be spewing he didn't qualify on the front row here as it could have made all the difference... 3 seconds the gap and Holland easily gets past Dan Stauffer at the hairpin but then must have missed a gear on the exit which allowed Dan to easily go back through... This one must be Jamie's now... Holland's mistake cost him more than two seconds on that lap...
  • 1532 - Holland quickest man on the track again with a 53.97 but Jamie is on par with a 54.00... The gap still 3.2 seconds but Dan has lost touch with his brother and may fall into the clutches of Holland before the flag comes out.... 12 laps to run though so anything could happen...
  • 1530 - Jamie back in front now, Holland up to third and pulling away from his pursuers, the fastest man on lap four was indeed Holland with a 54.2 but the Yamaha duo are 3.2 seconds ahead of him and that gap will be too much to drag back at this circuit.....
  • 1529 - Dan in front of his brother now but the two running nose to tail and getting away. Wayne Maxwell headed into the pits with some sort of problem putting him out of third place and promoting Bugden into that spot, Johnson fourth, Charlton fifth, Stroud sixth, Holland seventh
  • 1528 - Holland must have made a mistake up near the hairpin as he is back in eighth now and has a long way to go if he is going to get up front and challenge Jamie.
  • 1527 - Jamie Stauffer away well, Holland a better start this time around and in fourth place behind Wayne Maxwell, the two Stauffer boys leading the way
  • 1517 - Word is that Shaun Geronomi may have broken his foot in his crash earlier today
  • 1514 - A big crowd here today, various opinions on the size with some guessing as high as 10,000.  In reality I think it would be perhaps up to 5,000 maybe, it is comparable to what we had in Queensland but I am not sure if it any appreciably bigger.  The local press has really got behind the event in a big way with good coverage in newspaper and also on primetime TV news
  • 1510 - Superbikes heading out now on their sighting lap but we are still well away from the race start as they will come round and have their tyre warmers etc. fitted on the grid.  Glenn Allerton opted out of the first Superbike bout but it appears he is going to have a crack at this one
  • 1505 - Track has been cleared now, race result declared after five of seven laps and half points only will be awarded for that final race.  Superbikes up next
  • 1457 - Red flag is out now after Barnes went down at turn six
  • 1456 - Barnes and Fraser have got away from Domaschenz and are fighting over the lead
  • 1453 - Michael Fraser leads the way from Cameron Barnes and Craig Domaschenz, Chris Trounson fourth 1.6 seconds behind the leading trio
  • 1452 - Dean Bonthorne has scored a jump start penalty of 10 seconds
  • 1451 - FX Cup men away in their final bout for the day
  • 1450 - 125 Points
  • 1440 - Supersport Points
  • 1438 - The surprise Supersport round winner is Jeremy Crowe with 37 points ahead of Jamie Stauffer and Bryan Staring who both ended the weekend with 36 points
  • 1436 - Simmonds takes the win, Moller second, Galvin third, Rigoli fourth, Hatton fifth and less than a second covered second place through to fifth. Thompson sixth, Campbell seventh, Metcher eighth, Humphreys ninth and last
  • 1435 - Simmonds looks to have this one wrapped up, the action is between Moller, Rigoli, Galvin and Hatton over the final two spots on the podium
  • 1432 - Simmonds has got away a little but there is a busy tussle unfolding for third place with Moller, Rigoli, Galvin and Hatton the closely bunched protagonists
  • 1431 - Galvin got the jump off the line but quickly came under attack from Brett Simmonds and Brent Rigoli in the final 125cc encounter for the day. After two laps Rhys Moller was in fourth, Tom Hatton fifth, Cath Thompson sixth
  • 1422 - Next up is the final 125 race of the day, then FX Cup, then Superbike before we round out the day with Pro Twins
  • 1418 - Provisional and somewhat controversial Supersport Race Two Results

  • 1414 - Okay, word is at the moment that results are going to be called as the order was after 16 of the 17 laps, thus counting back one.  Now the rules say that if you cause the red flag then you are removed from those results, and as the red flag was to get medical attention to Aitchison he is deemed to be the cause of the red flag, regardless of if he caused the accident or not, the red flag was to get medical attention to him thus he is the cause of the red flag and thus Aitchison will be removed from the results and O'Halloran will be declared the winner.... Even though it appears he was the one at fault in the accident.... Imagine if a championship was decided in something like that between two riders....
  • 1413 - Just saw the slow motion replay and it appeared that this one was O'Halloran was the one at fault in the fall.  He appeared to lose the front and slid into the rear half of Aitchison's bike which sent them both down.
  • 1408 - Last lap board now, yellow still being saved at turn six but everything there sorted... There, finally it is brought in now.... So O'Halloran can make a challenge there now if he is close enough, and he does, and again the two trip each other up and go down in the dirt.... Those boys are going to be getting a stern talking two once again from the team boss I would think.  Jamie cruises home for the win... Red flag is out now though, just after they crossed the line.... Not sure if they will go back a lap or not..... So results unclear as yet...  But as they crossed the line it was Stauffer, Staring, Crowe, Waters, Allerton
  • 1407 - Two laps to run and Aitchison has 4-tenths over O'Halloran but it isn't settled yet, there is a yellow flag at turn six however which be a factor in the results...
  • 1405 - Big tussle now over 5th place with Crowe and Waters now all over the back of Allerton and Shirriffs.  Aitchison getting away from O'Halloran a little now, Jamie looks settled to let them battle for the win while he settles for points
  • 1403 - They have the hammer down now, O'Halloran trying to stay with Aitchison but his Yamaha not looking as settled and getting a little untidy at the pace they are running.  Waters and Crowe had recovered from there lap one excursions to fight their ways back up to 7th and 8th respectively and were lapping quicker than Allerton and Shirriffs ahead of them
  • 1401 - Allerton and Craig Shirriffs are tussling over fifth place. Still nothing between the leading Yamaha trio, Staring a clear and safe looking fourth
  • 1359 - Aitchison in front now but less than half a second covers the leading trio
  • 1358 - The three Yamaha men have closed right up now, O'Halloran just put in a 55.6 to catch right onto the back of Aitchison and Stauffer
  • 1356 - Glenn Allerton has had some more pain killers to enable him to race in this encounter, he made it through this mornings race but opted out of the Superbike events as he is having trouble coping with the hard braking points and maximum acceleration required at this circuit with his collarbone giving him plenty of trouble
  • 1355 - Aitchison marginally quicker than Stauffer on lap two to reduce the gap between them down to 3-tenths, O'Halloran in third 1.4 seconds behind the leader and being chased by Bryan Staring
  • 1354 - Jamie Stauffer had the best clutch hand off the line and took the lead ahead of Mark Aitchison and pole sitter Jason O'Halloran, Bryan Staring fourth, Crowe and Waters came together at turn six and both ran off the circuit as a result
  • 1352 - Not too far away from a Supersport start now.
  • 1346 - I must say that the crowd here might have been a little disappointed with these delays in proceedings, most of the crowd is at one end of the circuit and we have all the riders sat on the grid down the other end...  And no stunt riders or amusement for the majority of the crowd at all...  I am sure that some spectators will voice their disappointment at that state of affairs
  • 1345 - The time on the schedule has been made up and we are five minutes away from the warm up lap for the Supersport boys
  • 1326 - Cartwright takes the win, Willis second, Van Rooyen third and Fripp fourth.  We believe a protest may have been lodged however as the BMWs were allowed out of pitlane later than they should have been according to some...  Provisional Results

  • 1321 - Nakedbikes away now in the final bout for the day and the usual suspects got away well but Simon Rattenbury lost the front at the hairpin to end his day on a sad note which left Cartwright to pull away from the BMW men and Aprilia mounted James Van Rooyen to chase the BMWs
  • 1312 - Trounson got Houwen for second place into turn one just after they got the last lap board and the two traded places all the way to the flag but it was Trounson who had his nose in front and Quinn surprised Houwen to push him back to fourth place in the closing stages. • 1308 - Andrews doing a runner already in this one, 1.4 seconds his lead by the end of his first lap while again Houwen and Trounson tussle over second place, Quinn and Brewster in that battle also at this early stage of the race
  • 1306 - Superstock start got held up a little for some reason but they finally got away and again it was Ian Andrews with the early advantage
  • 1304 - Big crowd here today that looked to really enjoy the lunch break to explore the pits and the displays of race bikes in pitlane readied for there perusal.  Hard to judge the crowd here as they are really concentrated in one area, but it looks damn impressive that's for sure.

  • 1231 - Jamie holds on and takes the win with a strong sprint to the flag, Dan third, Maxwell a great fourth and Bugden got back past Charlton for fifth place, Stroud seventh, Johnson eighth
  • 1230 - Jamie into the lead, Russell up to second place,  Jamie has put the hammer down hoping his brother could hold Holland up but Holland got through and is out after him, this is going to be a sprint now... Who will have the fastest time on this next lap....
  • 1229 - Charlton starting to challenge Bugden for fifth place...  The battle up front heating up also.... Lapped traffic starting to come into play also but they haven't been tripped up by it as yet...
  • 1228 - Lapped traffic now, Dan in front of Jamie and Russell... The three virtually nose to tail now...
  • 1227 - Jamie got Russell and Russell nearly ran up his clacker on the exit of one of the faster turns, Holland outside at the hairpin but that was not going to work and it cost him time, Holland now a couple of bike lengths behind the Yamaha brothers... 5 to run
  • 1226 - Holland all over the back of Dan Stauffer with six laps to run, Jamie right behind him also and ready to pounce should their be any mistakes, the leading trio fighting hard,  Maxwell 2 seconds behind in a strong and safe fourth place with 6 to run
  • 1224 - Holland down to 54.0 after getting past Maxwell, the Yamaha men doing 54.5... Oh my god, that was amazing, Holland took both Yamahas at once in a move that nobody here would have predicted, it messed up his exit and Dan squeezed back through to the lead but he has announced his intentions in the loudest of terms.... It's on!
  • 1223 - Holland all over the back of Maxwell now but it won't be easy to get past. Dan still holding off Jamie... Holland through now under brakes for the hairpin.... 9 laps to run in this shortened race....
  • 1221 - Dan still holding off the advances of Jamie, Holland has streaked away from Bugden, backed up his 53.6 with a 53.8 to close to within half a second of Maxwell,  only 1.5 seconds cover the leading quartet now.... Shaping up for battle....
  • 1220 - Maxwell closing on the Yamaha pair a little now, Holland has got past Bugden and immediately set a new fastest lap of the race with a stunning 53.6, he is on a mission
  • 1219 - Jamie looking for a way past his brother, both Yamaha men putting in a 54.3 on that last lap, Maxwell still third and Holland being held up a little by Bugden perhaps...
  • 1218 - Waters returned to pit lane to retire for some reason. Only a tenth separating Dan and Jamie, Maxwell 1 second behind them, Holland past Johnson and all over the back of Bugden now
  • 1217 - Russell Holland has his work cut out for him from seventh place early on the first lap, he got past Stroud for sixth late on the opening lap. Dan leading the way from Jamie and the two having a go at each other, Wayne Maxwell a strong third ahead of Bugden and Johnson
  • 1216 - Jamie Stauffer leads them through turn one ahead of his brother and Wayne Maxwell, Dan into the lead at the hairpin
  • 1211 - Superbike men on the grid with tyre warmers in place and brolly dollies at the ready, still a while away from a race start here.  Wind is still around but weaker than it has been all weekend, track temp is around 27 degrees and overall conditions are the best we have had all weekend
  • 1158 - Fraser wins by four seconds over Domaschenz, Van Rooyen home for third.  Provisional FX Cup Race Two Results. Superbikes up next...

  • 1140 - McMartin the winner, Willis home for second place, Van Rooyen third and Johnston got the better of Taborsky on the final lap to take fourth place
  • 1138 - The order looks to be settled in this one, McMartin looks safe in front, Willis safe in second, Van Rooyen has a slight edge over the battle for fourth which was a busy tussle between Taborsky and Johnston
  • 1137 - Willis is having a go in this one, with three laps to run he is 2.6 seconds behind Ducati mounted McMartin, Van Rooyen a distant third place
  • 1136 - One of the BMW men went down at the hairpin and officials rushed to clear the stricken bike from the middle of the track, the man down Stuart Fripp but he is up and looks to be uninjured
  • 1135 - Paul Roe's Aprilia was looking very untidy under brakes and on lap two he ended up running up the escape path before coming to rest in the sand. That promoted Stuart Fripp in to third place, Van Rooyen fourth, Taborsky fifth
  • 1134 - Pro Twins away now and again the BMW men get off the line well and Willis nearly came together with McMartin into turn one but they both remained upright, Fripp third and under attack from Paul Roe on the Aprilia
  • 1132 - Pro Twins / BEARS race up next
  • 1127 - 125 Race Two Provisional Results

  • 1126 - Simmonds takes the clear win from Galvin who by the end of the race had put good distance between himself and third placed Rigoli.
  • 1124 - Galvin has managed to put a little breathing space between himself and Rigoli now, Simmonds leads by 1.7 seconds.  Hatton 2 seconds behind Rigoli in fourth then there is another five seconds before Cath Thompson
  • 1122 - Simmonds starting to get away from them a little while Rigoli started to show a wheel to Galvin at various points around the circuit
  • 1121 - Simmonds hit the lead into turn six and Rigoli got Hatton for third place at turn seven, Rhys Moller right in there too
  • 1120 - Peter Galvin smoked them off the start line to lead the field around the first lap ahead of Simmonds and Hatton but the two youngsters quickly started to hassle the elder statesman of the class
  • 1119 - The races for the smaller classes have been reduced to seven laps while the Supersport and Superbike events have been shortened to 17 laps, the last Nakedbike race will be only six laps
  • 1116 - We are a fair way behind schedule here in Tassie thus the rest of today's proceedings will be shortened to try and claw back some of that lost time. Next out are the 125 GP riders for their second race of the weekend
  • 1111 - Supersport Race One Provisional Results - Waters tried to get on the gas hard enough to take Staring in the final turns but each time he hit the throttle the rear end of his Kawasaki stepped out and nearly launched him, in fact it came VERY close to launching him into orbit

  • 1109 - Aitchison gets the last lap board with a 7.8 second buffer over Crowe who in turn has nearly 4 seconds on Staring, Waters still within striking distance of Staring for the final spot on the podium
  • 1107 - Aitchison leads by 6.5 seconds with a couple of laps to run, Crowe's second place looks safe also but the final spot on the podium is still being fought out between Staring and Waters
  • 1106 - Major tussle unfolding between Staring and Waters who are now fighting for third place following the unfortunate demise of O'Halloran. Aitchison can control it up front from here on in, 5 laps to run and he enjoys a 5 second buffer over Crowe who is riding to a brilliant second place
  • 1104 - O'Halloran's Yamaha has stopped on him... Disaster for the youngster, Aitchison inherited the lead but only a corner later he nearly ended up in the wall as his R6 went into quite a tankslapper, it looked as though he wouldn't stay on but somehow it settled down again, was a very scary looking moment though and if it had ejected him he would have been straight to hospital that's for sure, a large wall would have greeted his exit
  • 1103 - Nothing in it between O'Halloran and Aitchison, Crowe keeping his buffer over Staring and Waters. Less than half race distance and the leaders are already starting to lap people
  • 1102 - Waters closing on Staring now, Crowe is still in third place and has 1.8 seconds over his pursuers but is over four seconds behind the leading duo
  • 1101 - Waters pushes Stauffer back to sixth place, up front it is still O'Halloran and Aitchison... That pair have brought each other down before so lets hope it doesn't happen again
  • 1100 - Staring gets the better of Stauffer on lap seven to move up to fourth place
  • 1059 - 13 laps to run

  • 1057 - O'Halloran managing to keep his small advantage over Aichison, that pair now 1.2 seconds ahead of Crowe who is starting to come under attack from Stauffer who is riding his spare machine, Staring 5th Waters 6th, Allerton 7th
  • 1055 - O'Halloran maintaining his small lead over Aitchison and the pair have sneaked away from Crowe a little, Stauffer fourth, Staring fifth, Waters sixth, Allerton seventh, Shirriffs eighth
  • 1053 - And they are away in the restart with Jason O'Halloran in the lead from Mark Aichison and Jeremy Crowe
  • 1051 - Campbell made it for the warm up so he will take up his starting position on the second row when they form up for the start
  • 1048 - Tyre warmers being removed now and things being readied for the warm up laps
  • 1043 - With Krusty missing from the second row along with now Geronomi and Campbell doing some quick repairs in the pits at the moment Staring is the only rider on the second row
  • 1036 - That stoppage will mean that the riders will get two warm up laps and the race will be shortened by a lap thus this race will now be a 19 lap affair when it finally gets underway
  • 1035 - Track crews now clearing up the mess at the hairpin left behind by Geronomi's R6 leaking its fluids on the circuit
  • 1033 - Riders back on the grid with tyre warmers going back on, Scott Campbell managed to ride back to the pits and we will have a full re-start and he wasn't the cause of the red flag so if they can repair the bike in time he should be able to restart
  • 1032 - Geronomi being given first aid on the track, he is conscious but in a fair bit of pain by the look of it. He is a tough little bugger though, short in stature but what there is of him is a power packed little package of muscle
  • 1030 - Local favourite Scott Campbell went down early on the first lap and one of the leading Yamahas went down at the hairpin which brought the red flag out, think the man down there was Shaun Geronomi, his bike leaking its lifeblood over the track thus the cause of the red flag
  • 1029 - Riders forming on the grid for the race start now, Jamie takes his place on the front row aboard his spare bike...
  • 1025 - As the riders were sat on the grid with their brolly dollies it was discovered that Jamie Stauffer's R6 was dropping a little oil so the Kurri Kurri man jumped the fence to collect his spare bike from the pits and would start the warm up lap from pit lane
  • 1014 - The first of the major events up next, Supersport Race One
  • 1013 - Provisional Nakedbike Race Two Results

  • 1011 - Rattenbury holds on for the win in lapped traffic, Cartwright second, Willis brings the BMW home 18 seconds behind the FZ-1 Yamaha men, Fripp got away from Van Rooyen to take a safe fourth. Fifth place went to Jon Collins on the KTM some 44 seconds behind the leader
  • 1010 - Good crowd out here today and conditions still the best they have been all weekend. Last lap board and only 2-tenths separated Rattenbury and Cartwright at the front
  • 1008 - It looked as though Rattenbury might get away but Cartwright upped his efforts on lap two to claw back some ground on the local man.  The pair lapping two seconds a lap quicker than third placed BMW man Mark Willis who in turn had two seconds on Fripp who was starting to come under attack from Van Rooyen
  • 1005 - Rattenbury got the best jump off the line ahead of Cartwright and the two BMW men
  • 1004 - Nakedbikes on their warm up lap now
  • 0953 - Those not to finish are Bonthorne, Sciberras, Nicholson and Corcoran
  • 0952 - Provisional Results from Superstock Race Two

  • 0951 - Andrews again the winner, Trounson home second and on the last lap it must have been Houwen's time to have a moment as he lost a lot of time on that final lap to finish a further three seconds down in third...
  • 0950 - Trounson must have had a big moment on the penultimate lap, he lost a lot of time that lap, Andrews now enjoys a 3.3 second buffer and Trounson is being attacked by Houwen again... Bonthorne down at turn six
  • 9499 - Andrews maintaining his lead at 2.2 seconds and not streaking away like he did yesterday.  Trounson has pulled away from Houwen to the tune of a few bike lengths.  Trounson with a new fastest lap of the race, the gap to the leader down to 1.58 seconds now with two laps to run
  • 0948 - Bonthorne and McConnell having a major tussle over sixth place, thought that it was going to end in tears there for a second when Bonthorne tried to force his way into a gap up the inside that really wasn't there
  • 0947 - Trounson picking up pace now and Houwen is struggling to stay with him, that pair have left Brewster and Quinn now to battle over fourth position
  • 0946 - Trounson back up to second place now, Andrews leads by 2.15 seconds, Houwen third, Brewster fourth, Quinn fifth, McConnell sixth, Bonthorne seventh, Sciberras eighth
  • 0945 - Andrews leads by 1.87 seconds over Houwen now and Houwen has his hands full with Trounson, Brewster and Quinn with that four in a tight knit group battling for position
  • 0944 - Houwen has got the better of Trounson for second place but Andrews took 8-tenths out of them on the opening lap, he took a second and a half out of them on every one of the first three laps yesterday so things a little closer today
  • 0943 - Superstockers are away.... Will anyone be able to challenge Andrews today....?  He leads them through turn one and is pulling away again on what looks as though it could be a repeat performance for the Adelaide man on his GSX-R
  • 0930 - An update on Adam Fergusson.... His hip was dislocated and they popped it back in for him last night and give him some good drugs to cope with that little episode and it now seems that his collarbone might not be broken. There is a chance he will be allowed out of hospital this afternoon to come out to the track for a look. It was a heavy fall though and he will be hurting all over, lots....
  • 0915 - Some short delays here this morning due to problems with the video cameras set up to record the event
  • 0910 - Back up and running here this morning ay Symmons Plains. Wind not as strong as yesterday but still a little gusty, sky is fairly blue and clear and the sun has decided to shine, so much so I have even dared to take my jacket off!  Won't be too long before we are underway with Superstock race two
