  • 1200 - Session ended and the order is - Bayliss, Corser, Haga, Toseland, Martin, Pitt, Rolfo, Muggas, Barros, Nieto, Walker, Clementi, Chili, Kagayama, Lanzi, Laconi, Abe, Foret, Neukirchner, Fabrizio, Gimbert, Xaus, Borciani, Nakatomi, Battaini, Jones, Pedercini, Iannuzzo
  • 1158 - Bayliss under at the first split again... A couple of tenths off at the second split... Seconds counting down now to the flag...
  • 1152 - Bayliss smashes it down to a 1m32.321.... How will Corser respond and will he get a clear lap to do it...?
  • 1151 - Bayliss nearly half a second under at the second split...
  • 1150 - Toseland and Muggas both out on sticky tyres now, Toseland under at the first split... But then gets caught up in traffic and has to abort his go at a fast one.  Muggeridge made a dramatic jump up to 6th from 16th with a 1m33.702
  • 1149 - A lot of the top runners back in for a soft and sticky hoop... 10 minutes left in the session
  • 1147 - Neukirchner just went for another slide down the road after getting flicked out of the seat trying to get out of MG Hairpin, his foot got caught in the back of the machine but he seemed to walk away okay
  • 1143 - Corser and Haga back on track now... Bayliss going quick again and only one-hundredth off his best at the first split... Down a couple of tenths at the second split... 1m33.26 that time around. Corser and Haga getting up to speed now
  • 1142 - Bayliss under at the first split...  Down a couple of tenths at the second split...Goes through with a 1m33.27
  • 1140 - Bayliss back on track, less than 20 minutes to run in this session now
  • 1134 - The three top men, Bayliss, Corser and Haga all currently in pit lane.  Toseland 4th quickest, Rolfo 5th, Nieto 6th, Barros 7th, Martin 8th, Pitt 9th, Clementi 10th.
  • 1132 - Corser under at the first split now...  line ball on second split.... and also goes into the 1m32s with a 1m32.991 but Bayliss still on top by a gnat's whisker
  • 1130 - Bayliss on another flyer now.... 0.149 under at the first split....  0.159 under at second split... Lowers the mark again this time to 1m32.926.  30 minutes remaining in this session
  • 1128 - Corser still looking for a good set-up, changing shocks presently.  Bayliss on a flyer...  Lowers the mark to 1m33.32
  • 1123 - A lot of the World Superbike are running various forms of electronic traction control but we believe Barros does not have this on his machine... And it does look that way as the Brazilian has his Fireblade excitingly sideways around some of the fast turns and looking to be having lots of fun.  The Brazilian has more 500cc/MotoGP starts than any other rider in history and enjoying his switch to Superbikes
  • 1122 - Muggeridge only 12th quickest and his Ten Kate Honda not looking too tidy as it seems to be squirming everywhere, on entry, mid turn and on the exit.  Obviously still to find a set up that works for him
  • 1120 - Barros just came in and changed the fork springs and gearing as he finds his way around what makes the Honda go quick
  • 1119 - Rolfo has tagged on the back of Corser on that lap and is up to 4th quickest while Corser up to 3rd quickest.  Haga still the 2nd quickest man.  Rolfo continuing to follow Corser around...  Corser let him through out of Siberia after getting sick of having him on his tail
  • 1116 - Bayliss on a reasonably quick one, 2-tenths off at the first split and looking for a clear lap... A 1m33.8 to Bayliss that time around
  • 1108 - Bayliss the early pace setter this morning with a 1m33.3 ahead of Haga, Corser, Barros, Toseland, Martin and Pitt.  Times will tumble in this session as the wind is a little more favourable than yesterday and the track is cooler...
  • 1106 - Yukio Kagayama just went for a tumble into the gravel trap but got up okay. The Suzuki man got highsided out of the seat while trying to get out of Southern Loop. A couple of riders had to take evasive action
  • 1058 - Superbikes out next for their second qualifying session, the top 16 from which will contest Superpole to decide the final grid later this afternoon.
