From our LIVE page, unedited transcript of how we called proceedings

  • 1729 - Jamie smoked the Dunlop on his R1 as he ran onto the main straight to claim the win from Holland, the final gap 1.8 seconds.  Staring won that heady battle for third place to cross the line 10 seconds behind Holland, Allerton 4th, Dan Stauffer 5th, Johnson 6th, Bugden 7th, Maxwell 8th. But of course Staring, Allerton and Johnson will lose those positions for running a new tyre which should promote Dan Stauffer into 3rd, Bugden into 4th, Maxwell into 5th, Charlton into 6th, Tozer 7th and Watts 8th ahead of Spence, Alistair Maxwell, Battista, Higgins and Stronach
  • 1728 - Staring tidy, sliding much less than Allerton and keeping good lines... It may pay dividends on this final lap...
  • 1727 - Last lap board and Jamie just put in the fastest lap of the race to extend his lead over Russell out to 1.24 seconds... Staring still in third but Allerton, Johnson and Dan Stauffer are all right behind him and looking to challenge...
  • 1725 - Allerton on a late charge, took fifth from Dan and then fourth from Johnson... He is after his teammate now...
  • 1723 - The battle for third still being fought in earnest and it is Staring that holds the advantage with three laps to run... That battle unfolding 6 seconds behind the leading duo...
  • 1721 - Russell Holland was getting on the gas and drifting out of one of the fast left handers and he actually drifted into Jamie and the two made contact at speed... Both remained upright in what was a very strange looking incident, not sure if Russell was really at fault or if Jamie ran a different line to normal... Was exciting nonetheless...
  • 1720 - Staring back through on Johnson now... Allerton has joined the party,  this group running virtually nose to tail, Bryan, Shannon, Dan, Glenn then a few bike lengths back to Bugden and Maxwell who are tussling over 7th position
  • 1719 - Johnson up the inside of Staring at turn one to take third place from the Honda man... Allerton looking to turn the battle for third into a four-way affair...
  • 1718 - Shannon has also got the better of Dan now pushing the Yamaha man back to fifth place ahead of Allerton, Bugden and Maxwell
  • 1717 - Staring up to third now after getting the better of Dan...  Jamie and Russell pulling away out in front, 1.6 seconds quicker than their pursuers on that first lap...
  • 1716 - Jamie gets off the line well and wins the drag race to turn one with Holland right behind, Dan was all over the back of Holland before running wide between turns 1 and 2 and out on to the gravel momentarily but he rejoined the tarmac without losing a position, looked scary though and allowed Holland plenty of breathing space
  • 1714 - Hmmm... Interesting but silly development here.... Allerton, Johnson and Staring are racing on unmarked tyres which means they will get 60 second penalties added to their race results.... They are swapping results on paper for a chance to fight up front on new rubber in this race... Of course we have seen this before and it was as silly then as it is now...
  • 1713 - Aussie Superbikes on their warm up lap now
