The sun went back on Losail circuit and, obviously, on the dry track the performances increase quickly. After clinching 14th place in the normal qualifying session, Roberto Rolfo bettered that performance in Superpole to earn 11th place on the grid for tomorrow's two races.

The two 749R Ducati machines of the Scuderia Caracchi camp recorded the highest top speeds in Supersport but the lack of set-up time with the machines has meant that riders Josh Brookes and Luka Nedog qualified only 25th and 33rd quickest in the final qualifying session.

“I cannot be satisfied with that. We worked on the suspension a lot but still can't get the bike handling the way I like. The top speed is certainly a positive but the lack of dry time has meant we haven't been able to capitalise on it. The team is working hard and tomorrow I start from the seventh row tomorrow and I can't wait for the race."
