Charpentier got off the line well from pole position with Curtain and Parkes in tow. Curtain had a go at getting under Charpentier late on the first lap and was ever so close to stealing the lead but Charpentier held onto it. Curtain again tried to get underneath the Frenchman a few corners later but again the Ten Kate man held on. Charpentier and Curtain started to break away from Parkes after a few laps but Parkes redoubled his efforts on lap five with the fastest lap of the race thus far and was knocking on the door of the lap record to close right back up to Curtain. Pere Riba then put in some good laps to start closing on the leading trio. On lap eight Parkes went past Curtain but a few corners later Curtain took that second place right back. The pair changed places again on the next lap and their dicing had allowed Riba to close on them further but on the next lap Riba must have had a moment somewhere as he lost a couple of bike lengths on the Yamaha men once again. Parkes got away from Curtain on lap 11 and started threatening Charpentier. The Frenchman getting on the gas hard out of the turns and his Pirellis were squirming and stepping out in progress. Parkes getting really aggressive and the front squirming and moving around under brakes. Charpentier was trying ever so hard to break away from Parkes again and by half race distance had managed to build a small buffer and escape from the threat of Broc sticking it under him at every turn. The Frenchman having to work real hard to do it though, slipping and sliding his way around the track, skipping kerbs and riding with major aggression. Parkes looked to be struggling for rear grip as the laps counted down and Curtain was closing him down. With four laps to run Charpentier was maintaining a significant three second lead over the Yamaha men and it was starting to look as though Parkes would be able to hold off Curtain to take second place. With two laps to run Parkes had drastically pulled away from Curtain and his second place was looking safe. Charpentier went on to take another win while Parkes came home 2.8 seconds behind the Frenchman but a considerable 4 seconds ahead of his team-mate. Charpentier now enjoys a 40 point lead over Curtain while Robin Harms holds down third place 5 points ahead of Parkes.
