• 1655 - Pro Twins Qualifying just wrapped up with McMartin ahead of Roe, Willis, Johnston, Van Rooyen, Pierpoint, Fripp, Smith
• 1647 - Today's qualifying results - Nakedbike - 125 - FX Cup - Sidecar - Superstock - Only Pro Twins to run
• 1636 - Superstock qualifying has finished up with Trounson quickest ahead of Andrews, Kokshoorn, Parry, Higgins and Sciberras
• 1630 - Superstock qualifying not far from finishing now with Trounson on top from Andrews, Kokshoorn and Parry
• 1610 - Sidecar first qualifying just wrapped up with Sellar on top from Treasure, Soutar, James, Bruce and Brown.
• 1545 - Provisional Superbike Combined Friday Practice Times
• 1542 - Shannon down to 32.35 now.  Not bad after being off the bike for two months...
• 1536 - Jamie down to 31.98 now.. Staring and Allerton down to 33s to push Maxwell back to eighth
• 1530 - Still Shawn and Jamie on top with those early times as riders test tyres and suspension settings in their quest for a race long set-up for Sunday where conditions are predicted to be much warmer. Bugden just moved up to third quickest with a 33.42, Johnson fourth 33.54, Holland 33.55 then it is Maxwell 34.35, Staring 34.51 and Allerton 34.63
• 1524 - Russell Holland has a new engine tune for this meeting, one with a bit more top end.  He tried some different gearing in the first session that they thought might work better with the new engine but in this session they are going back to their normal Eastern Creek gearing and adjusting the mapping a little. Russell has put in a 33.5 so far in this session
• 1520 - Gilesy and Jamie the first men in the 32s, a 32.5 to Shawn and 32.9 to Jamie.
• 1510 - Superbike second practice about to kick off... Will Jamie crack out a qualifier in this one and aim for 29 or will he wait for tomorrow?  Will the stiffer spring in Gilesy's Suzuki for this session help him to keep the front wheel in touch with terra firma in this session?  This morning Gilesy was having trouble with the Suzuki even lifting the front out of turn one!!!

• 1400 - Crowe also in the 33s now with a 33.72
• 1354 - I am pretty sure we are seeing the fastest ever laps of Eastern Creek by a Supersport done right now by the Yamaha boys. Aitchison a 1m33.4!
• 1349 - Supersport second practice on now. We just had Nakedbike First Qualifying
• 1254 - Lunch break now
• 1246 - Superbike First Practice
• 1243 - Giles second quickest now, down to 32.85.  Conditions are predicted to get warmer throughout the weekend with Sunday temperatures approaching 30c....  Could be another good weekend for the Dunlop boys if that forecast holds true come Sunday
• 1242 - I must say that this year Eastern Creek seems a friendlier place. Don't know if there have been a lot of staff changes over the last year or so but I know every Eastern Creek track member I have come across in earlier years have all been right sourpusses.  But here this year we have phone lines (GASP) and even broadband access!!!  It was only a year or so ago where it was a fight to get a single phone line to work and a single chair in the 'media centre' as if the race series promoter didn't pay them a heap of money to use the media centre we were basically locked out. That's business I guess, and the track should not cop all the blame, but it certainly made me dread coming here to battle on and try and bring you some useful measure of coverage. So that turnaround has been great.  The food is still wildly overpriced and barely edible though, some things don't change it seems....
• 1235 - Weather is a little overcast here but fine and with very little breeze. Temperature is around 20c.  Jamie is still on top with that 1m32.08 from Shannon (33.4), Giles (34.0), Staring (34.3), Bugden (36.6).  Krusty is sitting this one out because of his shoulder injury that failed to mend
• 1228 - Jamie down to 1m32.0 now. Johnson next best on 33.48...
• 1221 - Superbikes on track now and Jamie straight down to 1m32.5
• 1147 - Sidecars on track now for their first practice then we should have the super duper bikes up next around 1210
• 1141 - Pro Twin first practice just wrapped up with Roe on top from Willis, Johnston, Van Rooyen, Pierpoint, Fripp, Sutton, Smith, Marukic, Bryan and Russell.  Only 11 riders took to the track in that session and Roe was quickest with a 1m38.10, Willis got the BMW down to 39s for second quickest. Over the 11 riders there is a laptime difference of 12 seconds....  Hopefully things close up this afternoon...
