Aussie veteran Paul Caslick led the Troy Bayliss Classic final before being overhauled in the final stages by Americans Jared Mees and Henry Wiles.
It was Michigan’s Jared Mees who crossed the line for victory ahead of Wiles with Caslick rounding out the podium ahead of the event’s namesake Troy Bayliss who suffered from a bad start and mentioned he would have liked the race to have been six laps longer so he had a chance to try and run down the front runners.
Earlier in the night the American run-off events saw Troy Herfoss see off all-comers to take the Americana win ahead of Luke Richards and Troy Bayliss. Herfoss also went into the Troy Bayliss Classic Cup race as the hot favourite on the night but the Goulburn based Honda rider ran wide while working his way up the field and crashed out uninjured.
Chris Watson won the star-studded Legends category.
