Riding – Our coaches need to be quick, and able to ride quick while spending their attention on their students. A racing background is preferable, but not necessary. If you don’t have a racing background, you would need to have several years fast group track day experience as a minimum. The racetrack is our workplace environment and you will need to demonstrate a high level of comfort and ability in that environment.

Availability – This year we are running 42 days throughout Australasia. When you include travel dates it means we are away for anywhere up to 80 days per year. As a minimum you will need to be available for at least 20 days per year. Please do not apply if you will have trouble meeting that requirement.

Anyone who’s attended a CSS event will likely attest to the fact that all our are staff are friendly individuals who share a strong passion for motorcycles. We’re obviously looking for the same from applicants

Prior school attendance – It’s not a pre-requisite to have attended CSS prior to your tryout, however if you’ve never attended it would be wise to develop a working understanding of the material in Twist of the Wrist II prior to trying out.

General – Anyone who’s attended a CSS event will likely attest to the fact that all our are staff are friendly individuals who share a strong passion for motorcycles. We’re obviously looking for the same from applicants. The training involved in becoming a coach is tough, and involves a great deal of study and practical assessment. It also never ends…. If you are adverse to being tested, challenged, observed, or educated, you may find the role to be too much. If you thrive on those things, apply.
