Winston Ten Kate Honda’s Karl Muggeridge set the eight fastest time in today’s first qualifying session at the short Silverstone circuit in UK at round five of the World Superbike Championship.

Muggas has been working on his pilates and yoga exercises to strengthen his back since Monza and it feels a lot better, but it still gets a little bit sore and tiered after two sessions.

Muggas comments: “We tried out a lot of things today and covered a lot of ground. We were having a bit of a pitching problem and were also struggling to find a good setting to absorb all those bumps. However we think we found a solution for these problems and made some changes to the bike. So hopefully it will be a bit more user friendly tomorrow morning”

Bayliss took provisional pole in today’s first qualifying session. He beat his fellow Aussie Corser by 0.57 seconds even though he crashed out twice this afternoon.
